Lisa is right tho when I saw that card I intuitively interpreted it as a shame should I or shouldn’t I, I immediately thought it may trigger those who have eating disorders it isn’t very conscientious
The Drifting Moon tarot is the one that speaks to me the most. I absolutely love that art style! I took a look at the Kickstart er and this is what the creator has to say about releasing a full deck (copy and pasted his comment that was in reply to someone asking a question). “It will take around a year for me to paint the rest of the deck. Which is why the success of this campaign is so crucial. If you purchase during this campaign, there will be the option to complete the deck during the next campaign at a discounted price. We want to reward the people who back it now. : ) It would definitely be the same manufacturer so the cards will all match perfectly.” I think this will be a deck to keep an eye on over the next couple years!
I think the houseplantsdeck is a missed chance. At least you could have done a very simple but cute oracledeck: monstera plant - growth, cactus - protection, calathea plant - new beginnings, money plant - luck, aloa vera - patience etc.
Just a note - Gustave Dore was into etching and was a printmaker so the black and white is very much original and not a strange cop-out. Thank you for the lovely video as always, I'm usually a silent viewer but wanted to say thank you!
Totally agree on 2D plaid, sock monkeys, cookie devils and unicorn halters... Gustave Doré was a French artist who died so long ago his stuff is public domain. Some of the lithographic / engraving / woodcutting tech he was using in the 1880's to do hundreds of bible scenes limited him to grayscale, so someone just took them and assigned to Tarot cards. It's not hard to recolor artwork like that, but maybe they couldn't have legally called it his if they had, who knows. Thanks for another fun Hot Takes! 🦄

The deck that the house plant tarot makes me think of is the Bottanical Deck by thecrackedamethyst. That one's has really specific plants for each card. It could have been a cool option if you're into indoor plants (I can care for outdoor plants, but somehow indoor plants just don't like me!)
I haven't read the comments yet on this, but I will say, with the Witching Hour Oracle Deck, the reason there are not a lot of cards is the names are for the Full Moons of each month. I'm REALLY excited for this deck, I should be getting this deck coming to my end, either this Thursday or this Saturday. The Enchanted Soul Oracle Deck is another one I will get but am not in a hurry to get it, right away, so I will get that in the future, a Deck buy for 2023!!!
Ooooh I love Stars of Umber Tarot! I love the sci fi vibe and the pips!!! ❤😊 I'm glad it's got a few days left on KS because I may just back it. I think it's great. I do think you'd like Compendium of Constellations -- it's a favourite. The keywords are good, it looks great alongside basically every tarot deck ever, and it's got so many cards! I believe there was a version of it without keywords; however, my copy from a prior printing does have the keywords on it.
I got The Considerate Cat Tarot a few years ago. I love it. The creator fosters rescue cats, the cats in the deck are based on real rescue cats, and as far as I know some of the profits go to the rescue she is affiliated with so it's a win win. 💕🐈🐈⬛
Hi Lisa .. I am sipping my tea while watching this. Always love seeing new decks .. I never care for clothes window shopping but decks and board/video games .. yes! I am away this month and that might extend for awhile. Not in the best head space .. has been fighting depression for awhile now and it’s hard when it takes control. Anyways .. I am all ready to lots of fun 😁 Edit: the sock monkey reminds me of a supposedly possessed doll .. this is a rollercoaster of a month! Thanks to whoever suggested that! It’s fun to see things of all kinds Edit: I hated the Empath oracle art style. It makes me feel bad instead of good. It’s truly busy overstimulating and opposite to calming .. I actually understand where you come about the inner child oracle. I decided not to back it because it felt weird to me. I follow my gut feeling and for that same reason though I told you about unfolding path tarot .. I decided to not back it myself. Sometimes there will come decks that speaks to most people but not me. Ironically, I just canceled on my backing before watching this. I knew it is not for me for awhile but it was hard to decide to not get it. It’s gorgeous and all but I know I have lots of decks within that art style and feeling yet i don’t reach out to.
Ive had The Buddah Tarot on order with Red Feather since last September. I just talked to them now and they are now saying May sometime. Shiffer Red Feather is so easy to work with.
The Shadows of Light oracle really calls me. I'm looking for decks right now that speak intuitively and add a layer to readings. I seem to be on an oracle kick right now, in search of pairings for decks I don't have. I want key words that are broad and the art takes me deep...I'll probably get this!
Oh, about the shadowseeker tarot, when I showed it to my partner, he saw the tiger in the hermit card and said « this looks like these old kind of cheesy blankets » lol
I also ordered Lunalapin from Tevada and it came with an authenticity certificate. It came within a week or so and was a good ordering experience! The guidebook isn’t translated the most accurately but other than that it’s great 😊
@@TrioofWitchesTarot mine came with a small guide book (I would include a picture but I have now misplaced it - big surprise lol) but it was a physical copy in the box with the cards.

