Existential threats are my biggest concern, which grows the more I invest in bitcoin. Our current financial system is not broken - it's functioning exactly as designed and intended. The system is designed to enslave and those pulling the strings are soulless and evil, so they will attack bitcoin from every possible angle, without compulsion.

NVK has an amazing podcast "Bitcoin Review Podcast". They cover a ton of technical topics in Bitcoin, privacy and sovereignty. I highly recommend it for non-technical bitcoiners (most of it is very advanced for the avg pleb like me) NVK and the guests provide perspective on what's ACTUALLY happening within the future develop of Bitcoin and privacy tech.

I wouldn’t say protests accomplish nothing. They bring awareness to the issue, then later somebody somewhere will choose to do the right thing. So, they might not change things immediately, but they put the seed in people’s minds, and will sway some people’s opinions, which can eventually turn into real change.
This is why I agree with saylor framing bitcoin as digital property and leaving the currency part out…

Another aspect is that friction on small business advantages large business which sometimes even lobby government to put in more regulations since large businesses have economies of scale and lower priced financing.

Why would paying politicians twice or three times what engineers earn make any difference? If anything they need to be paid less.

He's spot on; Bitcoin IS becoming the standard. Its influence is solidifying with each passing day. Those who doubt it simply don't grasp technology. You can't halt anything peer-to-peer, esp. not money.

I love nvk but it's really interesting listening to him, he said earlier that he could have sold s*** coins but has decided not to on moral grounds. Then later on he says you need to win with economic incentives and if Ocean just allows the biggest fee then people will use it. I find it very interesting that there's this contradiction.
