Iowa was great, Caitlin Clark is my favorite player, however there's the fact that we just weren't prepared to do intense battle yesterday. It's unfortunate because a title was on the line, but Iowa literally played it's heart out on Friday night to beat SC.. as for the hand gestures and trash talk from Clark and from Reese, it's part of the game, it really is part of the game...if you don't like it, do something about it.
Well, LSU is not a very good 3-pt shooting team, yet they had an extraordinary 3-pt shooting performance at the best time. To beat a team that shoots from the perimeter that well you have to match them, or else you're trading 2's for 3's. Iowa was capable of doing that, but the difference was LSU was doing a better job guarding the 3. Iowa did not. They played the percentages. And that put Iowa too far behind to catch up. If LSU was playing South Carolina for the championship and performed that way, LSU would have beaten them.

If Angel did it, knowing the narrative around her, it would've been all about "she needs to keep her composure, what a selfish move" blah blah. Everyone loves Caitlin Clark (rightfully so) and some people are going the extra mile to deflect and protect her.
She threw that ball out of bounds out of anger. You could see it in her face and she knew she did wrong in the huddle. I don't see how anyone can defend it. She didn't even have to touch the ball. Sad that it's 2023 and a basketball game will make some people show their true colors. If Iowa would've won I would've been happy for them too. Not crying about them being white is the reason they won.

@Mac Dre exactly. Yet a lot of media were quick to blame the refs for giving her a tech like she didn't earn it. She knew she had 3 fouls and a tech counts as a personal foul. She didn't even have the ball at first. But she still let her frustration boil over. But the narrative is different.

It literally had nothing to do with race at all… It had to do with the fact that LSU was already up by so much, and then Reese FOLLOWED Clark and taunted her for 20 seconds. Clark did it while backpedaling back on defense and that was it. Reese was rubbing salt in a wound after they already won the game 5 minutes before it ended. It was timing and context… NOT race.
The only problem I have with the taunting is Clark was taunting in the Louisville game, why did Reese taunt Clark in the final? It was never directed at Reese but Reese felt it was her place to pay back Clark? That's what makes it wrong. Imho.
This is good for women's basketball and now the 2 can take it to the next level.

Ali might be the greatest athlete we have seen. Ali trash talked before the fight. He trash talked during the fight. But did Ali trash talk opponents while they were out on their stool? Or did Ali show compassion and heart to his beaten opponents?
There's a reason why Ali is the greatest. Let's be real. If one is going to trash talk after the game they need to be the reason the team won. LSU would have won without Reece. I have been an athlete all my life. I still coach wrestling. And I find her behavior very poor.