I ordered the Linescape Tarot from Tevada. It took a bit longer to arrive and I ended up emailing with Tevada many times. They were very efficient, kind and absolutely brilliant with all my queries. I would not hesitate in recommending Tevada. Rest assured, they are a legitimate company with excellent service.
For drifting moon, they plan to release a full deck after the majors deck is done. I love it but I live in Canada and with shipping at $20+ USD, that was also too much money for me. It's funded so I can wait for the full one since they've met their goal and will do a full one.

With the unicorn deck, It seems most don't like the halter ( even though it was a symbolical and artistic choice ), so it's something that I'm definitely considering correcting in the next edition in a year or maybe a new deck altogether. Any other commentary would be appreciated my work doesn't get better without honest commentary. I'm definitely hearing light-hearted fluffy cartoony unicorns that are super cute is what is wanted in a unicorn deck?

The Avalon one reminds me of lenormand and now I really want it. I love the empathic Oracle images. It is loud but I like that I could look for a card to how I’m feeling and connect to it. The Inner Child Oracle seemed so good but yeah something about the deck makes me hesitate. For me it’s definitely personal but I’m following my intuition. But I’m glad I’m not alone in this feeling.
Also uh oh, I backed the Inner Child Healing Deck because I've been really drawn to doing inner child work this year and am struggling with HOW. Really appreciate the care with which you're sharing about the deck. I hope that whatever you're referring to in the guidebook isn't harmful or something I ethically don't want to support. Sorry I know I was tripping over myself a bit there -- nothing ethical that I can recall - and this is very third/fourth person at this point (so major telephone game) but I read something about compassion towards one's abusers in a book written by one of the authors (something with that 'vibe', not those words specifically) - but it was enough to make me realize I really shouldn't back a product like this sight unseen because there are areas in which I'm especially vulnerable. Love to watch new decks! I liked the topics/artwork of Souls Helper Oracle. Understand the semantics issue- I'd prefer a question ("Are you getting caught up in drama?"). Like you, I want something that is going to take me deeper. Glad it showed a few pages of the guidebook (the numerology & oil suggestion are nice). The Witching Hour Oracle art is stunning. I've decided I'm to poor to risk Indie decks. (I did jumped on "I'm Here" kick starter. Grew up with "invisible feeling" so that deck had me at the title.) Lucky nothing super tempted me. Lisa, Thank you for sharing your hot takes of the up coming decks. When I look at The Empath Oracle 's imagery I feel jitery and stressed. I'm alway on the look out for decks that support empaths. I've just got my copy of Avalon Magic mini cards - if you like the Mists of Avalon Oracle, it is like zoomed in snippets of some of those cards with new images and with relevant healing words on the back. So far I like it as I think it will be a good pocket deck with that Avalon theme without needing to take the full Mists of Avalon out and about.
There's also a cute black and white deck flying under the radar. The Phantomwise Tarot by Erin Morgenstern is coming out on November 15, 2022. This appears to be a re issue of a 2008 deck. Amazon shows no images however images can be seen on Aeclectic Tarot.
Fantastic 🌟 I love that you do these videos, it really keeps me abreast. I felt the same way about that unicorn deck (I broke down & ordered the last unicorn deck after repeatedly watching your walk through) there was so much going on in terms of Color, pattern etc.
I so agree on those sock monkeys - no good feels there for me just weird feels! I get what you mean about the pattern on the trousers as well - the lines shouldn't be straight if they fit to the curves of the body. I think there are much better bright coloured diverse decks out there. The Witching Hour Oracle is gorgeous, but all the same colour. I've pre-ordered the Avalon Magic as it is the same Author as Mists of Avalon which I love (I've only got 1 mini deck so far) and ordered the Earth Alchemy Oracle direct from the Illustrator in the UK. Sorry - now I'm busy adding comments as I go along.....will stop....
