It's a fantastic time for the Quincies and Yhwach too, seeing that Yhwach only got sealed 1000 years ago because he got cheapshotted in the back by a dude that jumped in 2v1 and confirmation that Yhwach never used the almighty (only one pupil when he gets backstabbed)

This has gotta be without a doubt the greatest comeback in anime history. They really dropped back to back episodes of the year🔥. As an anime only this whole arc has been amazing so far. Can’t believe we still have about 45 episodes left.

there is no source on the ep series count, all they confirmed was it was in cours, which is anime seasons. Not even the amount cours confirmed. That 4 part cour "leak" was just a fan made reddit logical guess. At the pace, they are moving in the anime. its barely 38-40 eps (for the whole arc). The extra anime content they have been adding was at the cost of removing manga content. It hasn't been a full manga+ anime-only addition.
Neither were episodes of the year. Chill the fuck out lol.

Aizen fused with his zanpakto when he fused with the hokyoku.That's why when you look at him you can be under his shikai since he doesn't need a zanpakto anymore

So here's the thing for everyone confused. Ichigo indeed is a Quincy. His Quincy powers just like his Soul Reaper powers couldn't be used or awakened until it is kick started by that type of Reishi.
For his Soul Reaper powers Rukia awakened it with her Reishi blade which was only supposed to let him borrow her Reiatsu but instead he consumed all of it which awakened his Soul Reaper powers.
When locked in Quilge's cage he continuously spammed Getsuga's that chipped at the cage bit by bit releasing small amounts of Quilge's own Reishi which mixed with Ichigo's and awakened his un-tapped Quincy powers. Everything in Bleach is revolved around coming in contact with certain Reishi which could either kill you or give you powers(Fullbringers=Hollow Reiatsu, Soul Reapers=Death reincarnation, Quincy=Bloodline).
Ngl that's facts. Fullbringers get their powers from their mother/parent being attacked by a Hollow and it mixing with their blood creating the offspring of a Fullbringer. A human can gain the ability to see spirits if coming into contact with Reiatsu of a Shinigami or Hollow as well but they don't gain powers. Quincy's are their own race, they are born Quincy's. Ichigo's powers all were kick starter by coming into contact with all of these different Reishi/Reiatsu awakening his.

I would like to add, and this is just a theory, but what if the reason Ichigo took way more reishi from rukia than she intended was because he is a Quincy? They can absorb reishi afterall.
So ichigo is a Quincy because of his moms bloodline and a soul reaper because of his dad but also a fullbringer because his mom was attacked by a hollow prior to ichigo being born…?
When Isshin revealed himself to be Soul Reaper in front of Ichigo, he was mature enough to not only realize it was not the time or place for an explanation but trusted Isshin enough that he had his reasons for keeping it secret. Can't afford to give him the same courtesy this time.

Aizen altered his senses to make him think he had more time to stay in Soul Society. Hes fused with his zanpakuto so he can use perfect hypnosis anytime i think
Yeah remember his battle with Ichigo... They both "Became one" with their swords in the end. Aizen is now his sword, he no longer needs to show his Zanpakuto in order to use KS... He can use it at will and you won't even know he's used it... I'm ready for the Hell Arc.

Isshin actually did offer to tell Ichigo everything about his heritage towards the tail end of the Arrancar arc. Ichigo straight up denies him and says something along the lines of "I'll ask when I'm ready."

This chapter of Bleach is a masterpiece, the animation ufffff is one of the best I've seen of all anime in general, the soundtrack is a delight for my ears, how the chapter is structured 10/10, the rhythm of the The plot is so well done that it left me speechless. Bleach anime of the year!

@@washington220599 Ichigo wasn't even in bankai when Askin knocked him out. Ichigo's bankai was so strong that Yhwach took it so seriously that he changed the future to destroy the sword. He didn't even seem bothered by Askin's attack after getting up.
Ichigo is actually way stronger than Askin, Askin even basically says so lol. His ability was just extremely broken and took another broken ability+help to beat it

