YES A MUSHROOM DECK I ACTUALLY LIKE ❤️❤️❤️ I wasn't that into the other one but this I will go for. If you're confused about why people are so into mushrooms, I would recommend the Fantastic Fungi documentary on Netflix. It will blow your mind. The role of fungi in the ecosystem is like... WHOA... and then there are tons of ways they can solve problems of climate change, help folks with mental health and trauma issues, heal nervous system problems, etc. And symbolically for me it's just really that they're kind of the ultimate Death card energy: since mushrooms are the fruiting bodies of fungi, they're symbolic of new life / rebirth after death is composted. There's a great example in that film of how they used fungal spores on an oil spill and not only did the fungi absorb all the oil and grow mushrooms but then also the spores attracted insects, leading to birds, who brought seeds and thus plants... whole ecosystem! Kind of amazing.

I agree about the pictures. They have to show minors, too. So often, people buy decks based on great pictures of majors, only to find out that they're pips. Flip through on You Tube are really handy, especially wordless ones.

Your dynamic is just so great 👌🏼💜 I really shouldn't buy any new decks, so I'm trying very hard to channel my inner Peggy and ride that no buy wave! I have added the Boo Tarot to my wishlist, and I'll keep an eye on the Earth, Moon, and Shadow Oracle, but that's the extent of it. That *gorgeous* Strength card in the Meraki just speaks to me, so I am kind of tempted by that one also, but uhm, yeah that spider card is A LOT. 😅
I like the idea of the Meraki but some of the cards are modern objects which feels weird in a nature crystal deck. That circle of doors tarot is amazing! Going to have to think about it but I’m very tempted.
This was such a fun video. It was so great to see you two together and hear both of your opinions. I was doing very well not buying decks this year and during this video I backed or bought 5 decks. Maybe I shouldn't have watched this. I had a goal of never backing more than one kickstarter deck at a time, now there are 6 I am funding. I will start over in June with my low buy. I was successful until now, not bad to have one month out of 6 where I didn't meet my goal. There were so many great decks on this video. In fairness to me, some of these will be Christmas presents. I really went down the rabbit hole on Celia Melvilles site and bought tarot, bags, puzzles, cloths and more. Ha ha, can't wait for the Peggy bags.

I LOVE how Peggy brings another perspective to these! I think all photography decks (involving people) are a hard nope for me - I don't know why, but real people in decks makes me uncomfortable. Seriously tempted by that final oracle deck, though!

Just watched this episode. Always a lot of fun seeing you two and very helpfull in deciding what to (not) buy. To me the art on The Tarot Grimorium Arcanum looks as if it was made with Wombo Art. I could be wrong but I tried that app myself a few times and it is really fun to see what comes up with the different artstyles they offer when you type a keyword.
It is really a nice app. It is free. You just have to type in a keyword or small sentence. Than choose an art style, click create and watch it being build by artificial intelligence. You can save it on your computer for later use. Benebel Wen has her I Ching oracle cards designed through this app. You can see them on her blog somewhere. But be careful, before you know you've spend an hour or more trying out different styles.😊🙋
Oof the myths and legends is still running, but the price tag.... $65 is a huge huge commitment for me right now and as intriguing and beautiful as the deck is, I think I would only consider that amount for the boo deck right now. Which thanks to you, I'll probably be selling a kidney for because I feel a *need* for it more I think about it. Eeeeek. Gonna have to sell some collectibles to get that one. Ouch. But it's so damn adorable. I could never be mad about letting something else go for that one. So gorgeous.
Damn you guys for getting me interested in more Kickstarter decks! 😂 Although I'm not going to back the Meraki Tarot (I have similar decks I prefer), I highly recommend Kerri's campaigns - her rewards are generous and she's really good about updating regularly on the project's progress.
I do but prefer sans-crystals given the choice. It's all in the book if so inclined, that's how I saw it 😊🤷♀️ (plus I got the discounted Crystal deck at the same time so really redundant!)

Had to pause to collect a plants delivery and was trying to shuffle that while watching but it didn’t work .. so I hesitantly decided to close the video and return to it an hour later … why mention it? Because I am still grumpy as if someone took my toy! That’s how much I enjoy Hot Takes … 😅. Oh .. did you forget to talk about Ema Poetica tarot? It is a collage deck and I thought you’d have something to say about it :) The Meraki tarot isn’t for me because it’s chaotic and I don’t see a theme but I am open to change my mind after your walkthrough .. However, I already ordered the Boo tarot .. it’s too cute to miss on it :) . By the way .. Practical magic inner witch tarot reminds me of the Raven’s prophesy tarot just because it’s very minimalistic .. I no am not sure if they are similar but from a glance they are. Omg .. I should’ve stopped watching before the end … now I am all convinced to get the earth and bone oracle 😂. I will sleep on that because I am sure there will be extra copies to get later … I hope 😁
It looked more distinct at first - but it was like some other more abstract decks and the more I looked at it the less I saw rather than the other way round.