YAY hot takes time!! One of my favorite events of the month :D Oh noooo I'm actually really tempted by the Feline Rider Tarot :O Almost in spite of it being a cat deck strangely enough (my thoughts are always: I have a cat of my own, I don't need cat decks). But the art style!!!!! I love the classic look of it! Holy moly that's gorgeous. Watching the campaign video, I don't really have any stand out favorite cards and yet I'm still hooked. It's just the vibe as a whole. And I love that the deck box is one big panorama image wrapped over it. MMMMM SO TEMPTING! I'm going to make myself sleep on it, but I *think* this deck is coming home with me.
I was tempted by the feline rider Tarot myself... but how many cat decks does one need? I have one I am currently waiting on from KS, so, I can't do another!
Coming in super late to the party, but the Witching Hour deck? Totally digital. Digital painting, but still digital. (The artist *might* have painted something physical and scanned it in, but that whole brush effect is standard digital.)
Gustave Dore is one of my favorite artists but this feels like those decks that take pre-existing artwork and try to force tarot associations on them. I wasn't sure if I could work with it after watching a walkthrough of it. I may pick it up later for a collector's thing. I did pre-order The Knights Templar deck. When I initially saw it it made me thig of the Runic Tarot and Heaven and Earth Tarot. My main concern was whether they were going to shy away from the mysticism and symbolism that has come to be associated with the Knights Templar. When I saw a walkthrough of the deck I immediately pre-ordered before it was done. Those were the two decks I was most excited by in the Llewellyn catalogue that came out showing the upcoming decks for the year.
The avi somnia is giving me poesis oracle vibes and I don't even have a good reason as to why 🤷🏻♀️ Did anyone else here back that one when it came through KS last year?
I jumped on the Gwai Lenormand. I am not super keen on Lenormand decks as a whole, but Charlotte Mui’s tarot deck is one of my favorites and I love her artwork. I feel like this deck will work nicely with her tarot deck (which is likely how I will use it most). The Drifting Moon Tarot completely captured my heart. I try to avoid majors only decks unless they are very special and I think this one fits the bill. I am very excited for them to complete it too. Oh and I just said I am not super keep on Lenormand, but I had to back the Aurum too and added Rustic Roots to it too. I had been meaning to buy that one for ages. I guess I am going to have to start using Lenormand more. LOL

The Compendium of Constellations looks very beautiful and might be useful now that I'm starting to tip my toe into astrology. Do you think? The Shadowseeker... I'm in awe of the artists who still use actual paint to do something this beautiful - I guess I just don't know enough about computer art to respect it as much. But again, shipping to Europe and customs... So sad it doesn't have a pdf version, some creators have offered that just to get the art in my hands. Thank you for introducing me to the Tevada shop, it seems a worthy place to keep my eye on. The language of Thailand is Thai, Tagalog is Philippines.

Really like the art on the Empath Oracle cards, but I don't feel a connection between the art and the keywords. Part of me was just looking at them and thought, but what if I just trim off all the boarders and use the art for like pathworking of some sort. Also personally love the Gwai Lenormand and backed it. I've been on the hunt for a Lenormand whose art I click with and that one is definitely up my alley. The star did throw me off the first time I looked at the pictures, but after seeing the bouquet and lily cards it just kind of stuck in my mind that the other one was the star. Love your hot takes videos! It's always fun to get to see all the upcoming decks and to hear your opinion on them. :)
Get the Compendium of Constellations!!! It is so good!!! and you are not wrong about the previous edition not having keywords, so the first edition (and maybe 2nd edition) had keywords, then I believe the 3rd edition didn't, and now she has brought the deck back with keywords and brighter images. I am so excited I already own an edition with the keywords, but I am thinking of getting this one too, because of the brightness, and because I use it so often!
Oh I wish they'd bring out the Vampire Tarot mass market!! The prices that is selling for are just silly. Love this series. Surprised that I don't want anything at all. Lol.

