To celebrate its 50th Anniversary, current and former Worlds of Fun live entertainment performers look back on the fabulous history of shows, songs and stage at Kansas City's theme park.
I really wish they would bring back the laser light show. That was so much fun! I remember sitting there with my dad and my sister, watching all the cool fireworks.
I remember a magic show that was done in the Tivoli back somewhere around 1989-1991 that was so awesome. When I was in the 8th grade, there was a Chior competition where some of the schools were invited to show off their choirs. I think it was in the Tivoli stage.
The band and choir festival has been run yearly since 1974, only interrupted by COVID. The magic show could be Spooktacular which started I believe in 1992 with Boo! Bash (became Boo! Blast) and ran all the way until 2012 at Tivoli
I was Papa Berenstein when the head guy of Live Entertainment got fed up with Cedar Fair and quit. They dropped us into the hands of Operations and let's just say it didn't go well. I left in July and all the other bear performers left soon after.
