Followed #1, disconnected the power cable, changed the HDMI cable and used a different outlet for the power cable. It did work on my 2016 Sony Bravia 40" SmartvTV. No more vertical lines. My TV will start off with vertical lines and no image but after about 30 seconds it will go between good image and sometimes vertical lines and 10 seconds later its good image and every now and then will give me the vertical lines on rare occasion, any idea what that is, cause?
