  • Join us as we take you on a full ship tour of the opulent and luxurious Regent Seven Seas Splendor. This cruise ship is one of a kind, featuring hundreds of crystal chandeliers throughout and a reported $5 million dollar art collection that includes works by Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró. True first class luxury.
    Regent Seven Seas claims to have the "world's most luxurious fleet" (a phrase they've trademarked). And the Seven Seas Splendor has been dubbed "the most expensive luxury cruise ship ever" by The Points Guy. The Splendor debuted in 2021; it is an Explorer-class ship, sister to the Seven Seas Explorer and the Seven Seas Grandeur.

    • @callingallports
      @callingallports  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Per the Regent website:
      "Attire ranges from Casual to Formal Optional. Casual wear consists of resort-style outfits; some examples are jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes. Casual wear is appropriate for daytime both on board or ashore. Casual wear is not appropriate after 6:00 PM. On the night prior to disembarkation, guests may need to pack their luggage early due to morning flights the next day. With this in mind, on the last night of every voyage, we will relax the dress code for dinner to Casual.
      Otherwise, the recommended onboard dress in the evenings is Elegant Casual. Dinner dress for ladies includes a skirt, or slacks with a blouse or sweater, a pant suit or dress; slacks and a collared shirt for gentlemen. Sport jackets are optional. Casual wear is not to be worn at dinner. Ties are not required.
      On sailings of 16 nights or more, Formal and Semi-Formal attire is optional on two of the evenings. On the two Formal Optional evenings, guests are welcome to dress as per the elegant Casual dress code or opt for a more formal choice of clothing including gowns and cocktail dresses for ladies; tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits with tie for gentlemen."

    Many thanks for this detailed tour! Circa minute 17:23, the answer to your wondering is this: to me, it is not a puzzle, but rather a metaphor for life: the best things and the beauty of the future await those who invest in their health and in their fitness. By contrast, the growing majority in the population is overweight/obese and sick with at least one other chronic lifestyle-related disease. They are cutting short their lifespans and spending their life-savings on doctors and drugs and hospitals, sooner or later....From the heated Jacuzzis, to specialties such as acupuncture and reflexology, to the decor, uncrowded spaces, personal services, and equipment of an excellent fitness-centre, this part of every cruise-ship has hidden gems that most guests miss . . . just as they are going to miss the best part of life if they do not invest in nutrition, wellness, and fitness.....

      O contraire. Most people who are "nouveau riche" desperately need be seen and really like to show the money and impress mostly people they don't know who really could care less. The passengers I saw on this video come from the "old rich". They really have the money, are comfortable in their skin, and don't feel the need to display their wealth Such is life. I belong to the latter category and Regent fits my relaxed lifestyle well.

    Not your ship if you're into tons of amenities and entertainment!

      Pampering - yes. Amenities- yes, but it depends on what you consider amenities. And entertainment, definitely a slower pace.
      Thanks for watching!

    The only thing that is not luxurious on Regent is their food, not consistent at all, and either hit or miss. Also most employees esp managers have attitudes. If you have an issue for whatever reason they will tell you it is your fault and will refuse to take care of the issue.

      I am sorry to hear you feel that way about the service. We did not find the crew to have attitudes on our sailing, in fact the crew on Splendor was pretty fantastic. I'll give a special shoutout to Jorge, the maitre d of Compass Rose. He is absolutely wonderful.
      Did you have a bad experience that makes you feel that way?

    Why do they have so many chairs and couches? Everybody that would sale on the ship would be in scooters and walkers the ship was very boring

    Bizarre that you think the casino is such a highlight and of importance.

      You'd be surprised how many people gamble on cruises.

      The casino was pretty crowded every single night. The Splendor is a small ship and it shuts down fairly early. So, the casino was the one late night spot to go after the other entertainment ended.

    That is tacky, luxurious? Not at all. Just tacky and designed for US people, it lacks taste and style

    • @callingallports
      @callingallports  Před rokem

      The design is certainly not for everyone, and there are many features that are not our style. We were shocked, however, to find out the ship was designed by a Swedish firm: cruiseshipinteriors-expo.com/tillberg-design-of-sweden-interiors-on-regent-seven-seas-splendor/

    Thanks for another informative, interesting and entertaining video. Just one point: the amenities are not “free,” they are included in the price.

    • @callingallports
      @callingallports  Před rokem

      Yes, you’re right - a semantic misstep on our part. You certainly pay for the amenities and service in the price.
