  • Can great powers have catastrophic blind spots? In this episode we talk with Edward Luttwak, a historian of grand strategy and a strategist who counts many governments among his clients. In his 2013 book The Rise of China vs. the Logic of Strategy, Dr. Luttwak coined the phrase “great state autism” to describe Russia, China, and the United States. For more of his analysis, see “Limitless Empire” in London Review of Books, and “The Clue China is Preparing for War” in Unherd.
    Guest: Dr. Edward Luttwak
Hosts: Dr. David Lloyd Dusenbury, Dr. Eric Hendriks

His anecdotal observations are a pleasure to take in, a Central European with different insights. Historian Norman Davies directs us to not neglect this important part of Europe, in his case especially Poland.

Under the bucegi mountain complex is the largest gold deposit in the world. Their is also an ancient library of knowledge. The USA knows this and is why Romania is in NATO. The USA pays Romania to not develop these things because it could rival America for power if done so. See Peter moon sky books Romanian sunrise. Books penned by pseudo name radu cinimar

I absolutely disagree with the recommendation on education for Central Europe. Central Europe already has sooo bad demographics, it would further destroy female fertility. And since it seems to me that these countries will not be willing to outlaw abortions and heavily tax contraceptives + subsidizing howe-ownership for large families, this will end in a disaster. Hence, this equates to long-term suicides. It is already heading this way and would further exasperate this issue. SouthKorea will be eaten by NorthKorea in 50 years, as their population will totally collapse. They have less than 1 child per woman. NorthKorea basically just has to wait 2-3 generations and they can walk into an empty South Korea.
