- The Memphis Grizzlies suspended Ja Morant from all team activities yesterday after a video surfaced of Morant flashing a gun on a friend’s Instagram Live account. This comes two months after Morant served an 8-game suspension for flashing a gun on his own Instagram Live account. An NBA spokesperson said “We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information.” Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react.

Sure there have been gun issues in the NBA before, but it was only made public through stories we got through the media. Not from them recording and posting it themselves. But to already get suspended, have to talk to the comminsioner, tell everyone you are aware you need to change only do resort back to this not even months later is wild. There is something much deeper going on than needing fake attention and validation from random strangers online.
We can blame his friends, we can blame the music, we can blame the father, but in my opinion its ALL on Ja. We all have a friend who we know we have to keep boundaries with. We all listen to music or watch shows/movies or play games with violence in them, not all of us have dads. The only common thing in all of these examples is Ja. Its all on him.
