My Ecotec 24 from 2013 doesn't turn on at all. Fuse on the wall is ok, I checked it with multimeter. After putting it back and turning the boiler on it worked for few seconds and then the screen went black again and no noise, nothing. Did this few times and still same. Don't know what the problem can be.
Faulty display and / or pcb possibly. JK
I have a Ecotec plus vcw 296 from 2014 and suddenly I have a F70 code. Does that mean my pcb is broken? How else does it not have the Device Specific Number (DSN) anymore? Thank you for helping everybody out here 👍
Hi, if it has suddenly done it, then yes, likely the board has an issue and is not able to read the dsn settings correctly, you can get an engineer to try unplugging and replugging the cables, just to make sure. JK

I have had a new pcb. I have followed all your instructions. Problem is not solved . I have hot water but heating will not work .

10 as per PCB replacement manual for VHR NL 24-28/3 C. Please note, this PCB replacement should normally be carried out by a professional. JK

Hi, most likely this is caused by the boiler having overheated. This will require an engineer visit. Perhaps ring Vaillant and get one of their engineers on fixed price repair. JK

Replaced PCB and display as the fuse kept blowing. Did this and same thing as soon as it goes to ignite it pops. Any ideas?
Hi, hard to diagnose remotely without seeing the boiler, however usually it’s more than likely that the symptoms point towards the pump or fan. You need to test them electrically to confirm. JK

Hi, I am not able to read/speak german. However based on translation and prior knowledge I found the following manual for your boiler www.vaillant.be/telechargements/documents/notice-installation/chaudi-res-murales-gaz-1/notice-dinstallation-ecotec-exclusiv-146-206-276-319075.pdf , Page 38 contains the DSN offset (showing as DSN 6 for your boiler). If this is not the correct manual, you need to find the correct manual and locate the information this way otherwise you will need to get into contact with Vaillant technical. Following information is for competent persons and should be used with caution:
Press top 2 buttons at same time ie i menu.
Click the button shown under the spanner ie top right.
Set code to 17.
Navigate D code menu using plus minus buttons to D.093
Change to correct DSN number
Press Tick to confirm.

@@MyBoiler mine is a ecotec plus 831, i have just brought a pcb board and i am going to fit it tomorrow. Faults 61 and 62 but mostly 62. When starts up the temperature flickers from 61 to 75 on the last start up?

Hi, was going to say if you don't possess basic electrical skill levels then don't attempt it without caution otherwise you may break something essential. As your a professional, just remember to not force any of the components to come out or they may break, gentle prying and finding all the locking points. Make sure if you have older type vaillant, remove the display pcb. You may need to dislodge the the control knobs carefully too. Components within a boiler sometimes tend to get brittle, as they may also do in refrigeration equipment. Replacing the board is generally done in about 5 mins. The programmer takes a few minutes too. The article also contains the programming codes and method. All this information is provided in good faith, and we cannot accept responsibility as a consequence. JK
@@MyBoiler thanks for that, do i need to adjust all the settings. I thought because it was a board for the same model its just a straight swap. Only thing i have seen online is the f70 fault that you need to change? Which looks simple. When you heater knobs, do i have them on set to full heat when i detach and attach the new one.
