- Here I show you an easy way to collect a poop sample. I have heard of people suggesting "cling film" and even "plastic lunch boxes" Please DO NOT use either of these, as you can not flush either down the toilet, and any box will no doubt slip, and will also require cleaning. NOTE: I used Brown parcel tape so it is easy for you to see what I am doing, as several have pointed out, please do not flush the tape.

I too was not too sure how to collect a sample of my poop, so I tried (several times) and came up with this. It is so simple, easy and clean, I don't understand why some people want to make it awkward for themselves, poop in a bag, poop on newspaper, wear gloves, shove stuff up their nose block the toilet with yards and yards of toilet roll (Thanks for sharing though) Please do as you see fit, but this way is so easy, please share with your friends (They may not need it now, but will need it in the future, or know someone who does need it now. ) So please, share. 🙂

It seems like you have most of the opening blocked by the toilet paper so where would you drop the wiping tissue?

That’s a really helpful solution. However, I would definitely not flush sticky tape down the toilet! Only dissolvable things should go into the sewage system. It’s easy to pull off the tape before allowing the paper to go down.
remember, never throw plastic in toilet (even tape)

Never flush the tape! It can clog the toilet pipes... Other than that, thank you for this tutorial! It helped me out.
Yeah all you need to do is just tear the toilet paper to release the poo and put tape in a bin.

This is hilarious 😂 My poop kit came with a paper towel that floats on the top of the water for the 💩 to land on so you can scoop it out lol.

I work in a medical lab and absolutely can not stand such samples but thanks for your honesty lol. I always stress that it should only be a bit on the scoop, no more than that and this gentleman gave a good explanation of how to do it if you are to do it on the spot. But a potty is another good option.

Well, I'm hopin that white plastic poop sample collection hats are still available.
Sorry to break it to you. They aren't. I got handed a little tube (no spoon/scooper thing) so I drove home and thought how on earth am I suppose to do this. I drove back to doctors and spoke to the receptionist and she said oh okay ill give you one with a scooper and I had to ask her to explain the process because I was like how much poop has to go in it ect, like I know nothing at all! She also said, poop on newspaper!

@@tonipeters4543 so ended up putting tissue up my nose firstly , then added some tiger balm to it so I wouldn’t smell anything (it worked) i put on rubber gloves , plastic dish on the side took my dump as it was on its way out took a pinch off with tissue 🤏 then put it in the plastic dish , took the samples from it in the pots , dispose of the plastic pot and gloves 🧤, felt like a warrior , proudly had my wife deliver my poop to the doctors!

@@tonipeters4543I thought you're supposed to fill it 1/3rd full? That's what I did. Was very hard with the tiny scoop.
There's no instructions given, and staff got angry when I asked how to do it.
Insane.
What I did is a put a new clean takeaway container inside the toilet. Mine has low water level so the container didn't end up touching the water and floating.
I pooped into it. Mine came out mushy as I'm having stomach issues.
I then spent forever bent down, scooping 💩 into the narrow plastic container.
To get enough I had to scrape lots that was in contact with the takeaway container. Don't know if that's OK or not. I suspect it's now contaminated my sample?
There's no proper instructions on how to do it by staff
@@edwardcullen3251 No instructions with the poop sample, I think that's great 😀 That then means people look on YT and find.........me.😀 No idea where you got the 1/3 full idea from? (Where did you get that idea?) The sample gets put under a microscope, even the "one scoop full" is more than what they need, you should not use a container for fear of (as you said) contamination.

I keep being sent back to do it over again and to fill the capsule in properly this didn’t help me one bit. Smh
I can only suggest instead of complaing about my video, you ask where you take your sample what is wrong / how much they want. They do not take it if the sample is wet.

Clingfilm
Clingfilm may sound a good idea, but it isn't. Not to mention it will block your toilet. Besides everyone already has toilet paper, not everyone has clingfilm.
Or just stuff the bog full of paper, scoop a piece out, flush. Much easier. And works fine.
"Stuffing the bog full of paper" is not only a waste of paper, you stand a very good chance of blocking the toilet. 😵💫
