Is it advisable/ possible to drill cup hole for concealed hinges in block board instead of solid wood/particleboard??

Are you sure 2mm? That's less than an 1/8". They always look like in the neighbourhood of 4 to 6mm

When you buy standard concealed hinges in B&Q, screwfix or wickes do 2mm . Max 3. I'm installing WREN's kitchen right now and they do 3mm but they have their own hinges.

made some test pieces with various lengths - found that 4-5mm worked best. I use Quba soft-close hinges (0 degrees, overlay?). Can I screw directly into the wood (melamine/chipboard)? Will it come loose with time? Or do I use plastic anchors?
