Making a Turned Lidded Box From A Branch - Firewood Challenge

- This is my process on how I create small lidded box from a tree branch. If you have a lathe it’s easy to make and a bit of fun. For this box I decided to create four different textures for the outside decoration using a few of my texturing tools. If you have any questions just let me know.

Good job! Woodturning sanding is the only fun kind of sanding. Fast and rewarding. (Five minute videos are the best!)
Thanks Larry, yes keep it short and sweet I say :)
I need to try texturing ... you definitively convinced me ;)
Thanks for sharing !
You should :) Have fun!
Mesmerizing to watch, great work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks really great! Nicely done.
Sweet thanks mate!
Great job / nice box. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you too!
Nice little project, like how you kept it simple - Also, got to say: Your precision with the rotary is outstanding, I would have been over those incised lines a dozen times
Cheers mate! Yes a simple form on this one so the texture speaks loudest. I've a had just a little practise with the texturing :)
Nice project, but I'm worried about cutting branches on the bandsaw without a V-shaped holder. The piece can catch and ruin your blade.
Yes it can, I have never had an issue though
Another simple but stunningly beautiful project. You are able to envision such such nice combinations of textures. Which texturing tool makes the like circles?
Thanks very much! Its the tip of a ball nose spiky bit :)
Great ideas and video! Can you share the carving bits used and source(s)? Awesome, love your vids!! :-D

Nice work! But i cant stand the noise of the carvingtool.
Yup, sounds like a fly in fast forward :)
