when an espada or arancar release their sword(ressurecsion), their body gets completely healed. So when nnoitra is fighting kenpachi in his released state, he doesn't have the damage and fatigue from fights with Ichigo and nel. So basically kenpachi is fighting nnoitra fair and square.

Kenpachi is my favourite character but I'm sorry the Kenpachi vs Nnoitora fight is pretty deadass boring like they said, it's just swing, pause, slash, pause, dirt flies up, pause, there's no real fluid animation or anything especially compared to the Ichigo vs Grimmjow fight

The funny thing is, the espadas were never a threat. If Kenpachi defeat Nnoitora who is the 5 Espada, then the others, 6 to 10, would do nothing to the Captains. Only the 4 to 1 would be dangerous, but even still, they have Kyoukaru, Ukitake and Yamamoto(His Liutenant too).
RT TV think the captains leveled up but they didn't. The captains have always been strong. Kenpachi was also hella strong in SS arc. Zangetsu(not Ichigo really) tied/beat Kenpachi. Ichigo didn't really beat Byakuya, Byakuya was overwhelmed by white Ichigo and at the end of the fight Byakuya walked away saying Ichigo won. Mayuri was beaten by Uryuu because unlike now Uryuu was really strong back then because of Letzt Stil. Letzt Stil was a sacrifical power, which would have ended Szayelaporro easy.
Ichigo with the Zangetsu assist mode was as powerful as Ichigo vizard(against Grimmjow version). Vizard Ichigo (against Grimmjow version) doesn't even come close to the strength of White Ichigo taking over during the fight with Byakuya.
Captains haven't gotten stronger since the Soul society arc, its just that the Espada are weaker than them.

@@NeonForceGetsuga To be honest with you I think it wasn't quite this. Like somewhat yeah it was this. Aizen took out half the Gotei 13 and most of the Vizard on his own without even breaking a sweat with Gin who was shown to be SUPER strong (able to wound and essentially defeat amped up super Aizen if not for hogyoku restoring his body) on his side and Tosen who was.....I mean he was there and at least enough to hold off a captain or two while Aizen finishes off the rest in those few seconds to minutes easy peasy he would be able to mostly clean house. He probably still could have trapped a good chunk of the captains in Hueco Mundo without the help of the Espada or any arrancar in a similar way with some Aizen fuckery and illusions maybe. It would have been a LOT harder don't get me wrong but I think a lot of it was Aizen playing around and having fun. I also think it was Aizen trying to find people who were as strong as he was or close. Like Ichigo said after he fought him Aizen was lonely and sad and felt isolated which is why I think he cut down Halibel even though she really could have kept fighting....there's literally no reason to do that as far as being a smart villain like Aizen goes. He had likely seen their power to some degree to let them be ranked and so on but probably reserved some judgement still until he saw them on the battlefield at war to see how close to his equals they could truly be. He ranked them all according to pure raw reiatsu which is why useless ass Yammy is 0 and was boring according to Kenpachi and Byakuya who.....really shouldn't have been able to beat number 0 given the escalation of power. He was frustrated they didn't live up to his hopes that they might just maybe possibly be close to equals and someone who could quell his loneliness. Honestly I really wish that Kubo had gone more into it but maybe he didn't because I'm full of shit and the espada actually were just tools
The meaning of "power" was strongly fucked up in this arc. I mean, i can quite understand all fights from 9 to 4 Espadas, but thoese future fights.. They are so ridicoulus. Well, i guess it's all Aizen's plan.

I mean technically they should think they have anyway because when you first see him he says the sword he has is in its released form due to his spiritual pressure being so large it can't be sealed (which isn't true but that's not confirmed until the manga), so I remember watching it thinking it was just like how Ichigo's is permanently released too (also technically not true)

This isn't true but that's what is said and what was thought until the Thousand Year Blood War Arc which is only manga atm

fun fact: Nnoitra's design is likend to a praying mantis. His hollow hole being his left eye resembles those big eyes that mantises have. His fit also took inspiration, that rounded collar resembled a mantis' head while those baggy pants resembles the mantis' lower abdomen. Lastly his release form, Santa Teresa(spanish scientific name for praying mantis); having multiple arms, horns like antennas, and scythes like mantis claws.
