  • In this video I show you guys how to easily replace the shifter hood on Sram Force 22 shifters. This will also apply to Shimano or Campy hoods, installation process is pretty much the same.

    Great video man! I will use your recommendation for sure! I have a problem where the left side of my right shifter's hood is popping out of alignment after I increase the index for more than 2 clicks. It's annoying as hell and I'm considering just getting a new groupset all together.

      It shouldn't pop out... Your hood might not be original if you bought the bike used, or the hood is not properly seated into the groves on the shifter

    There is a right and a left hood, so make sure you are installing the correct one

    Thanks, my sram red 22 split a bit so ripped it off, was thinking to get a bike store to put new hood on
    Seeing this I wish I removed all hoods then tighten to bike and put hood on last so side bits still sit flush, unless you know how to fix that

    It's not "shram" but Sram* and it's not "shifter lever" but shift* lever.