On the Anime Tarot, I don't think that's sailor moon, I'm pretty sure that's Madoka from Madoka Magica (which you should totally watch), and the way her character arc develops makes her an incredible strength card.
Agree. That's not sailor moon or any of the guardians. I thought it was Sakura from Card Capture Sakura. I couldn't place a lot of the characters. Each card seemed generic.
@@alisondavis3324 Oh yeah I can see the similarity there. Do an image search for Madoka Kaname, this card seems to combine elements of her regular clothes with her magical outfit. Most of these seem to be not directly one character, but based on one with adjustments.
Just starting and Lisa tells Peggy that this isn't about decks she wants and Peggy gets excited. I predict if there is a deck Lisa ends up being interested in, this will come back to bite Lisa when Peggy says "you said this isn't about decks you want so you can't get it."
Folks who are mushroom curious: death cap mushrooms is not just a nickname. Death cap mushrooms are extremely poisonous lol. Never eat mushrooms you're unfamiliar with. Do heavy heavy heavy research to learn mushroom identification. There are also A LOT of like mushroom clones so identification can be extra weird.
So I found three new things in this video (the Boo I have of course already pre-ordered). The African numerology luckily only ships to US, so I could scrap that immediately. The other two decks I liked offer digital versions so that is perfect because I'm more into the art than reading. I'm also more into spiders than ladybugs😁🕷🕸
Did I just mention the fabric for the Boo Tarot in my April Sparks? Yes. I even stuck it on my head (though I don't know why I did that) BUT I DIDN'T KNOW IT GLOWS IN THE DARK. Now I've got my bag spread out charging in the light! AHHHHHHHH
I have the first addition of the Meraki Tarot. The artwork is beautiful. I can see how borderless would be lovely. My issue was the cardstock is really high quality but too thick for me. It's seemed a little to pipish for me but I was/am just a beginner. I would like to see what's in the workbook though so I hope you review that if you get it. The reaction you had to the lady bug in the web was how I reacted when I saw the 10 swords in my Magical Dog deck -😲😓 The Boo Tarot & Mini Mice are cute, but not sure I want to invest that much in a deck now. When's Peggy's next pick a pile reading?? 😄

Just had a chance to watch this. I am really excited to see the amountg of really unique decks coming up on kickstarter and indie go go. The artwork on these decks just continues to amaze me! There are so many talented artists and creator out there! I really wish I had thr $$ to back the Meraki Tarot. The lady bug wasn't a deal breaker for me. I also like the Northern Animal Tarot. I don't know if the creator will have any decks available for sale after their latest kickstarter.
The Tarot Grimorium Arcanum creators definitely used the Wombo A.I. art generator software. it's the same software Benebel Wen used to make her free downloadable I Ching Deck. I've seen several people on social media using this software to create different decks and they have have this same look and feel to them. not sure how I feel about it.

I posted this on your last anti-haul video but it was quite a while after you posted it and I missed you, so it sounds a little out of place here, but I'm still curious if you have any thoughts you feel like sharing. First, do you have the Zillich tarot in your collection? What do you think of it? I came across it when I went looking for an interesting mini deck and love the art work but am hesitating because its described as a Thoth based deck and I'm not a Thoth reader and am not currently heading in that direction so I'm not sure. The reviews I've read and watched seem mixed on this question so I'd curious to know what you think. Also, did you back the Lisa Mackay oracle Original Life Design Cards that just finished on Kickstarter? I love love love the Textured Tarot, it's my all time favourite deck and I'm really excited about this oracle. Would love to hear what you think of it.
The Zillich is GORGEOUS but I never bought it because Major Arcana Key XX (Judgement) is called Justice and it irks me LOL. But it's really pretty! :) And no, I didn't back the Life Design Cards, but I sure was tempted!

Oof the myths and legends is still running, but the price tag.... $65 is a huge huge commitment for me right now and as intriguing and beautiful as the deck is, I think I would only consider that amount for the boo deck right now. Which thanks to you, I'll probably be selling a kidney for because I feel a *need* for it more I think about it. Eeeeek. Gonna have to sell some collectibles to get that one. Ouch. But it's so damn adorable. I could never be mad about letting something else go for that one. So gorgeous.

