The new and improved Leadbelcher is all about maximizing your gun potential. While Burst Limiter Override is still a subpar keystone when compared to alternatives, it does have a couple of weapons it interact very favorably with - either Crit oriented Achlys or Bleed and Fire Ripper.
Crit Achlys is exactly as it sounds - by utilizing the Keystone, Massacre and Crit perk on the weapon we can get respectable 25% Crit Chance, which works well with stubber and Achlys especially thanks to their unique Crit Chain mechanic (when triggered crit will impact the next 6 bullets). Crits also improve damage and offer mini-rending, which translates to Achlys overall higher DPS than seen on
paper. Add to that the big mag, Charmed Reload and Light’em Up! And you get yourself an ammo hungry, but beastly weapon that can easily swipe entire mobs of the face of Tertium.
Alternatively, the legendary, meme-worthy Bleed Ripper exists as well as a suprisingly solid option. With Cavalcade, Flechette and Crit Perk you can reach above 40% Crit Chance, and while using the Point-Blank Barrage with fire ammo you can stack both Bleed and Burn on your targets, absolutely melting any boss in sight as well as decimating mixed hordes with surprising ease. It’s is however a
huge ammo hog and will require some good game sense to know when to switch from your melee to use it to best potential.
Maximum Firepower is a huge player here - together with Bruiser and maxed out Keystone this setup basically resets your Point-Blank Barrage on use, as long as you managed to unleash it into a target rich environment. The uptime on the ability should be pretty much constant, enabling you a very agressive way to play - as long as Emperor is generous with his ammo drops across the map.
When it comes to alternative routes, both have their benefits. Reloaded and Ready grants some good damage boost to a Ripper, while Steady Grip is a very good survival tool for any gun-totting ogryn. Too Stubborn to Die, alternatively, doubles any toughness gain you can generate when low on HP, turning your Smash’em! and Bullet Bravado into tool of extreme survivability. - Hry

pro tip for the ammo economy with this build, equip the MASSIVE Ogryn backpack, this will ensure you're team mates lines of sight are completely blocked preventing them from firing any shots thus leaving more ammo for you!
The ability cooldown, charmed reload, and free ammo synergies are great to see working well. Im actually quite surprised.

it's good that BLO now mostly works as intended. i conceptually really liked it but the numbers were just too low to justify
I put together almost the same build for doing the new penances. Its my new favorite build for the big guy.
Holy Smokes! This build is Dakka++ powerful! I just played a lights out maelstrom and the game director went bonkers all at once with: 2 weak monstrosities, an assault group of shotgunners, crushers, and bulwarks and an ambush horde. The three other teammates went down instantly and I get backed into a corner. But I just went ham with the ultimate proc'ing one right after the other and melted everything in front of me. Fortunately, the engagement started with 100% ammo and I even found a red ammo bag in a crate right beside me. So, I was able to just hold the LMB and destroy everything. I'd say the right side of the Ogryn talent tree is finally viable now.
Absolutely is! Glad to hear you had a situation to witness it's outrageous power :D Being able to Ult after Ult after Ult is pretty cracked, and as long as you are fed steady diet of Boolets you can become an absolute menace.

just wanted to say, i put this build together today because i need to do penances lol...this build is super fun.
Been playing with point blank barrage and a shovel and its an insane build. I figured carapace would be good on a shovel cuz in scab only i wasnt getting that many one shots even though I have thrust on my shovel. Maybe i wasnt hitting them in the right place but maulers have carapace heads so maybe xix shovel with carapace will do the trick.
Yeah you need +Carapace damage perk, Thrust, and either a PERFECT roll or some Heavy Hitter stacks or Crunch to reach the oneshot breakpoint on Crushers.

Is toughnessregen from the cuious realy stacking with steady grip like you said? Would be strange because it doesnt stack with anything else
They don't multiply each other but they stack in the sense that the effects add up separately and it's very strong passive toughness regen. The more of it you have, the better it becomes.

You weren't kidding when you said you were bad at math! 5x 8% = 40% for Blaze Away
30, 40, potato tomato. It's more than 4 either way which means it's A Lot and that's all you need to know!
Would be better with the archyls stubber because more magazine capacity and more dakka
Would a similar achlys with overwhelming power+charmed reload work okay with this build too😅?
Absolutely. BA is a nice general DMG boost, so it will kill more things faster, but Overwhelming will still offer lovely bonus in shaving down Bulwarks, Crushers, Reapers and Bosses (maulers too for a fact, rager if you focus well...) Achlys shoot so fast you can trigger the bonus into most targets you aim at.
Is the aura Stay Close! not working properly or is it just redundant?
I completed my Stay Close! penance in like one Maelstrom Mission.

It's just a weak effect (less value than a single +Toughness regen Curio perk) and competes with two bonuses (extra damage) that you can't get from your curios.
playing this build from last 3 months, daam now everyone gonna use it! not a secret anymore
I try this build, heretic die so fast. But the real enemy is the speed of team mate opening chest and looting bullet. With no bullet i feel useless, especially on hi-intensity type mission, ammo gone so fast and must race with team mate for ammo foraging XD. Maybe i'll use gorgonum rather than acylss for ammo economy.
Gotta team up with a couple of psykers!

Ah yes. The real nerf to Veteran and Survivalist. Ogynrs that don't know how to use their Impact weapons to help teammates do more damage to finish runs more efficently and spending a Big Ammo's worth of bullets in 20 secodns because they feel like it. We must embrace them, for they know not how they sin.
If that big ammo pack means entire mixed mob killed and boss melted, then that's teamwork :)
Brrrt is fun.
And I can still melee with the gun if they get too close.
