Hi, I have 2,5 year old Sony Bravia KD55XE90005. First it shows vertical lines, then no reaction to remote. After unplugging and plug in back theres black screen, no sound and no standby light. I bought used main board, power board and TCon and replaced it one and another. Not working. But I found out that the 30pin ffp cable from main board to driver, when its unplugged, the backlights goes on, screen is on but still black. When its plugged in, theres is no power/backlights. One time I got flashing colours while testing those replacement parts, but didnt react to power button on the TV. But didnt get it on since then.
Sony bravia kd 55x8005c. Turning on TV in the morning working fine for about 20 to 30 minutes and picture disappeared but sound is normal.. turned off TV for about 2 minutes. Now turned on everything fine for about 10 to 12 minutes and picture disappeared but sound is normal. This happened all the time. I would like to know that what could be causing & what parts needed? hi there, my sony tv KD-43X8500F horizontal lines started appearing on netflix, then display goes off. i am still able to watch digital tv local channels via tv input (select tv input > tv channel on remote control), but no display on home screen or any of the apps (netflix/google play) etc. the sony technician came and changed out the motherboard. same problem persists. the technician concluded this is panel issue. (after resetting the tv, no longer able to see the setup screen. ) however i think that it can't be a panel issue as previously the tv display works for digital channels. only no display on homes screen /netflix hope for your advise.
hi. thank you for posting the amazing video. my LCD Sony kdlv4100 gave up on me just a few days ago. while watch the tv, the video disappeared but the sound was working. the screen was still lit, not completely dark black. I first checked the obvious by switch to a new hdmi cable and switching the hdmi port to no avail. I thought it was a t-con issue so without doing any troubleshooting i went a head and purchased another t-con board. after replacing it I had the same issue..sound but no video. the back light are on. the standby power supply output is at 3.5 volt while the tv is off. and after turning on the tv some pins on the psu reads 15 and 12 volts.. so I tried to measure the voltage on the t-con board and this is where i don't get the expected voltages on both the new t-con and the existing one. the voltages that i get is around 0.53 volt or lower in test points and this other component on the t-con board which i believe is the fuse which is labelled as FP1 i read 0.53 volt..I dont get 12 or 15 volt anywhere on the t-con board.while I was playing around with this and testing the main board and wiggling the connectors and everything possible now i noticed that the sound is gone too.. I don't know if I cant pick the right input because the screen is not displaying anything or somehow during the troubleshooting i made it worse. do you think if it is the main board or the connector that connects the main board to the t-con board? is there a way to test the main board? ps. as i mentioned above the screen on my tv is not completely dark it is led dimly. thank you

Hi, I have Problems with my Sony KDL 40V5800. It doesn't start correctly, instead it kind of skipps the Standby mode. It doesn't show a picture, it just makes the sound of the last programm, before the problems started. The Sound is very loud and it's not possible to regulate it. I called sony service as I dnt want mt TV to be ruined by 3rd party repair. A sony technician came, opened tv, checked for couple of mins and told panel is defective so u might need to change it for $350 (INR.25000) for which he suggested to provide a coupon for flat 25% discount for any new Sony TV. Later My friend suggested a 3rd party repair guy who just replaced a capacitor on board for $75 and TV is back to form. I really wonder how the sony technician tried to loot the perfectly working TV panel. Lost trust on SONY that day. Not sure how many consumers were mislead like this. GUYS PLEASE REPAIR THE ELECTRONICS, JUST DONT REPLACE WITH NEW.
I did remove the connectors on motherboard and reconnected, and switched on the tv, it showed sony in clear for a while and went blank again, what to do next, thanks

Hi our sony tv is showing black screen for 5-10 minutes when turned on, but only if it has been off for a long time, such as over night. If it has heen off for just a couple of hours it's fine. There is sound so only the picture takes long to come on. Seems like it may be temperature related? I checked the screen calibration option, this is off, so should not be the issue. Could this be a condensator problem?
My 46" Sony LCD Bravia sometimes you turn it on without the display but with sound on it, bang the back panel a couple of times and unplug and plug it. What's the problem?

oud master me too! Brand new 65” 800g screen goes in and out. Tap on the screen and it goes away and comes back like there something lose. I noticed if I play a PlayStation game if seems to go out more, way more. Just watching tv it dosent happen that much. But as soon as I play the same it flickers in and out about 5 times a hour. I have to get up and tap the back of the tv by the Ethernet cable. Seems like it’s a loose connection. I would like to fix. I don’t want to go through the hassle of taking this out in the box and taking in to the store.

@@pavan6260 I tried factory reset by holding together power button and up key(as per sony support document) and it worked. But it lasted for 25 minutes only. And again the same black screen.
Find your t-con board or control board as Sony calls it. And find the t-con serial number and look it up along with the model number of the tv on eBay.

Where can I buy T-con board?
Find your t-con board or control board as Sony calls it. And find the t-con serial number and look it up along with the model number of the tv on eBay.
Sad all this money people pay for no quality, Samsung or nothing...