The Witching Hour looks like photos painted using digital mediums. You have me cracking up on the unicorn deck. They are fetlocks around the hooves. (horse girl here) . I don't mind unicorns looking horses..but I get it about being picky. It drives me nuts when the horses proportions are off- that will turn me off a deck fast..lol . Kudoes to the artist for this. I would buy it.

I’ve backed the owl and magpie deck for a friend of mine, I’m planning to have one copy and him one copy so we’re always together type of thing. Your comments on the 2nd deck presented (don’t remember the full name, ended with « messages from your higher self ») really made me think of one rant from Sylvain’s deadly sins about decks making these promises! And I do agree, you don’t get to tell me how my higher self delivers messages! For the Gustave Doré one, I have a big book of Fables de la Fontaine that he illustrated, so the black and white images do not surprise me at all! But my relationship with religion/catholic church makes me not really want it. Hm, maybe a deck with his illustrations of the fables and a link between what fables would go with what card… that could be interesting!

Love these hot take videos! The empath oracle artwork struck me the same way…felt chaotic and too much. I ordered the Avalon mini cards…actually paused this video to place the order! And the tarot of the enchanted soul really is calling me. So much so that I researched it a bit….apparently the “key words” are there so that the deck can be used both as a tarot deck and an oracle deck. I’m still not sure how the specific words sit with me….I like the concept of an oracle deck within a tarot deck but to me, the words should still have a relation to both the artwork and the specific tarot card. In this case, it seems like the oracle word relates only to the art on the card? Maybe? If I can get over that….I’m ordering it because I love the imagery! ~Krislynner
For some reason I can't post a comment on the video but can do replys. I preordered the Enchanted Soul deck from the publisher. The keywords on Amazon aren't the keywords on the cards. I don't know why or who posted those cards on Amazon. I wouldn't have purchased the deck if I had seen the cards on Amazon first. There are several keywords for each card & match the card meanings. On the bottom of the Hermit card: Loneliness, solitude, inspiration, introspection, stillness, contemplation, meditation. I love the set. It comes in a nice large magnetic box, the cards are gilded (gold), the cardstock is nice (not thick but not thin) and the card finish is glossy. I don't mind glossy cardstock but this may be a turnoff for some. The 144 page guidebook is beautiful with a small color photo of each card. I believe this would be great for beginners..
I agree with everything you said about the Happy Little Things Tarot (why food shame!!) but also I kind of wish the cold beer one was left out. I know that not all of the cards are going to resonate with me, but there are so many people out there that don't drink and even those who are recovering from addiction, so it seems like a risky choice. Obviously, I could just leave it out but they're numbered and I'll know I'm missing a number. I don't know why I'm so focused on this when it's a deck I'm not drawn to, but oh well. There are so many colorful and beautiful decks coming out, thanks for sharing your thoughts and hot takes!
The faces in the energy & spirit oracle look like age progression posters of missing persons, I said it on another video and I say it here too because if I can't unsee it yall can't either! 😂
The art style on the Empath oracle was a big no. Reminds me of the Beyond Lemuria oracle which I swear gives me a headache to look at on screen! Way too overstimulating. I think that's why I love the minimalism of the Reclaim oracle which I think is doing a similar thing.

I haven't read the comments yet on this, but I will say, with the Witching Hour Oracle Deck, the reason there are not a lot of cards is the names are for the Full Moons of each month. I'm REALLY excited for this deck, I should be getting this deck coming to my end, either this Thursday or this Saturday.
The Enchanted Soul Oracle Deck is another one I will get but am not in a hurry to get it, right away, so I will get that in the future, a Deck buy for 2023!!!
I ordered this deck. I am such a lunatic and the key words on these were amazing along with the art. I was quick to preorder!!!!

