- New DLC Sphere of Influence and update 1.7 are a thing now, and this is my reaction to it all. There are some things I notice here and there, so not a full tutorial on new features but there are some gotchas to watch out for. I had lots of fun with this and plan to have more fun in the days ahead... especially after the mods are all ready for 1.7.X! :-)

It seems really interesting. Hope this DLC will bring back love between Paradox and us, the fans ! lol
It is truly a nifty little DLC, so glad they took their time with it.
it has some flaws like the new recognition system and treaty ports bug thing, but honestly all i cared for the update was perfomance and they did it really well!
@@agentemiojo4796 yes, super well on performance!
I had a game where Napoleon III got exiled to America. I made him the head of the Pettie Bourgeoisie and then next thing I knew he was the head of the Republican Party and elected president. He then started a coup attempt to make the US an Autocracy lol.
Paradox apparently doesn't know how becoming president of the USA works only for citizens... oh my... :-)
@17:00 As US I've puppeted a bunch of little nations into my power block. Their prestige pools with mine but doesn't realy increase the rate of mandate attainment. Now I'm going to try puppeting Mexico and see if their status as a lessor/greator power modifier stacks with mine.
The Georgia mix up is hilarious
There is much to explore with this mechanic. Maybe different techs increase mandate speed?
Have you tried the new map style? If you pause the game and click on 'theme' you can edit the table and map graphics. There should be a Voice of the People paper map as well as the Spheres of Influence one.
Have not gotten there yet, but I look forward to it!
I recently discovered your channel and I’m really digging it, I really liked all your mod videos
Thank you! Another one will be coming soon, once the 1.7 fixes are in.
"Production M..." is "production methods," I think
Then does it sort by whether or not an industry is up to date? Bit of a mystery, that M... and how it sorts...
One small change i noticed is the construction inefficiencies in South American countries. Colombia is much harder to build up due to the infrastructure problems they start with. It's really interesting.
Another element that seems to tip the table towards big nations.
I started up my first game on SOI and Jackson also died and Calhoun took over
We need a Jackson patch!
Have you seen Keynes i know he was added to the game but i have not seen him.
He would show up towards the end, and I'm only in 1846. I'll keep my eyes open for him.
Industrializing is much harder now as Russia since your capitalist are too poor to buy privatized buildings. You need to have a strong financial district to make privatization useful. Otherwise, your manor house will buy the buildings which leads to an increase landowner clout.
That is very interesting. Also more difficult with there being smaller states that don't have big pops and concentrations of resources.
New cam size is much better
Thanks, I think so, too. Comments make the difference!