This was the fight we’ve been waiting for since the beginning. Ichigo finally arrives in the Soul Society. There’s gonna be a lot of revelations regarding his heritage. First with Soul Reaper and Hollow powers, and now Quincy powers have awakened? Ichigo is like a complete tribid here. And Jugram just completely cut Tensa Zangetsu in half like it was nothing.
It kind of rhymed with season 1 when ichigo is about to hit Renji but Biakua cuts his sword in half…though played completely different yet…
There’s a reason why it cut in half ;)
Remember, zanpakutos are essentially the extension of their wielder rather than an actual sword. They can use it like one but it’s more a medium to exact their will and sense of self onto the battlefield through their distinctive powers and characteristics
Zanpakuto are closely tied to a persons sense of self, and achieving their various stages (shikai and bankai) requires multiple periods of isolation and discovering one’s self. And we have seen , in past arcs aswell like soul society, when a person sense of self is challenged or halted, it reflects in their zanpakuto too. Remember when Byakuya broke ichigos zanpakuto with little effort? It’s because he didn’t truly know his power yet, and what he’s capable of. He didn’t discover “himself”. He kept rejecting OMZ and brute forcing his way through it, and only once he finally accepted him, hence a part of himself he managed to achieve bankai
Now fast forward to this event, ichigo was trading blows with Yhwach, one of if not the strongest foes in the bleach verse, and his zanpakuto only got a little chips, but notice that as soon as that bomb shell is dropped about him not knowing anything about himself, not even his own mother, you could see the confusion, despair, shock in his eyes. “What? My mother? What does he mean? I have Quincy abilities? What was my mother truly? What is this *power* I have truly? Is It different to what I believed it was the whole time?” These will be the thoughts swirling in his head, and due to this, his sense of self starts shattering right in front of him, he thought he knew everything, the hollow, the shinigami, but he clearly didn’t know anything at all, and this is further emphasises with jugram slicing his zanpakuto in half, in a sense saying “You’re not ready, this blade isn’t truly YOU, go find yourself”. This will lead nicely into the next events of this arc too ;)
I wrote a lot my bad, but TL;DR: zanpakuto is an extension of a persons sense of self, represented mainly through ichigos journey finding himself. This is shattered once again with the discovery of his Quincy heritage this episode and symbolised with his blade being cut clean in half.
We are only getting started, we still have everything. Pierrot is killing it, another amazing episode. I really love how they are actually showcasing the brutality of war

At no point in history was ichigo stronger than yhwach (top 1) and he only surpassed jugram (top 5) in his last fight against yhwach, the quincys are simply absurd askin beat ichigo without any difficulty

Wellz the hell arc is not a prequel it's a sequel. Kubo put the one shot out for the 20th anniversary. He's been asked if he's gonna continue it and has said I'll do it when I want to and not when people ask me to. So he basically on his togashi shit. You'll get chapters when he feels like it 😂

Yammas death was foreshadowed in a poem about yamma back during the arrancar arc the poem said “don’t live kneeling die standing up” and well he died standing
It was basically as epic, as Newgate's death. Although there wasn't as much focus on Yama's posture here, dude kept standing while literally CUT IN TWO. That's crazy.
Aizen is goated even locked down he used his skills to mess with him and alter his time perception

It's to make up for all the filler arcs and bad pacing in past seasons that was understandable considering the stuff happening behind the scenes with the manga
Story and emotional impact wise this episode was mearly the beginning of peak fiction of the highest degree. We finally get to see the OG 13 Court Guard Squads from a thousand years ago both in that film graded prologue of this episode and in the new visuals for the ED with only 1 remaining, in the Manga they were just silhouettes but here we get to actually see what they look like hinting at something greater in the future i’m just showing the parallels between Soul reapers & Quincys where they were then and how they are now + Byakuya painfully & sorrowfully breaking into tears entrusting the man who he once faced in battle with false authority to protect the soul society: ICHIGOAT!
This episode was another masterpiece just like the last 2, so a shout out to the Storyboarder as his name is Toshiyuki Tsuru.

Even Ichigo at 100% at this time gets absolutely destroyed. I don't understand how even could reasonably think otherwise. Ichigo was already in bankai. Ywach didn't use any of the main Quincy abilities. And he could a pulled yama's bankai out and just murked him with that too.
There is no logical reason to think Ichigo could beat him at this point and time even at 100%. 7 episodes out of 52 (total). Wouldn't make sense to think Ichigo can win.

As a bleach fan that never read the manga learning all this for the first time is unreal! Bleach jumped to the top of my list of anime tied with Naruto. The story and animation is damn near perfect I’m enjoying this so much! Great reaction guys!!!

