Question of the day: What tool are you using when you need a work stand the most? Do you see a benefit with the Rockwell Jawstand over a roller stand?

My brother gave me one of these (with no box) so I'm here to see how to use it. Mission accomplished...thank you.
I think you'll be very happy with this work support. It really comes in handy.
The micro adjust is a key feature if you want to use it to make an outfeed that is level. Thanks for showing how that works, I was looking at the other model that doesn't have it and realized I needed to get this model.
This is my favorite one so far. Glad you like it!
This is a great tool. Very handy for use as a support when using my table saw, mitre saw, etc. Where this really shines is when you have to install cabinets by yourself. I'm told they are also useful for hanging doors as well. If you find a new use for the stand please make a video showing us.
Phillip Lopez this is my go-to work stand. The micro adjustment is amazing. I’ll keep an eye out for the other uses.
I liked your video on this product. I plan to order one tonight from Amazon. I need something like this to help me with some of my projects.
It's my go-to choice for a work support stand.
Great review, and great looking product. Very intuitive design. Good brand name. Will be buying this also. Thanks for this review.
I just used this a few days ago. It's still my go-to for work support.
Nice review. I ended up buying 2. Thank you
I think you'll be happy with these. I consider them to be the sleeping giant in the work support category. Such an amazing design!
Nice looking tool. Three legs are better than four because thre legs form a straight (even) plane. Not level just straight. If you get in a situation where you need the roller just clamp your cobalt roller in this stand. Great video! I see that Home Depot has this stand for less than $70; great price can’t hardly go wrong.
I've been comparing them for awhile and I find this one to be the best.
Happy to hear you are looking out for tortices! I hope the build went well, I'll try to find the vid
Hi Angela, unfortunately my son ended up giving the tortoise to a friend and I never built the habitat.
@@MarkThomasBuilder that’s a shame! I hope it has a happy life regardless
@@angelajane3913 Yes, it went to a good home.
Love it!
This is my go-to work stand. I plan to make a video comparison someday.
What’s the heaviest board you would use on this?
At 6:32 he reads the spec, Maximum Load: 220 pounds.
Thanks for another great review. Do you think you will get more use from this or the jawhorse?
I will probably use the Jawhorse the most.
I have had both for several years, the jawstand rarely gets used, the jawhorse gets used for nearly every single project, I can't overstate how awesome the jaw horse is.
Mark great video do you think this is a viable option to replace a medium duty vise from a workbench?
If you got this and a Rockwell Jawhorse, then yes it will replace a medium duty vise if used for woodworking. I use my Wilton bench vise for some occasional metal work, but use my Jawhorse for 90% all my other projects.
So, 3 years later, do you still use it as much as you hoped? What tweaks would you make in a re-design?
Thank you for your review!
Hi Jamie, this has worked very well for me and I still use it all the time. I'm used to what it can do and haven't needed to make any tweaks.
If I had to look for any way to improve it, I may want it to go a little taller. The micro adjust works great.
Who did the intro music and where can I find the sample to listen?
The Soundcloud link in the video description will take you to the music. I believe the song is Hit The Gas.
Mark you look very familiar to me. Have you ever lived in Iowa ?
Nope, I've only spent 2 days in Iowa so far.
I was thinking maybe I saw him in Dubuque. Strange.
Just some advice...if you're going to do an over ten minute video ...aka review...actually spend some time using it/testing it, then you can properly educate others on if its worth buying. I literally had to watch you unpack it and read it, which can be done on their website. Just my take on it.
Okay, thanks for the advice.
In an ADHD Amerika, a 35-second intro is akin to water torture. Please cut by 2/3rds.
I appreciate the feedback. I've thought about making a new intro for awhile now. Time to make it a priority!
Nice video! I love my jawhorse, if you have the time checkout the JAWHORSE video I just made !
Thanks, will do. I a big fan of the Jawhorse, especially the micro adjustments.
Poor review. We can read the box as well. No actual usage shown.
Sorry this wasn't helpful to you. This is my favorite work support and I've owned 3 different ones over the years.
Not much help because you did not demonstrate.
I thought I did show it being used. Sorry about that. I'm thinking about making a comparison video between 3 models very soon.
He showed it clamping a 2x4, being used as a runoff stand and as a support. What else does it do?
Definitely not worth the money triton have one just as good for less than £40
I haven't seen theirs yet. I'm very impressed with this one, compared to the 2 other types I've tried. Thanks for the info.
The Triton doesn't have micro adjustment, maximum height is 37" vs 43" and the clamp doesn't work as well. So not really _"just as good"_ but if you don't need the extra features it would do.
The Rockwell also has 5 year warranty vs the Triton 3 year.
... also the triton tends to 'splay' out leading me to not using them! This looks far more secure!! Perhaps why triton are now less than £30 🤔😂
