  • Hey my loves,
In this podcast episode, I will talk about how to increase your metabolism. Who does not want to be able to eat as much as you can and look good?
You might find yourself in a position where you think your metabolism is damaged. Well, first, I want to remove some fear from you and say this is impossible. Your metabolism can adapt to a lower calorie intake and, therefore, maintain and not decrease any more. This is the consequence of a caloric deficit, aka dieting. The higher and longer you have been in a deficit, the longer it will take to increase your metabolism back to its normal or natural desired rate. This means metabolic adaptations are happening, but those metabolic adaptations are always reversible. That said, I want to highlight that there is no magic way to make your metabolism faster when your metabolism is already functioning at its highest rate. But chances are high that that's not the case when you click on this episode. I will share today how you can leverage your nutrition, training, and lifestyle habits to increase metabolism to its highest potential.

Actually research shows that none of the tools said to speed up your metabolism actually do much long-term as the body is pretty smart adapting. And in a way we usually don't like. But it's actually simple: eat more and your body will burn more, eat less and your body will burn less. Building muscle itself doesn't increase BMR all that much, but the training, the repairing of tissues, actually using more contractile tissue than before, etc does add up. Thermic effect of food is really cool, I eat about 3500 kcal daily and actually can't gain weight because it's unprocessed and I mive a lot.

hi so I ate restrictively for a while (wasn't too extreme but maybe around 1000 cal. ) I wasn't in an extreme eating disorder or something but now I relize that I am not loosing anything and I wanna try again with a healthier option (eating 1400) but I am worried that my metabolism adapted and I have to increase it/ eat maintenance for a few months?
is this true or can I just jump up to 1400 and loose weight?

I'm afraid of calorie surplus cause I worked so hard to lose fat. I had surplus for 2 weeks and gained 1 kg and stopped that and got back on deficit

I lost my period for 7 months. I'm taking iron pills and doing Hit workouts and walking 15 minutes and eating healthy. I don't know what's the problem and can't find a doctor where I live

The HIIT can mess with your hormones. There's research showing that it might not be beneficial for women. So maybe switch to weight training and make sure to eat enough fats!

Would not recommend HIT Training in this case or eating more! Do Not Train on Empty stomach ❀

Taking iron pills is not recommended unless a doctor actually prescribes you iron supplements. It can be dangerous to take something you don’t need especially iron because you don’t urinate out excess iron like you would with say, calcium.
