The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

One of the greatest folk voices of all time "Baby the Rain Must Fall"
It is almost impossible not to at least follow the rhythm of this song with your feet. His peculiar singing style with that trembling voice and syncopated style was the personal hallmark of this Milwaukee folk singer. Despite his extensive career, most of his songs went somewhat unnoticed by the general public. His biggest hit was "Baby the rain must fall", which can be found on this same channel.
Glenn sang with the Limeliters before going solo. His big hit solo record was "Baby, the Rain Must Fall".
I remember him mostly from his work on Rankin/Bass' The Hobbit. The Greatest Adventure fit that film like a glove.
How many of us actually take the time to just stop and listen to the world around us?
I've always thought Glenn Yarbrough's voice was beautiful. His vibrato is amazing.
Thanks for this video, Glen nYarbrough always had a smooth voice.
Have a nice day!
Baby the rain must fall 🤙🏼

Great voice and if you've never heard Glenn whistle you owe it to yourself to hear him.

Thank you for sharing! 💖
Simply the BEST!
Yarbrough apparently lived hoping to help disadvantaged children...a fine epitaph for anyone..though his last few years were difficult indeed...
My all-time favorite song is "You Can't Ever Go Home Again"
From the movie Ride Beyond Vengeance.
Thank you Glenn.......
Cole Porter has nothing to worry about...
