I bought the juniper cardigan pattern about 2 years ago....I’ve not made it yet.....I am fussy about knit/jersey fabrics but need to pull my finger out. I’m with you on sweater knits. Lovely to see you.

I really like your granny square cardi 💖💖

  • @yougotmeinstitches1847

Haya. I really like cardigans, they are versatile in the sense you can wear them open & then button them up if it gets cooler :) I have turned the Linden sweater into a few cardigans now. I like all the 1's you have made :) Thanku for sharing.

I love a good cardigan as well and was never drawn to the blackwood because I like to have the option to button it up. Think fitted cardigans look great with most things.

Great video, I made my first cardigan yesterday. The Chapman from Ellie and Mac in ponti and was looking at sweater knit on Minerva yesterday. There is so much choice it's bewildering!!so thanks for the recommendation 🙌 Will look out for your Marlo video 😃

Great video. Just bought fabric for the Marlo. Thank you for the recommendation for Jersey fabric from Minerva. So difficult to tell from the website 💕

Lovely cardigans Laura, I’ve been looking at cardigan patterns for a while but I was making other things, two had stood out to me, the juniper being one and a Seamwork jumper being the other, then the Marlo got released. I might make both. I will be interested to see your Marlo too, I’m expecting the Marlo will be over sized from what I read, but it looks fitted on the model I saw.

Hi Laura, fantastic timing, I've just sewn the Marlo - had the Juniper for months and thought to sew that next (this keeps happening with creators happening to put out videos on projects that I'm about to sew). I think the Junipers look lovely lovely lovely on you. You mentioned the Ikea blanket a few times, do you have a link for it so I can see which blanket it is that you're talking about please? Anyway, thanks so much for sharing. xx

I'm 5 seconds into the video and yipping out "Woohoo! She has the crochet cardi on!"
I have my squares all done and prepped but not yet sewn together -- just some nice stacks of colour, full of promise. :-)

Try tfgFabrics for sweater knits, their range of fabric and colours is an amazing rainbow of heaven, the quality is superb and prices are really, really good too, I highly recommend!

I love cardigans on other people but I just don’t wear them now I’ve retired! As you know I too have the Juniper but I’ve never made it although I do see a couple of pastel ones in my future, to go over summer dresses 😁 Yours are lovely particularly the colour blocked one! I got some lovely wool type knits from a company called Neotrims. neotrims.com/temp/colths%20_10020301.html They have an Etsy shop. They also sell welt fabric and other knitted trims and they are reasonable in terms of price. I was very pleased with what I bought!

You may have (almost) persuaded me to be unfaithful to my Fullers and try a Juniper! I sew a G/H cup in the Fuller - do you have any opinion on whether it would be worth waiting for the extended sizes in the Juniper for a better bust/shoulder fit?

If you are still looking for a cardi pattern, have you seen the Jenna cardigan by muse patterns.