I do think you'd like Compendium of Constellations -- it's a favourite. The keywords are good, it looks great alongside basically every tarot deck ever, and it's got so many cards! I believe there was a version of it without keywords; however, my copy from a prior printing does have the keywords on it.
I love me some keywords on decks like that!!
I got The Considerate Cat Tarot a few years ago. I love it. The creator fosters rescue cats, the cats in the deck are based on real rescue cats, and as far as I know some of the profits go to the rescue she is affiliated with so it's a win win. 💕🐈🐈⬛
Hi Lisa .. I am sipping my tea while watching this. Always love seeing new decks .. I never care for clothes window shopping but decks and board/video games .. yes! I am away this month and that might extend for awhile. Not in the best head space .. has been fighting depression for awhile now and it’s hard when it takes control. Anyways .. I am all ready to lots of fun 😁

I actually understand where you come about the inner child oracle. I decided not to back it because it felt weird to me. I follow my gut feeling and for that same reason though I told you about unfolding path tarot .. I decided to not back it myself. Sometimes there will come decks that speaks to most people but not me. Ironically, I just canceled on my backing before watching this. I knew it is not for me for awhile but it was hard to decide to not get it. It’s gorgeous and all but I know I have lots of decks within that art style and feeling yet i don’t reach out to.
Ive had The Buddah Tarot on order with Red Feather since last September. I just talked to them now and they are now saying May sometime. Shiffer Red Feather is so easy to work with.
The Shadows of Light oracle really calls me. I'm looking for decks right now that speak intuitively and add a layer to readings. I seem to be on an oracle kick right now, in search of pairings for decks I don't have. I want key words that are broad and the art takes me deep...I'll probably get this!

Oh, about the shadowseeker tarot, when I showed it to my partner, he saw the tiger in the hermit card and said « this looks like these old kind of cheesy blankets » lol
I also ordered Lunalapin from Tevada and it came with an authenticity certificate. It came within a week or so and was a good ordering experience! The guidebook isn’t translated the most accurately but other than that it’s great 😊

I ordered the Linescape Tarot from Tevada. It took a bit longer to arrive and I ended up emailing with Tevada many times. They were very efficient, kind and absolutely brilliant with all my queries. For drifting moon, they plan to release a full deck after the majors deck is done. I love it but I live in Canada and with shipping at $20+ USD, that was also too much money for me. It's funded so I can wait for the full one since they've met their goal and will do a full one.

With the unicorn deck, It seems most don't like the halter ( even though it was a symbolical and artistic choice ), so it's something that I'm definitely considering correcting in the next edition in a year or maybe a new deck altogether. Any other commentary would be appreciated my work doesn't get better without honest commentary. I'm definitely hearing light-hearted fluffy cartoony unicorns that are super cute is what is wanted in a unicorn deck?

The Avalon one reminds me of lenormand and now I really want it. I love the empathic Oracle images. It is loud but I like that I could look for a card to how I’m feeling and connect to it.
The Inner Child Oracle seemed so good but yeah something about the deck makes me hesitate. For me it’s definitely personal but I’m following my intuition. But I’m glad I’m not alone in this feeling.
Also uh oh, I backed the Inner Child Healing Deck because I've been really drawn to doing inner child work this year and am struggling with HOW. Really appreciate the care with which you're sharing about the deck. I hope that whatever you're referring to in the guidebook isn't harmful or something I ethically don't want to support. Fingers crossed! I do love how you're exercising self-care and knowing your own boundaries ❤️
Sorry I know I was tripping over myself a bit there -- nothing ethical that I can recall - and this is very third/fourth person at this point (so major telephone game) but I read something about compassion towards one's abusers in a book written by one of the authors (something with that 'vibe', not those words specifically) - but it was enough to make me realize I really shouldn't back a product like this sight unseen because there are areas in which I'm especially vulnerable. Love to watch new decks! I liked the topics/artwork of Souls Helper Oracle. Understand the semantics issue- I'd prefer a question ("Are you getting caught up in drama?"). Like you, I want something that is going to take me deeper. Glad it showed a few pages of the guidebook (the numerology & oil suggestion are nice). The Witching Hour Oracle art is stunning. I've decided I'm to poor to risk Indie decks. (I did jumped on "I'm Here" kick starter. Grew up with "invisible feeling" so that deck had me at the title.) Lucky nothing super tempted me. Lisa, Thank you for sharing your hot takes of the up coming decks. When I look at The Empath Oracle 's imagery I feel jitery and stressed. I'm alway on the look out for decks that support empaths. I've just got my copy of Avalon Magic mini cards - if you like the Mists of Avalon Oracle, it is like zoomed in snippets of some of those cards with new images and with relevant healing words on the back. So far I like it as I think it will be a good pocket deck with that Avalon theme without needing to take the full Mists of Avalon out and about.
I got my Autumn Miss from Tevada and it came with an authentification certificate. They are an authorized reseller.
There's also a cute black and white deck flying under the radar. The Phantomwise Tarot by Erin Morgenstern is coming out on November 15, 2022. This appears to be a re issue of a 2008 deck. Amazon shows no images however images can be seen on Aeclectic Tarot.
I absolutely LOVE the original Life Design Cards, they pair really well with so many decks (fantastically with Hilda)

