I heard ‘too late’ is a hell of a lot darker than Verity. Like it has the same vibe but is a lot worse in a good way. So be prepared lol
It's mafia romance so it's definitely very dark. You feel very deep emotions while reading it but Verity messed me up more. Like I still think about Verity but I don't really remember too late anymore and I've read Verity before I've read too late

My fav CoHo book is a tie between It Ends With Us and Reminders of Him! Both are SOOO FREAKING GOOD!!

I think you should read hopeless, but if it gives you any motivation, Losing Hope is SOOO much better than Hopeless but It’s the second part to Hopeless.. so definitely read Hopless. BUT I LOVEEEE LOSING HOPE SO MUCH
My top tier one, in no order because that's impossible, are It Ends With Us, Ugly Love, Maybe Someday & Hopeless. Losing Hope is up there around that, because Holder's pov is just painfully good. This is 1 story I think is spoiled by the opposite perspective, so having his pov in Hopeless would give things away too soon. I will fight for the Maybe series! I love music as much as books, especially books with music, and I appreciate the way right vs. wrong is explored. It's not as simple as you think. And btw I loved Sydney even more in Maybe Now, while Maggie gets her own pov about her life story after the 1st book. I happen to love Too Late, I read it years b4 Verity was published and probably think of it more! I love all of her books, some more than others; I only have Reminders of Him, Regretting You & Layla left.
I love it ends with us , all your perfects and reminders of him; they are like my all time favourites. I know ugly love will make me ugly cry so I’ve been putting it off for so long. And i did really like November 9 but I understand why a lot of people don’t. Btw love you and your videos

You HAVE to read hopeless, it's my favourite book of all time and it's soo underrated. It has some really dark stuff in it though so check tw if you need (if you don't have any triggers I wouldn't recommend it tho because you would see some major spoilers and going blind into it is definitely the best you can do)

Right off the bat, I have to say, Slammed was the first book of hers I ever read and it will ALWAYS be my favorite CoHo.
How can MAYBE SOMEDAY anger anyone?!!! its the most wholesome book ever. It kinda destroys you but immediately puts you back together. 5 STARS

I agree, personally I disliked hopeless UNTIL I read it from Dean’s perspective, then I realized that I like it lol. But I definitely for some reason like Losing Hope more.
The slammed series was the first book of Colleen’s I ever read and I love them, they definitely hold a special place in my heart for me !

I didn't like ugly love or it ends with us. I found them very samey and predictable. However, I loved Verity, hopeless and all your perfects because I love books that have a moment that makes your jaw drop.

I didn’t like It Ends With Us, at first I was enjoying the fast paced writing style but I was so angry and annoyed by the end of that book that it took me a while to pick up another Colleen Hoover book. I’m currently reading Regretting You, I’m more than halfway thru and I’m loving it! I’m looking forward to reading more books by Colleen Hoover.

too late was the only book i’ve ever rated 1 star !! it was very dark and also ‘ended’ 60% through, then having an epilogue, several random povs, a prologue, and then an epilogue to the prologue (which was all very unnecessary in my opinion)

NOTE: I respect and appriacted the effort to portray Lily's experience and think it is educating people on abuse to an extent
1. There should be a warning about abuse (it doesn't matter if it spoils the book plus disrepectful to victims of abuse for not putting TW on
2. It should not be labelled as a 'romance' it was not romantic at all and makes it seem like the abuse was just a lovers quarrel (i feel like she romantized it)
3. It also shows no acknowledgement that some victims don't have the opportunity to leave
4. I don't think it portrays that abuse isn't just black and white
5. The tone of the book didn't sit well with me either

I know this is long but please read:
Too late was dark. If I'm being completely honest, I don't check trigger warnings lile I should. I just go in blind and hope for the best but this is one of those books that I think you really need to look into. The same with Without Merit. That being said, I liked Without Merit way better than Too Late but I think it's because I related to Merit more than Sloan but that's subjective and personal to me. So read at your own risk. Too Late kind of gave Criminal minds vibes because you're on the edge of your seat but I feel like it was just too much and draining. But again, my opinion.
