- We recently returned from a Panama Canal cruise on the REGENT SEVEN SEAS SPLENDOR, the newest cruise ship from "the world's most luxurious cruise line" (Regent Seven Seas Splendor). We stayed in Cabin 832, which is a SUPERIOR SUITE - the Splendor's standard balcony cabin. This is probably the best room tour video I have seen by anyone. You did a great job with overviews and details thanks for the video. Maybe you didn't know or maybe you just missed it, but the TV swings out so that you can see it from your bed!
Thank you so much for your comment, that was really kind of you! And yes, the tv. When we first recorded the room tour, we didn't realize the tv swung out. When we discovered the retractable arm in the evening, we forgot to record it. If only we could go back in time....
I agree with CJ -- this is the best room tour video I have ever seen. Very professional, very thorough, and entertaining too! Regent should pay you (or comp future trips) to do these tour videos for every ship/cabin category.

The Superior suite is the best bang for the buck. We had one sailing in the larger 1br/1.5ba Splendor suite with a butler and the next was in the Superior. We were perfectly happy with the cheaper option.
The superior suite is definitely a great deal - especially if you get an upgrade offer. It’s a beautiful cabin.

Great video, I am now a subscriber. Loved the Splendor. Though it is pricey, it is all inclusive including gratuities. We even flew via their business class which was a deal. We had the same superior class suite and we loved everything about this ship and staff!!! Excellent food and nightly entertainment. Quiet and nice lounges. Amazing staff.
Thank you so much for subscribing! Glad you enjoyed our Splendor video. We do love the truly all-inclusive nature of Regent, as well as the food and crew. But as you said, it is a pricey. Although we have been exploring other cruise lines, we do want to revisit Regent in the future.

Love the bathroom and the cupboard space is awesome. Only negative was the lounge was pokey. I sailed Royal Caribbean twice and the lounge was big, you could lay on it. But the bathroom was like a coffin. Lol

@@callingallports I was reflecting that that bathroom was almost as big as many Inside Cabins! [smile] Of course, Asians are very much accustomed to micro-apartments in places like Hong Kong....And North Americans have a whole tiny-home movement gaining momentum as minimalism and sustainability become ever more important.

Nice, we were on Splendor Dec of 2021. The ship was nice, but the food was a little disappointing, so I am looking forward to your views in future videos.
Thanks for watching. We enjoyed your Splendor videos! Leading up to our trip, they were some of the most informative CZcams content about Splendor; they really helped us prepare. And we agree about the food. While excellent overall, there were inconsistencies and, sadly, a few fails. Our only previous voyage with Regent was on Mariner in 2017 and food and service were definitely better all around. We'll get to the dining in a future video in a couple of weeks. Would love to keep hearing your thoughts.

I've been or several Regent Cruises and booked on the Splendor in May. The food on every cruise was amazing, 5 star. How can anyone complain about the food.
@@michaelalan1270 In my videos from Splendor, I do rate the food as very good. But we had a really bad meal in Prime 7, and a couple of others were just mediocre. Then on Voyager, the food was much better. So it depends. The Splendor cruise was one their first sailings after covid, so that could have been an aberation.
@@michaelalan1270 To build off of @DJTravels, the food, overall, was exceptional. But there were some real misses for us, Sette Mari being one. But disappointing food can be had at any establishment, at sea or on land. I've had some disappointing dishes at Michelin-starred restaurants, too. For us, I think there were some challenges with us being a big group. And I'm not sure if being so crowded at Christmas had anything to do with the issues. But we still think about the food we had on our very first Regent cruise on the Mariner in 2017 - that food was fantastic in every way. I think I want to go back on a smaller Regent ship - just for comparison. What other Regent ships have you been on?

It was a 16-night cruise. We talked a bit about the pricing in the video, but as with all fares, the booking rates fluctuate.
Wow! How much is this suite???
The prices range depending on when you book. And we certainly benefitted from a few upgrades. The Regent website has the prices listed, in case you’re curious and want to see what upcoming cruises cost.

For such a ultra luxury ship, I am surprised at the casual dress allowed in the dining room.
Regent has a dress code, but they allow people to dress as they feel comfortable. No jeans, no shorts after 6, but a lot of other things are fine.
