Listening to Roy Keane slagging off De Gea is really bizzare. De Gea has been incredible for Man United for over a decade. It's not his fault that the rest of the team deteriorated over the years. If De Gea was the keeper between 2000 and 2013 he would have been considered one of the greats.
sure hed be goated in the era they werent expect to be good on the ball lol, i appreciate him but he stayed longer than he should
I reckon he doesn't like him coz Sir Alex does and brought him in. When Gary Neville in the past criticised De Gea Sir Alex would tell him not to
Agreed. De Gea has split the fans and hearing Roy be against DDG was surprising. He won the golden glove ffs
Keane doesn't like goalkeepers who can't do the basics. He likely thinks De Gea makes big flashy saves but can't control his box, doesn't claim crosses, and can't get off his line to sweep. We also don't need to mention his shocking distribution. Just today the Fulham goal doesn't happen if De Gea makes an easy high claim instead of forcing Maguire to make the more difficult play and head it out for a corner. These are little things that some don't notice, but its huge over the course of a season.
There is absolutely nothing David De Gea could do to elicit a single word of praise from Roy Keane. Even if United won the Title, Keano would say they only won it in spite of De Gea. Perhaps he should criticise the likes of Maguire, McTominay, De Beek, Martial and others, before sticking it to De Gea every, single time. Even when he has a flawless game, Keane says he's just doing what he's paid to do. How many games would we have lost this Season and many others before, but for De Gea. Change the record Roy.

True, although I can understand his thinking somewhat. De gea has made a few big errors this season and he is not a typical modern goal keeper. That said I have no idea which available keepers who would be an immediate upgrade. The keeper position is the least of United's worries.

Never understand the harsh criticism of David De Gea, he's kept us in that many games this year and bar 4 or 5 games bad games he's been class. There's a huge reason he gets this treatment and that's because he's easy to blame when losing as the strikers aren't doing him favours by scoring very little, you take out the Liverpool, Brighton, man city and Brentford results and that shows you what he's done, again a few little mistakes ie west ham and europa which was a fail on the out team players really, concentrate on the outfield and yes competition for de gea is always good but the outfield needs more work than anything.