I felt the same way about that unicorn deck (I broke down & ordered the last unicorn deck after repeatedly watching your walk through) there was so much going on in terms of Color, pattern etc.

I get what you mean about the pattern on the trousers as well - the lines shouldn't be straight if they fit to the curves of the body. I think there are much better bright coloured diverse decks out there.
The Witching Hour Oracle is gorgeous, but all the same colour.
I've pre-ordered the Avalon Magic as it is the same Author as Mists of Avalon which I love (I've only got 1 mini deck so far) and ordered the Earth Alchemy Oracle direct from the Illustrator in the UK.

Oh noooo I'm actually really tempted by the Feline Rider Tarot :O Almost in spite of it being a cat deck strangely enough (my thoughts are always: I have a cat of my own, I don't need cat decks). But the art style!!!!! I love the classic look of it! Holy moly that's gorgeous. Watching the campaign video, I don't really have any stand out favorite cards and yet I'm still hooked. It's just the vibe as a whole. And I love that the deck box is one big panorama image wrapped over it. MMMMM SO TEMPTING! I'm going to make myself sleep on it, but I *think* this deck is coming home with me.
I was tempted by the feline rider Tarot myself... but how many cat decks does one need? I have one I am currently waiting on from KS, so, I can't do another!
Coming in super late to the party, but the Witching Hour deck? Totally digital. Digital painting, but still digital. (The artist *might* have painted something physical and scanned it in, but that whole brush effect is standard digital.)

Gustave Dore is one of my favorite artists but this feels like those decks that take pre-existing artwork and try to force tarot associations on them. I wasn't sure if I could work with it after watching a walkthrough of it. I may pick it up later for a collector's thing. I did pre-order The Knights Templar deck. When I initially saw it it made me thig of the Runic Tarot and Heaven and Earth Tarot. My main concern was whether they were going to shy away from the mysticism and symbolism that has come to be associated with the Knights Templar. When I saw a walkthrough of the deck I immediately pre-ordered before it was done. Those were the two decks I was most excited by in the Llewellyn catalogue that came out showing the upcoming decks for the year.
The avi somnia is giving me poesis oracle vibes and I don't even have a good reason as to why 🤷🏻♀️

I jumped on the Gwai Lenormand. I am not super keen on Lenormand decks as a whole, but Charlotte Mui’s tarot deck is one of my favorites and I love her artwork. I feel like this deck will work nicely with her tarot deck (which is likely how I will use it most).
The Drifting Moon Tarot completely captured my heart. I try to avoid majors only decks unless they are very special and I think this one fits the bill. I am very excited for them to complete it too.
Oh and I just said I am not super keep on Lenormand, but I had to back the Aurum too and added Rustic Roots to it too. I had been meaning to buy that one for ages. I guess I am going to have to start using Lenormand more. LOL

The Compendium of Constellations looks very beautiful and might be useful now that I'm starting to tip my toe into astrology. Do you think? The Shadowseeker... I'm in awe of the artists who still use actual paint to do something this beautiful - I guess I just don't know enough about computer art to respect it as much. But again, shipping to Europe and customs... So sad it doesn't have a pdf version, some creators have offered that just to get the art in my hands. Thank you for introducing me to the Tevada shop, it seems a worthy place to keep my eye on. The language of Thailand is Thai, Tagalog is Philippines.

