    I love the joy you have in giving this review and the honesty on how much you like them. I can't stop recommending these to people either. Wore them to work and kept rambling on how great they were, realizing later on that they didn't care one bit... hahaha. I guess that's how we tend to be at times. Great review.

    It took a few hours getting used to my m-80s, coming from Grados. At first it was odd not having that open sound stage, but after some quality time and diff. music... WOW! These headphones are SWEET! Compact Fun Clear Powerful Sound! Thanks for the review!

    I have the Vibratos and they are the most durable earbuds I've ever seen. Vmoda has the market for durability in audio products. They sound great for hip hop and rap as well. In my opinion, Vmoda is the up and coming standard for commercialized fun listening headphones.

    Just to give people another opinion on these headphones they are amazing. Great sound, amazing noise isolation, and built to last. There is a little issue of comfort but after the first few days of wearing them for hours they basically shape to your head and soon you will feel very comfortable wearing them with no issue of ear pain. I love my m-80s and the best part about them is putting your own custom shield. These are just amazing headphones.

    Vmoda had sort of a secret sale of the m100's pre-production units on his website about a month and a half back.
    They were known as the VTF-100's or pre production m100's.
    All i can say is that the weakness'es of the m80s were fixed with the m100's and then some.
    The bass is tighter and more textured than the m80s. The highs are sorted out, where the m80s had a 8k dip, the highs sound great.
    The mids sound better because the bass is not walking over the mids on the m100's as well.

    V-moda, Good Job! I am always amazed by my M80's, I compared it with my Westone UM3XRC, M80 got the clarity (but of course can reach the "Highs" quality of UM3X but very close), very sweet and neutral mids, punchy and realistic Bass and SubBass (compared with my Focal XS Book 2.0 speaker). I listen to 24bit 192kHz music a lot, I gotta say I am so satisfied with the price and performance.

    The white ones look good. Ive seen em in a store. Realistically if style is your thing, you really can't go wrong with v-moda's stuff. And you'll be getting a LOT better sound than pretty pretty much eery other style phone on the market.

  • @RPGWiZaRD
    @RPGWiZaRD Před 12 lety

    @Scorix Well I think it depends what you're looking for. The Crossfade LP2 got even stronger bass response, more neutral mids/highs while M-80 has a bit more forward midrange and less bass. I like a strong bass response and neither do I like on-ear so Crossfade LP2 looks like a better option to me but it certainly doesn't have to be the case for every1, maybe not Tyll either for example.

    I'm coming from a pair of Sennheiser PX-100's known for their great sound for the price (only real headphones I've owned other than the Portapros for a few months) but have wanted a great sounding headphone that also looked good for AGES. I doubt I would be disapointed :)

  • @TheKMStudios
    @TheKMStudios Před 12 lety

    I'd personally buy the V-moda M80s. Both sound great, however the SQ on the M80 provides a slightly better listening experience while also being more portable. However, you could get the ATH-M50 as low as 100, while the M80s seem to be staying at 180, while it may change after the M100s come out in July.

    for all you people wondering about the difference between the crossfade lp's and the m-80's from what ive read the m-80 are geared more towards the audiophile community and have a much better sound than the lp's but you might still want to do some research on which you buy depending on your budget

  • @ferarry13
    @ferarry13 Před 12 lety

    I already got the LP2 ... about a week before i found out about the m100
    but I really don't mind it!
    I heard that the LP2 is more balanced than the original LP and then again, it's got 2 years warranty and immortal life, so those will last me alot of time.
    i had the stanton dj pro 3000 before my vmoda's and they started breaking in a week :P still liked them but had to super glue them...
    i sadly can't afford m100 for $300... but i'l be waiting for the Revolvers! :D

  • @DeadbeatRose
    @DeadbeatRose Před 12 lety

    @ser363k Well those are in two completely different price ranges. The xb500s sound very distant while the lp2 is a bit more forward. If youre going to spend 200 on a bass heavy cans, look at the higher up sonys.

  • @iKaGe01
    @iKaGe01 Před 12 lety

    No doubt the bigger drivers help :)
    I'm very hard pushed. I'm very new to V-Moda, i.e only hearing about them a week or so ago, but I'm hooked... I really want to buy a pair.
    Only issue is, I was very tempted to just hit the buy button on the m80's (Amazon UK), but after hearing about the m100's, I'm now tempted to wait for reviews and may pre-order (though shipping is expensive from its retailer...) or wait to see what the prices are like once it arrives in the UK (?).
    Worth waiting?

    @RamenBowlKing Definitely appeal to non-audiophile friends, especially the LP2, in my opinion, regardless the superior sound quality, only the fashionable looks will strike down the Beats too (I'm not a Beats hater, just personal and honest advice).

  • @dmanandcmac
    @dmanandcmac Před 12 lety

    @jonguyen89 I think if you enjoy the ATH M50s then the V-moda would be a smart choice yes. Just be sure that you let them burn in for a while, cause right out of the box some of the higher frequencies sound a little recessed, but after a few days of burn in they loosen up very nicely. The B&W P5's are very nice for jazz music as well, they're very warm headphones, but for RnB not so much. they're def not high-fidelity by any stretch. Overall the V-moda's have a better sound signature.

    I chose to buy this pair of headphones over ATH-M50s and DT770s and HD25s because I wanted a pair of good looking headphones that also sounded great and had great bass response.
    The EQ balance seems like it's extremely bass -biased. It almost seems like the EQ tuned into the headphone is more bass biased than the driver itself can handle, almost coming across as muddy sometimes? I would almost say almost overpowering? What do you think, InnerFidelity?
