- Episode 4 - 1974 Early Tours : Queen In Finland. As Queen's fan base started to grow outside the UK, so did the number of foreign cities featuring on the tour schedule. Each presented an exciting new experience for the band, and opportunity to connect with new fans from different countries, which is exactly what happened in November 1974 for one such 12 year old fan who had an extraordinary encounter with Freddie, Roger, Brian and John.

Kid wants their autograph, manager says to come to a press conference to get it. Kid doesn’t know how he came to the conclusion that he has to interview them in order to get autographs. That is the most innocent thing to describe the thinking of a child. With questions such as “do you like candy?”, really So sweet carefree and innocent.
I think Queen got it right off the bat! If that could have been another band, they would have given the kid the cold shoulder or just hammed him up. But they were polite enough to give the kid an experience he will never forget!

Queen changed my life. I listened bohemian rhapsody for the second time and was mesmerized. Wow, it was almost one year ago and my love for them only grows more and more 💖
This is exactly how I went, except that I first didn't like Bohemian Rhapsody (but before, I loved Under Pressure lol), but then I wanted to listen to it again (whyever) and I LOVED it! Then I got Greatest Hits l-ll from my dad and I couldn't stop listening. 2 weeks later I cried because my headphones were gone and I couldn't listen to them. At freakin' 13 years.
I'm a Queen fan for about 14 now and my life has changed

This is so satisfying to listen to as we can all imagine this boy being ourselves with this magical memory and the band was so polite to him! Ahh, if only I’d done the same in those early years.

I was so lucky when Jukka shared with me a few memories from a.that amazing day. The interview and his memories are now subbed in Italian for fans.
There's a video out there someplace of Dr. Brian May answering the questions of a room full of University Students, and I recall that for every question he would stand up, and give the student a very respectful answer to the question. In this interview you can hear that same respect in Brian's voice as he answers this young child's questions. If only the world has a couple billion more Brian Mays.

i was at the 2016 concert in helsinki, when queen returned to perform here after 40 or so years. the first and only concert ive been to, but its one of my favourite memories. i was in the front row, i can see myself in the selfie video. :)