Really like the art on the Empath Oracle cards, but I don't feel a connection between the art and the keywords. Part of me was just looking at them and thought, but what if I just trim off all the boarders and use the art for like pathworking of some sort. Also personally love the Gwai Lenormand and backed it. I've been on the hunt for a Lenormand whose art I click with and that one is definitely up my alley. The star did throw me off the first time I looked at the pictures, but after seeing the bouquet and lily cards it just kind of stuck in my mind that the other one was the star.

Get the Compendium of Constellations!!! It is so good!!! and you are not wrong about the previous edition not having keywords, so the first edition (and maybe 2nd edition) had keywords, then I believe the 3rd edition didn't, and now she has brought the deck back with keywords and brighter images. I am so excited I already own an edition with the keywords, but I am thinking of getting this one too, because of the brightness, and because I use it so often!

The Witching Hour looks like photos painted using digital mediums. You have me cracking up on the unicorn deck. They are fetlocks around the hooves. (horse girl here) . I don't mind unicorns looking horses..but I get it about being picky. It drives me nuts when the horses proportions are off- that will turn me off a deck fast..lol . Kudoes to the artist for this. I would buy it.

Your comments on the 2nd deck presented (don’t remember the full name, ended with « messages from your higher self ») really made me think of one rant from Sylvain’s deadly sins about decks making these promises! And I do agree, you don’t get to tell me how my higher self delivers messages!
For the Gustave Doré one, I have a big book of Fables de la Fontaine that he illustrated, so the black and white images do not surprise me at all! But my relationship with religion/catholic church makes me not really want it. Hm, maybe a deck with his illustrations of the fables and a link between what fables would go with what card… that could be interesting!

Love these hot take videos! The empath oracle artwork struck me the same way…felt chaotic and too much. I ordered the Avalon mini cards…actually paused this video to place the order! And the tarot of the enchanted soul really is calling me. So much so that I researched it a bit….apparently the “key words” are there so that the deck can be used both as a tarot deck and an oracle deck. I’m still not sure how the specific words sit with me….I like the concept of an oracle deck within a tarot deck but to me, the words should still have a relation to both the artwork and the specific tarot card. In this case, it seems like the oracle word relates only to the art on the card? Maybe? If I can get over that….I’m ordering it because I love the imagery! ~Krislynner
For some reason I can't post a comment on the video but can do replys. I preordered the Enchanted Soul deck from the publisher. The keywords on Amazon aren't the keywords on the cards. I don't know why or who posted those cards on Amazon. I wouldn't have purchased the deck if I had seen the cards on Amazon first. There are several keywords for each card & match the card meanings. On the bottom of the Hermit card: Loneliness, solitude, inspiration, introspection, stillness, contemplation, meditation. I love the set. It comes in a nice large magnetic box, the cards are gilded (gold), the cardstock is nice (not thick but not thin) and the card finish is glossy. I don't mind glossy cardstock but this may be a turnoff for some. The 144 page guidebook is beautiful with a small color photo of each card. I believe this would be great for beginners..

I agree with everything you said about the Happy Little Things Tarot (why food shame!!) but also I kind of wish the cold beer one was left out. I know that not all of the cards are going to resonate with me, but there are so many people out there that don't drink and even those who are recovering from addiction, so it seems like a risky choice. Obviously, I could just leave it out but they're numbered and I'll know I'm missing a number. I don't know why I'm so focused on this when it's a deck I'm not drawn to, but oh well. There are so many colorful and beautiful decks coming out, thanks for sharing your thoughts and hot takes!

The art style on the Empath oracle was a big no. Reminds me of the Beyond Lemuria oracle which I swear gives me a headache to look at on screen! Way too overstimulating. I think that's why I love the minimalism of the Reclaim oracle which I think is doing a similar thing.
