Great tips! We too have a septic tank, and we just had plumbers here this morning because a guest, whom was told not to flush wipes, flushed wipes thinking we would not know. Believe me, $1100 later, we know! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
I use the types of sponges to clean dishes that can be cut in half. Half fits my hands and the dishes better, and the package lasts twice as long. Just another tip to add to yours!

Tip for cleaning blinds: I hated using the tong blind cleaner, it just takes so much time do every single slat. We have 14 windows in this house! I use my Shark vacuum attachment and just vac. I turn the blinds all the way one direction, vac, then turn the other direction and vac. Done in about 2 minutes and can move onto the next.

I love to clean & refresh our mattress every few months by mixing baking soda with tea tree oil (which is antibacterial, antiviral & antimicrobial) then sprinkle that mix on the mattress, let it sit for at least 30 mins (but you can leave it for a couple hours if you prefer) then just vacuum it up! It kills any yuck living on the mattress & smells so fresh

I don't know why people don't use their vacuum brush, straight tool and furniture tool attachments more. I use mine for pictures, furniture, lamps/shades, blinds, (inside windows, sliding doors also the straight tool), baseboards (add the pole, so you don't have to bend), A.C grates and vents, and walls at times. Especially when there is a lot of dust. Just vacuum off your brush as you go.

For the dog smell, get a bottle of rubbing alcohol and pour it in a spray bottle. Add water. 2 parts rubbing alcohol to 1 part water. Spray and let dry. Works SO well! We also add a little real peppermint oil to it for a nice scent. It’s safe for pets according to my vet. I spray it on anything fabric.
For their dog bed covers or blankets, I wash with a cup of baking soda.

    Hi Angela!
I think your tips are all good, I use most of them in one way or another. I am one of those, the Vinegar fans ☺.
We mostly have front loader washing machines here in Sweden. A good thing is that they are bigger and a bad one that they can get very dirty. I always use vinegar in every load of laundry, instead of softener. Sometimes I also take a dish washer tablet and put in in the bottom of the machine and a load of clothes on top. The tablet cleans the machine sooooo good that if I do it regulary it´s like having a new machine. We live in an appartmentbuilding and some of our neighbours... I don´t know what they d to the poor machines...
It works just fine with ordinary salt to, when cleaning cuttingboards.
About baking soda on the couch. If you´re out of it or just have a little you can use potato flour. That also helpful on stains that are a little fat on wallpapers. And, potato flour is a good dry shampoo to, just massage it in to the scalp and brush out.
A dust sock makes dusting so much more fun 😁 who doesn´t want to be in the Muppet show. 😉 I use chunky old socks for oiling wood to and when I do shoe polish. Sometimes I dust our blinds with a sock to. I hate those blinds and would prefer to just bin them all tho since I´m not the only one living here...

I enjoyed your video, here are a few hacks I find helpful. Feather duster is all I use on lampshades, I'm 65 and it's worked all these years. Also to clean fan blades use and old pillowcase put it over the fan blade and rub the dust into the pillowcase. Prevents the dust from ending up on the floor. Blinds I use a microfibre cloth glove and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, it works great.

Instead, extend them down as far as they'll go, turn them all the way on one side, clean the whole side and then turn them the other way and repeat. I got sick of vinegar smell so switched to citric acid. It's way better and doesn't smell. It takes off any hard water build up. I just did our dish washer as we've moved and the dish washer was caked with build up so I soaked it and I looks new now.

Best sponges are natural loofahs! They're plants, dry fast, last 2 months, and never smell.

Wow just recently I tried to clean a lampshade with a fiber cloth and it was a mess. I now tried the lint roller (don't know why I didnt think of it) and EVERYTHING came off 🎉

I made bought a very expensive steamer “ it is the best macho I’ve ever bought! Actually still paying for! But I love it and it sanitizes my entire house. It runs on water and you add essential oils to the pad under the steaming rag. My shoulders hurt all of the time, the long hose is great… pet swiffers are also awesome…

Caulk your baseboards. My husband does them for me annually.

Our house is older. Its a double wide and has shifted. But our windows are strange. My parents had this house made and when they did they put the mini blinds inside the windows. Between the 2 glass panels. We can't get to them to clean them.

I microwave my sponges - makes it easier to wipe off the interior of that appliance too!