Although I'm not going to back the Meraki Tarot (I have similar decks I prefer), I highly recommend Kerri's campaigns - her rewards are generous and she's really good about updating regularly on the project's progress.
On the Meraki the crystals on the Majors have been removed. I am glad cause I don't do crystals
I do but prefer sans-crystals given the choice. It's all in the book if so inclined, that's how I saw it 😊🤷♀️ (plus I got the discounted Crystal deck at the same time so really redundant!)

The Meraki tarot isn’t for me because it’s chaotic and I don’t see a theme but I am open to change my mind after your walkthrough .. However, I already ordered the Boo tarot .. it’s too cute to miss on it :) . By the way .. Practical magic inner witch tarot reminds me of the Raven’s prophesy tarot just because it’s very minimalistic .. I no am not sure if they are similar but from a glance they are.

The grimorium arcanum gives me a headache looking at it because it’s so indistinct.
It looked more distinct at first - but it was like some other more abstract decks and the more I looked at it the less I saw rather than the other way round.
@@Lisa_Papez agreed. When I first saw it, I was intrigued and looked closer and then the more my brain tried to make sense of what I was seeing, the less I saw.
On the Anime Tarot, I don't think that's sailor moon, I'm pretty sure that's Madoka from Madoka Magica (which you should totally watch), and the way her character arc develops makes her an incredible strength card.
Agree. That's not sailor moon or any of the guardians. I thought it was Sakura from Card Capture Sakura. I couldn't place a lot of the characters. Each card seemed generic.
@@alisondavis3324 Oh yeah I can see the similarity there. Do an image search for Madoka Kaname, this card seems to combine elements of her regular clothes with her magical outfit. Most of these seem to be not directly one character, but based on one with adjustments.
Just starting and Lisa tells Peggy that this isn't about decks she wants and Peggy gets excited. I predict if there is a deck Lisa ends up being interested in, this will come back to bite Lisa when Peggy says "you said this isn't about decks you want so you can't get it."

Folks who are mushroom curious: death cap mushrooms is not just a nickname. Death cap mushrooms are extremely poisonous lol. Never eat mushrooms you're unfamiliar with. Do heavy heavy heavy research to learn mushroom identification. There are also A LOT of like mushroom clones so identification can be extra weird.

So I found three new things in this video (the Boo I have of course already pre-ordered). The African numerology luckily only ships to US, so I could scrap that immediately. The other two decks I liked offer digital versions so that is perfect because I'm more into the art than reading. I'm also more into spiders than ladybugs😁🕷🕸

I have the first addition of the Meraki Tarot. The artwork is beautiful. I can see how borderless would be lovely. My issue was the cardstock is really high quality but too thick for me. It's seemed a little to pipish for me but I was/am just a beginner. I would like to see what's in the workbook though so I hope you review that if you get it. The reaction you had to the lady bug in the web was how I reacted when I saw the 10 swords in my Magical Dog deck -😲😓 The Boo Tarot & Mini Mice are cute, but not sure I want to invest that much in a deck now. When's Peggy's next pick a pile reading?? 😄

Just had a chance to watch this. I am really excited to see the amountg of really unique decks coming up on kickstarter and indie go go. The artwork on these decks just continues to amaze me! There are so many talented artists and creator out there! I really wish I had thr $$ to back the Meraki Tarot. The lady bug wasn't a deal breaker for me. I also like the Northern Animal Tarot. I don't know if the creator will have any decks available for sale after their latest kickstarter.
The Tarot Grimorium Arcanum creators definitely used the Wombo A.I. art generator software. it's the same software Benebel Wen used to make her free downloadable I Ching Deck. I've seen several people on social media using this software to create different decks and they have have this same look and feel to them. not sure how I feel about it.

I posted this on your last anti-haul video but it was quite a while after you posted it and I missed you, so it sounds a little out of place here, but I'm still curious if you have any thoughts you feel like sharing. First, do you have the Zillich tarot in your collection? What do you think of it? I came across it when I went looking for an interesting mini deck and love the art work but am hesitating because its described as a Thoth based deck and I'm not a Thoth reader and am not currently heading in that direction so I'm not sure. The reviews I've read and watched seem mixed on this question so I'd curious to know what you think.
Also, did you back the Lisa Mackay oracle Original Life Design Cards that just finished on Kickstarter? I love love love the Textured Tarot, it's my all time favourite deck and I'm really excited about this oracle. Would love to hear what you think of it.
The Zillich is GORGEOUS but I never bought it because Major Arcana Key XX (Judgement) is called Justice and it irks me LOL. But it's really pretty! :) And no, I didn't back the Life Design Cards, but I sure was tempted!