Keano and Micah are gold 😄
I don’t bother watching punditry anymore, it’s such biased drivel. Let me guess; Roy Keane said Man Utd and Jamie Carrragher said Liverpool.
Micah with the Spurs dagger to Keane at the end 😂
Hahaha so glad to hear Roy say his best catchphrase… “that’s his job”
Love how a lot of the neutrals are finally saying what we arsenal fans say about the media, their agenda is crazy. We have the youngest team in the league, have secured champions league football and finished 2nd, 9 points off of 3rd and 5 points behind city (tbf thats only because they took it easier in the last 2 games). But if youre a player and your moving to a big 6 club (excluding city, arsenal are more appealing than the others)
I think Richards is hopeless as an analyst but in this case he's right with Chelsea and arsenal. Chelsea finished 10th one season and won the league the next one and arsenal only lost by 4 pts in the end so you can't totally dismiss them. Granted a lot will depend on who Chelsea bring in as a manager but the potential is there aswell as having no European distractions.
Michah said arsenal just because they playing good, chelsea is just random possibility. MU, Liverpool are the logical one. MU just need striker, Liverpool will comeback because klop still there (with good signing on midfield)
Pretty great season overall. Most pundits had ManCity-Liverpool-Spurs-Chelsea as top four… lol. All three promoted teams survive their first season back up. Even somewhat a title challenge! Hoping for even better next season, the Prem continues to point upward
Brilliant comment at the end from Roy to Micah - you're being told what to say in your ear piece - Robot!! LOL
I like how we as Arsenal are cruising under the radar. The media don't think we will challenge & that's what I like..... urgh! My appetite is off the roof I should get some fries its gon be hell of a ride next season . I see Man U on the list too I think they'll perform well. COYG
Liverpool will once they get Mac Allister and few others in
A few quality midfielders gets liverpool challenging for the title again.
Mac Allister… when we we’re supposed to go for the likes of Tchouameni or Bellingham. Gravenberch is on the market and he’s only 21!
@@moo613 Mac Allister is quality and very natural fit for Klopp's system. Also Gravenberch is highly to be going anywhere now that Oliver Kahn (former CEO) and Hasan Salihmidzic (former Director of Football) have been sacked from Bayern Munich. The most likely scenario is he get's loaned him out to a club like Borussia Monchenblagbach, Frankfurt, Wolfsburg or even Mainz for a season or two.
Which ever team that can liver up to the pressures of the title challenge anfield a consistent fit team will likely do well amongst the pool of great teams. Just hope they don't kop out at the final hurdle. The reds will challenge for the title next season
love how cara is quieter when he's around roy keane
I'm sorry, but Chelsea are 10 times more likely to get relegated than to finish within 10 points of the title.
Arsenal could get 100 points next season, all their players are young and should improve and they'll add Rice and Caicedo as depth. They would've probably hit 95 points this year alone if Saliba and Tomiyasu didn't get injured
Such a bad take honestly
this is genuinely the worst take ive ever seen, and ive just finished watching rory and thogdens 2022-2023 preseason predictions
In my personal opinion, i believe next season might be the most competitive and opportunistic season the league will see in decades backed by the fact that so many teams will be so competitive from newcastle and man u looking promising if they recruite well to Liverpool and city with their proven dominance followed by the likes of a promising arsenal side and a chelsea team with quality players and now a quality manager of pochettino..... Im certain it will live to its expectations 🎉
meh, poch's not great and he has to deal with levy. conte was better, and even he struggled with daniel levy.
@@delmanpronto9374 how is Daniel Levy involved in this?🤣
Not yet
In 2/3 years time the league will peak
Imo, Newcastle will be found out next season they took everyone by surprise and finished a deserved 4th. But I think they lack the depth of quality in the squad to push for CL spot next season. Arsenal possibly are the only team that can realistically challenge City, Liverpool had a really poor season which I doubt they will repeat so they will be up there, Utd need around 6 quality players for them to challenge. Proof was in the pudding during today's cup final, they're looking to salvage the game and bring workhorse on...not good enough. Chelsea need to reset as they are aimless at the minute spurs without Kane not a chance. Between City an Arsenal for me.
arsenal, chelsea, liverpool and man utd.. i see a good pl season next year
brentford, newcastle & brentford may fall back with squad size and the amount of games from lack of experience
Newcastle to strengthen. They will get better. It will be a case of (come the end of next season) "I thought Champions League would make them drop off".
You watch them shock again.
@@Glenn1892 i hope so but they still cant pull the players other teams i mentioned.. 1 season in the champ league wont make top players wanna come.. i hope they keep up the push tho
I almost not took that shot before I heard Roy Keane say "that's his job"😂😂😂
Unbelievable with the lack of respect there has been for Arsenal all season on Sky Sports. Especially Gary Neville.
I honestly believe Chelsea will be a major treat last season...
Looking at how dey play, and the only problem they have is scoring goals...if Chelsea starts finding the back of the net, then I think they would be averaging 2-3 goals every game
Bro I’m tired of people thinking poch is the next coming of god , you not going from 12th to 3 you not double your point total in a year so stop
@@dashawnballard52 I'm a united fan,but seeing how they play,you just know...
@@igbensimon4647 yeah they way the almost got beat by a pep c team, if you legit saying Chelsea will be better than Brighton you gotta be tweaking, or Aston villa
The transfer window didn’t open yet, and they started doing predictions😂😂😂
I love the way Roy can’t help but love Micah! 😂
Micah doesn't know ball.
Always said this. He's only there to bring the "vibes"
Seriously, i like the guy but he brings no valuable insights or analysis at all, can’t back any of his points or make any strong points that can’t be debunked. Starting to think he might be there to show sky’s commitment to “diversity and inclusion”. Saying this as a minority too.
I didn't even know him before his contract for sky sports💀...same goes for 80%of city fans😭.
Nobody should take Micah's takes seriously. Just laugh and move!
@@_.008 you’re probably 10
I can guarantee Micah only watches football when he’s doing punditry
He works so much, it's probably everyday TBH. Sky, BBC, CBS. Like him or loathe him, he is not short of work.
If Arsenal manages to add one or two solid midfielders and one other attacker, they will definitely be a very dangerous team to play against. Maybe another versatile defender who can cover one of the fullback positions and at the back would be required. Rice, Caicedo, Ugarte, etc should be their targets. If those three are too expensive then Morten Hjulmand would be a good signing.
Roy 'That's his job!' Keane hahaha
