I thought book 1 was okay and I was intrigued about the rest of the series. But then the writing in books 2 and 3 felt so lazy that it totally ruined the series for me.

You have to read the Throne of Glass series! It starts as YA but it becomes more adult as the books go on (& the characters get older) by book 5, there’s spice! 😊🙌🏼💚

This is a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I really liked the After Series.
The books are so much different from the movies, and they are way, WAY better.
There was so much angst throughout the whole series, and the drama was entertaining - I even found it to be a little realistic. Not realistic in "this happens everyday", but in that it could happen or has happened in some circumstances (except the bet in the first book, that's a little extreme 😂).
And though I loved the romance (especially the slow burn in the first book), and the smut was enjoyable (but not MINDBLOWING), what really was incredible for me was the relationship development. You can see their mistakes and you can see how they are trying to communicate better with one another throughout all of the books, and you can see how Hardin's values start to (gradually) change. And I found their relationship development and Hardin's transformation really interesting and fun to follow. And this over 4 books makes you really attachted to the characters.
I don't know, I feel like this series just shows that love can come in many forms, and sometimes you have to work really hard to make the relationships worth fighting for work.

A Court of Thorns and Roses was alright once you get about 150 pages in, it does a good job of introducing all of the characters but the SECOND BOOK A Court of Mist and Fury???? Amazing, 5 stars definitely worth pushing through the first book to build the world.

I hope and pray you read this!!!! You've Reached Sam is a book that broke my heart, but the story was so strong that I will break my heart over again for it. The feelings, the romance, the quotes.... EVERYTHING was so strong, it felt like it was real! Yes, it is sad, but it pulled me in not just by the heart but my mind and body as well. I will admit, I have not been reading for a long time, but this is one of the books that made my passion for reading. PLEASE reconsider reading it!!! It'll make me so happy to hear what you have to say about the book and the world in itself.
