The Etihad Stadium was raring and ready to go as the whistle blew for the start of this huge game against the Gunners.
And Pep Guardiola’s men responded with a clinical, composed and class performance.
Kevin De Bruyne was voted man of the match and it’s unlikely anyone who witnessed his display will have disagreed with that decision.
The marauding midfielder opened the scoring on seven minutes to put City firmly in control early on.
That dominance continued.
Erling Haaland could - and should - have added to that solitary effort before the break but he found Aaron Ramsdale in fine form.
John Stones did score that all-important second we were looking for as he headed home on the stroke of half-time, after VAR overturned an earlier decision to cancel it out for offside.
KDB made it 3-0 on 54 minutes with a sweet finish to send supporters into delirium.
Rob Holding pulled one back for the Gunners on 86 minutes as our visitors hoped for a late comeback.
But that was sniffed out when Haaland scored his 49th goal of the season - and our fourth of the evening - to put the game to bed.

As much as I love Haaland still my favourite city player will forever be KDB, the man is just pure joy to watch and a blessing if he play for your team.
De Bruyne is not only an exceptional passer and goal scorer, he is also suprisingly quick for a man of his posture. Many defenders can't keep up with a dribbling De Bruyne at full speed.
He's indeed quicker than most people think
He times his runs very well and with that said his dribbling skills make him a threat every time he carries the ball forward. Surprisingly for me he looks generic but of course he’s that good and makes it look easy at the same time. What a fantastic player

I was speechless watching that game. As a Chelsea fan for years all I want to say that this season belongs to Man City and they deserve every reward that exist in PL this season.

Kev's football intelligence is the best I've ever seen, how perfect was that touch before the shot for the first goal while he was in full sprint, and the second goal he took the shot before the arsenal player even opened his legs he knew by his body language he was going to take that step and open his legs, it's incredible to watch, what a player

Haaland's hold up play keeps improving every match compared to when he first arrived..he was clumsy on the ball back then but he has gotten so much better with the ball at his feet and laying it off whiles holding off defenders. More to even come next season
He was a top level poacher and runner when he comes in, and now he's a much more complete striker.

What a Goal by KBD absolutely sensational just superb
Pep is a genius. The brilliant tactical tweaks he deployed caught Arteta totally unaware. KDB played like the striker while Halaand played like a hybrid between an attacking midfielder and a false 9, which meant that Arsenal's CDM and CB's were being dragged constantly out of position by Halaand's movement of the ball. Pep is truly a GOAT and king of Mastermind. There's levels to this 👏
For me to the end of time, I will always take pep as my greatest manager of all time, one of the factors of pep is you hardly see any match pep and his team are considered as underdog, that's how good he is with his coaching philosophy.

We know how good KDB and Haaland are but I remember how good Mahrez was at Leicester and now he's improved immensely, as has Grealish, who I never liked when his was at Aston Vile, but then I'm an Albion fan, but this team is utterly brilliant.
