You are SO right about the die grinder! I got a Makita and it works so well even with the inexpensive carbide bits. It is a good fit and easy to control, even for a smaller hand like mine. I was trying to figure out how you were turning this while doing the textures on your lathe until you revealed it was a woodcut pro mount carving stand. Darn...another purchase... It looks like a perfect position to work in!