Btw y'all... There actually is a Bleach sequel taking place 12 years after this. It's being introduced through a One Shot Kubo made 1 year ago. It's called "Howls From The Jaws Of Hell" as you can see... It's taking place in HELL. So we'll actually be seeing the Old Gotei 13 in Hell... Not a prequel.
I can't wait to see the Ichigo's Mom and Dad storyline animated. I hope it's One episode like "The Fire" Chapters was.

It’s going to be 2 eps. More specifically 1 1/2. Next ep is the intro to squad zero, ep 9 is all of kenpachi vs unohana, ep 10-11 everything but the rain, ep 12 is the blade and me, and ep 13 will end with the start of the 2nd invasion.
This is by far my favourite episode and all I ever wanted was just a glimpse of the OG gotei 13 and we got that. Made me scream😭😭🔥🔥🔥🤌🏽🤌🏽 even the OG osts was back the remix. The extra Aizen content added and the fight between Ichigo and Yhwach. Whew😭🔥🔥🔥 Byakuya's scenes be breaking my heart. I'm 27 years old, i was never a manga reader but i watched the animes , and back in the day i thought Bleach was completely done for after the Japanese anime magazines removed them from the front cover gradually over time until they were gone. (lot of talk back in the day about the fate of Bleach)
Long time passes and i found out the manga was still going, watch the manga pages on CZcams, and then i see the trailer for the thousand year blood war.

And no Yhwach isn't his biological father. He's the "father"/King of the Quincies therefore he sees all Quincy as his children. This episode was FIRE 🔥🔥🔥. Great follow up to episode 6. Shunsui can't catch a break with guns. In the Arrancar arc, Kyoraku Shunsui fought Coyote Stark (Espada #1). His weapon, Lilinette, was a Cero gun. Again in this arc, he's fighting a Quincy using Reishi guns
Yamamoto really was picking up thugs, savages, and straight up serial killer for The OG Gotei 13 💀💀 No wonder Yhwach and the quincies didnt stand a chance.

Even iF Ichigo was 100% at this time, Haschwalth would've STILL smoked him no diff. In the manga whichis the main continuity (even tho yes anime expansions in this arc is canon), Ichigo's Zanpakuto was completely fine, no dents or anything. And he still no diffed it, even IF he couldn't break it, he COMPLETELY blitzed Ichigo.
Would we like to talk about that since Ichigo has Blut Vene, his Zanpakuto is even Harder than before. As ofc a Zanpkuto is connected to its user.

Back in the "Turn Back the Pendulum" arc (Vizard backstory), it's stated by Urahara that in order the stabilize he hollowfied captains you need Quincy blood and reiatsu.
The Storytelling, Music, Soundsdesign, Animation and Pacing in this Episode was perfection. No doubt a perfect Epsiode of Bleach and my Top 10 Shonen Anime Episode

What I don’t get is that ichigos sisters are also half soul reaper and half Quincy, they aren’t human at all like Ichigo - why aren’t they using their powers? Is it because it wasn’t awakened unlike Ichigo who’s powers were awakened by Rukia and being locked in that cage by the stern Ritter?
Karin has power, she can see ghosts and could have been like ichigo but her full power wasn’t awakened. Yuzu has weaker power.
Ichigo being a Quincy was foreshadowed all throughout the series but y'all probably weren't paying attention and wellz only read this arc. There's small details in ichigos room, and dialogue from Zangestu/hollow white and Aizen that hints at it.
Yeah Aizen had to remind Yhwach who the real big bad of this story is. Dude is a monster. He can use Kyoka Suigetsu while he’s sealed away, without his sword or activation. He truly merged with his Zanpakuto, just as he said before he was sealed away by Urahara. He’s a whole problem all by itself.
Aizen got no diff by ywatch and save by ishida in the manga, aizen is way weaker can’t beat yhwatch, he was only a distraction that’s all he could do he can’t land any damage, he can only distract yhwatch for just a lil moment , that’s all, in the 1v1 yhwatch no diff him without using almighty on him then was about to control him then ishida showed up, the only thing that can beat yhwatch is plot arrow

Rob missing out that Yhwach still hasn't shown a single ability of his so far. A lot of the things we are seeing so far are a bit like the kido for soul reapers from Yhwach.

1000 years ago was the Big quincy battle, they didn't eradicate them, The Quincy Invaded and got handled. Quincy still existed just not a army, 200 years ago was the plan to wipe out the rest, tho its seems Uryu family wasn't hostile so seemingly got left alone.

