When Ulquiorra was first introduced to us as Ichigo was fighting Yammy he said something very interesting. When the hollow interfered Ichigo in his fight Ulquiorra noticed something interesting. Ichigo's spiritual pressure is very unstable, when it's low it's shit but when it's high it's higher than his own. So when exactly is that higher than Ulquiorra's? That's this moment.
Another interesting thing is how Ichigo's hole got healed during the first fight with Ulquiorra. When Orihime tried to heal Ichigo she said she couldn't reject the wound so how did it heal? That's because of what happened here, that is, instant regeneration. Ichigo's hollow was shown to have instant regeneration during the Vizard training.
Another interesting thing is how Hollow Ichigo was able to take control. The last time we saw him he said he'll take over if Ichigo kept lacking. So when Ulquiorra "killed" Ichigo in the first fight, Hollow Ichigo started taking over slowly. He healed the hole, and after that Ichigo was able to hold his mask longer and that was because the hollow was gaining more control. Remember when Chad said being in Hueco Mundo influences Chad's powers as it is closer to hollows. So that also helped Ichigo to get stronger as his hollow had more control. This is further signified from the changed mask design. Ichigo's mask has been changing ever since soul society arc and it signifies how Ichigo gains his strength and it's not because of fights but what's happening to him.
On a poetic sense there are various stuff that's happening here. Ulquiorra's nihilism Vs Orihime's existentialism, Ichigo becoming more like a hollow while Ulquiorra turning more into a human, Ulquiorra realising what a heart is as he's dying which is so good as his entire existence is based on nihilism and when he realised what a heart is which is completely opposite to nihilism he no longer existed.
These are some of the stuff that you notice when you place close attention to the things that is shown.

One of the goated fights in anime. The animation and the Bleach's amazing osts throughout is on point of course. Based off Segunda Etapa I think Ulquiorra should be number 1 espada. Ichigo's transformation was too fire, he gave Ulq a run for his money. Only thing for me is I hate how this fight ended. It's sad how Ulq went out though. At the end he became interested in humans and knowing what a heart is. RIP to one of the coolest villains.

Remember that all hollows possess regeneration (the rate depends on their power level). Since Ichigo is part hollow, it's not far fetched that he has that ability too. Also Ulquiorra's organs did get damaged in the blast. At that point his regeneration was just straining so much, he even noted it's becoming superficial. That's the reason why he turned to dust later on. Thus still stays true to the claim that damaging his organs are fatal.

The reason why the fight didn’t go back to back is because shonen jump was telling kubo the creator of bleach to hurry up and finish the show that’s why he didn’t have time to draw the fight the way HE WANTED, and there’s a scene in the beginning of the movie “Bleach Hell Verse” of the final fight between ichigo and ulq but the way he actually wanted the fight to be like.
The funny thing is, Uryu knew full well that Ichigo wasn't quite there but still went up and stopped him. Uryu has that unsure mixtures of insanity and balls and I love him for it.
He became a hollow due to being called for after death by the person he cares about. Gave him tethers back

Ichigo held Ulquiorra at off for a while in bankai he was clearly outmatched but nowhere near the degree he was before.
He could tank Cero’s and actually managed to injure Ulquiorra to a small degree something he couldn’t do while hollowfied the first time around.
When he put the mask on he gains the advantage until Ulquiorra activates his ressureccion.
Ulquiorra wasn‘t trying to be disrespectful. He wanted Ichigo to feel real despair hoping he would finally give up. This entire time Ulquiorra was trying to figure out what this so called heart is and why humans act the way they do. He didn‘t understand why Ichigo just kept on fighting despite having no chance so he just tried to overpower him more and more.
Ulquiorra is one of the most well written characters I have seen in general and his death while being one of the most beautiful is also one of the saddest as he finally understood the meaning of a heart but had to die at that exact moment.

this fight started literally 56 episodes ago in anime time. We had to wait an entire year for the conclusion of the fight, when it was first coming out I really wanted a lot more from Ulquiorra as a character. I think part of it was the fact the guy who made the series was worn down at this point from the demanding weekly schedule of Shonin anime back in the day.

(Ex. Goku going SuperSaiyan against Frieza, Naruto going Nine tails against Pain, Gon using everything against Pitou, and now Ichigo losing himself to the hollow “White” and becoming a Vasto Lorde beast, equivalent to the 666 beast of Christianity.)
Now for some clarifications: Uryu’s arm in the manga was actually ripped off completely when Ulquiorra grabbed him and prevented him from attacking that last time. As for Ulquiorra, he could not understand the concept of the “Heart” which was introduced By Kaien and his connections with Rukia about people being connected and having bonds. Now Orihime who is filled with nothing but those emotions was able to remind him what it is to be human or rather mortal, it wasn’t out of love/romance nor jealousy, it was out of care and understanding that he finally found salvation and peace from his nihilistic and emotionless self, free from Aizen’s deceitful clutches, it’s truly poetic having A spirit knowing nothing but gaining understanding of “Everything” And with that he’s one of, if not the most complex and beautifully written character in all of

A lot of what you said is correct but also isn’t, Ichigo at no point lost his humanity or a monster it is actually his white zangetsu who takes over as he said “if the king falters in battle then the horse takes his place” or something along those lines, it’s explained further in the manga. So yeah essentially his blade takes ichigo’s place as he knew Ichigo would have died :)

if you see it closely in the key visual of TYBW the side in which his blades are representing the Shinigami and Quincy powers... I think for my perspective it's shown that ichigo must choose which side he is on and in the end he brought balance to both of those powers thus showing us those new Hollow form in "Horns of Salvation" chapter. in his training with the 0 division it was shown how to balance those powers and by that ichigo accepted who he was and what he was suppose to be.

Y’all should watch Bleach: Hell Verse, the fight between Ichigo and Ulquiorra is more like how the creator wanted. The way they directed the fight wasn’t like how Tite Kubo wanted it, the fight WAS supposed to be more back and forth which is what they did in the movie.
