- This is the all new Elementary OS 7 “Horus”. The much awaited update to the distro that had made a big splash in the Linux world 10 years ago, is finally here.
Elementary OS 7 is also a very important release because with the last major release that is version 6, Elementary OS took off in a completely new direction with its sandboxed apps concept. With this release, Elementary OS doubles down on that idea and that can be a make or break deal for you. You’ll probably end up loving Elementary OS or You’ll hate it. There’s no in between here.

This new version has been highly anticipated by Elementary OS enthusiasts and it promises exciting new features and enhancements, that make Elementary a better experience than ever before. This release is a major leap from Elementary OS 6 series to 7 series.
I installed Elementary OS 7 as soon as it rolled out and I’ve been using from a week now and there are some amazing things here and a few things that are not so amazing anymore.
Elementary OS 7 comes with a new base, new kernel under the hood, a refreshed set of applications, many polishing touches and the same great computing experience that we fell in love with.
So let’s jump right in and have a look at the all new Elementary OS 7, it’s performance, the user interface, stability, the software choice, and finally see if Elementary OS 7 is for you or not.
We’ll also talk about where Elementary OS is headed and its future because Elementary OS is on a divergent path right now. - Věda a technologie
I like the way you do reviews! Majority of the time is spent with us staring at what you're reviewing, instead of stupid b-roll or some influencers face.
I will be waiting for the minimizing button update in Elementary OS
with panthom tweeks tool you can get that
Why not use pantheon tweaks
But it already exists. Just click on the application icon in the Dock.
using shortcut command + h or windows + h button
Reminds me of Catalina, the only macOS version I fell in love with
Why only Catalina?
@@Matschbacke25because it is a woman's name 😂
does it come with Nvidia graphics pre-installed or some checkbox during installation?
I had to toss the App Center, Pantheon Files and Elementary Terminal and replace them with GNOME Software Center, Nemo Files and GNOME Terminal to make elementary usable. To configure the settings I had to install Pantheon Tweaks to make it like I wanted. As a supercharged ChromeOS, its a nearly perfect immutable desktop. 😊
MULTI DISPLAY problems
is it a Horus problem OR generic Elementry Os problem that sometimes with more than one display that are large differences in size you can open some windows like system settings or Appcenter and they open off in lala land where the displays cant see them
i have to physically unplug one monitor to see the Appcenter or system settings which is kinda useles when its the dispolays i want to modify
this happened before but no idea how i made it go away.
I'm planning to put this on the media computer hooked up to the 70 inch tv. It will be on a 1 TB ssd.
Nice, but I'm content with KDE neon (Ubuntu) & KDE (Arch) Steam OS.
Thank You.
what about your daily driver vanhila os
make a video on long user
Is it possible to put Maximize and Clise buttons on to another and not on the both opposite sides of the window?
Do that with the Pantheon Tweaks Tool. You’ll need it if you want to customise the look of the theme, icons and cursors.
Will 3gb ram work well?
What's the best way to change the animation effect for closing/opening/minimizing/maximizing apps if compiz manager doesn't work?
Please sir make vedio in Linux mint 21.1 vera
My work is Productivity based like Photo editing, continues Browsing, multi tasking, suggest me a good distro which is good for me.
Thank you ❤️
Linux Mint
i have an old laptop Asus TP200S, is it possible for me to run Elementary OS on my old laptop? will it be stable?
It runs fine on my dual-core AMD with 4G of RAM.
@@jcantonelli1 hmm but mone is just intel celeron.. not sure if it can handle such OS.
@@jrkinabalu99 Flash a bootable USB drive and give it a try. :)
👍
Good, but Lubuntu is just a rocket for my daily driver.
Will Elementary OS 7 finally install on my Dell laptop?
I bought it
if only they change the theme and icon, i might use it. it has good direction but looks so dated in my eyes
The only bad and ugly nothing are good about Elementary OS! The beautiful, perfect and good Zorin 16.1 Pro!
looks too much like crapple!
Ha exactly, I'm no fan of crapple too.
same here...too much crapple
I like how it looks tbh
Until the incorporate a minimize button, I'll stick with Zorin.
Just click on the application icon in the Dock
Install Pantheon Tweaks. You can change the defaults to something you like.
Minimize

Practically useless OS, due to lack of apps & customization. limited apps or just paid apps, like take break & countdown applet is paid app in elementary os. good to install checkout admire but not daily driver.