As someone who read the manga that flashback with the OG Gotei 13 was 🔥 and very much appreciated.
I feel like if Ichigo did show up without having been trapped, being near 100% as he was during transit to Soul Society, I feel like he would have been able to do more damage to Yhwach for sure, beyond singeing his arm a fair bit from the getsuga. But the end result would have still been what we saw; Ichigo getting smacked around a little bit, truths and shit thrown at him, his sword being broken, and the quincies pulling back.
I mean, Yhwach didn't really want him dead, right? And still, he didn't use any techniques. No Volstandig, no Yama's bankai which he stole, not even (at least I think not) Hirenkyaku. I don't think he even needed to get his sleeve torn tbh. It's more like "he didn't have to protect himself".

And in the beginning of the series with Ichigo vs Kenpachi it was stated that if your power difference is too great, you won’t hurt the opponent, and you’d be the one that gets damaged instead. And keep in mind this is just from passive reiatsu, but even a defense amping technique like Blut which Ichigo blew through
@@jocoolshow But what do we consider "pretty bad" in Bleach? I mean, some dudes here fall to the ground when getting burned like Yhwach, others gets their limbs cut off like no biggie. Kenpachi's basically a Tony Ferguson - if he's not half-empty with the loss of blood, then the fight didn't even start.
Dunno, I assume Ichigo's like 10 times stronger when this arc ends and Yhwach still needs to be a challenge at that point, right? And if so, then the current difference between them HAS to be huge. It's basically how classic shonen stuff works.
What makes this arc hit harder is that as soul reapers they're technically already dead. There's no afterlife for them here and if it is then its automatically in hell

Isn’t there heaven and hell? In the bleach hell arc chapter the captains got sent to hell after they died (jushiro). The soul society is like purgatory in a way.

If you think about it, most kings think of their subjects as their children which the line "my son" comes in place and "born in the dark" meaning Ichigo not knowing his own background
And apparently, Yhwach wasn't around for 1000 years, while Ichigo clearly remembers his 17/18/19 years of life. I think that's enough to prove that quote to be a metaphore.
Yhwach is father of all quincies. Meaning they all came from him like an ancestor. His blood runs through ichigo via his mother being a quincy.
I still fucking love the detail of Chojuro having already been Yama's right hand and helping bring down Yhwach
Quincy's are basically humans with high Spiritual Pressure & awareness so yes Uryu is human.
Guys... don't forget that Yhwach still has Yama's bankai that he can pull out anytime he feels like it 💀
Y’all gotta pay more attention 🤦♂️. What ichigo used is called Blut Vene and it’s a Quincy ability used for defensive purposes. We’ve been seeing the sternritter use it these past few episodes. Come on man.

As a manga reader, I was absolutely thrilled to see the original gotei 13. I never in a million years could of seen that coming. I hope they somehow someway give us some back grown info on the remaining 11 since we know already about Unohana and Yamamoto.

Ichigo at 100% would have still gotten beaten down with no effort. You’ll see exactly how strong these quincy are as time goes on but know that Ichigo would have lost bad regardless
Yhwach wanted to take Ichigo seperately rather than take him while also doing the war stuff. Its not because Ichigo is super strong since there are a bunch of people there who could beat him, its only because Yhwach had his own plans to capture Ichigo seperately
I agree with your comment. Not every sternritter was present or even active in the first invasion. That should help people understand the Ichigo at this point would get beaten by at the very least 10~15 other quincy aside from Juha and Jugrem.
2 things:
1. I think episodes 6 and 7 are pretty much at the level of GoT's Red Wedding
2. Towards the end of the original Bleach series, Ichigo finds out his dad is a soul reaper. After that, his dad offers to tell him everything but Ichigo, more or less, turns him down and tells him to bring it up when he's "ready" for sharing.

They just don’t know how powerful Yhwach really is. Aizen is still my favorite character tho.
If Ichigo came to the Soul Society at 100% and fought with them before they were all wiped out, he could have been a big problem for some of the Sterrnritter, but definitely not all and DEFINITELY not Yhwach.
First ever hint that ichigo was a Quincy was one of the first three episodes of the show when Uruyu touched ichigo's blade and got a surge of power from it, also probably a big reason why ichigo progress so fast
@29:20 remember the FKT Arc. Aizen is fused with his zanpakuto. The hogyoku merged both the sword & Aizen together
