I love the fact that you shared your experience with skillshare, it's something i have always wondered about 🤔
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it:) I've also always wondered about it and am happy I tried it out!:D
Skillshare, the Raid Shadow Legends of art youtubers
true lol
lmao agreed
HAHAHAH that was too funny not to reply
Skillshare is not just for art
@@youaremidlol I know
I signed up last year and have not regretted my decision. It has helped me to learn how to do so many things from being an entrepreneur to illustrating to learn knitting all at my own pace and anywhere. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing and giving others insight into a great platform!
Yay I'm so happy to hear that and am glad you feel the same way! I can't wait to discover more things to learn:D
Michelle Chela Torres
Thanks for sharing !.
@@ArtyVibesbySanika no your post is distasteful to me.
@Michelle Chela Torres can you please suggest me a few courses i want to draw people from life in poses and i want to make portraits currently i draw in gawx style but it is not accepted in art school
You could literally get the same information on CZcams for free. Skull share is a waste.
I really appreciate that you shared your feelings on each class you took & especially mentioning how they contrast to your formal schooling classes & also educational videos on yt.
Also it was funny that you couldn't seem to help but smile anytime you were about to say the word skill lmao.
Aw thank you I'm happy you enjoyed the video and could use some of the info I shared:3 Haha yeah I accidentally kept saying skill for some reason:DD
Thank you so much.
I have just started my free months, and had been having trouble finding exactly what I wanted, I hadn't thought of looking up artists that I love.
This really helped.
I appreciate you taking the time sharing this.
Yay thank you, I'm so happy to hear that!!
@@soniastegemann1923 I’ve thought about using skillshare for a while since I have a hard time learning on my own. The only thing holding me back is not being able to find what I need or the teachers I would need in order to progress.
I’ve struggled with learning to draw for so many years that I’m on the brink of giving up again permanently…there’s so many things that I just don’t know or know what the term is or know what the next step is for me since art is such a broad subject and can have many different types of teaching methods. I just want to be able to create at this point
Sorry for the rant
I got a Skillshare ad before the video😂
Haha omg:DDD
Thank you for sharing this information with us! This was very helpful, and gave me the most information I've ever gotten about skillshare
Aw yay thank you!
thank you for the video exactly what I needed. btw you had really nice drawings.
Gerade auf dein Channel gestoßen und verliebt. Wie süß du einfach bist 😭❤️🍀😊✨
Aw was du bist so lieb!
So glad you shared this I have skillshare but have been struggling to find the "good" courses, because I am not familiar with artists on their. I will check out your recs!
same?? if any one know good courses for like painting and sketching pls mention them
your video was a reason for me to find an other lessons I needed. thank you.
Yay I'm so happy to hear that!^^
@@soniastegemann1923 🌷
Thank you! Very informative. Going to try skillshare now
Yay I'm excited for you!!^^
@@soniastegemann1923 isnt it not free tho?
@@xocupidx No but you can try it for free using my link!^^
Chris hong just released a colored pencil course and I love her videos! I got a free trial from a youtuber and her videos really helped me step up on my portait drawing!
Ugh yes I've seen it!! She's amazing!^^
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I checked out my first class yesterday about Social Media Marketing, I was rather surprised how much useful information I gathered.
Bem legal. Queria aprender mais sobre pintura. Pena que nõ mostra muito que aulas eu posso escolher.
I have a question I just signed up for Skillshare and I have a seven day free trial and I want to do the yearly program and I picked out a class that I like but do they have any live classes or do you just pick out any videos you want to see each day like I have a hard time finding out where to start actually
Mine is taking too long .I watch the video and do it hands on. When maybe I should just watch the videos.
Nice video! Keep up the good work! (:
It is good to hear a creatives thoughts about Skillshare. The teachers you referenced appear to be experienced illustrators which is impressive. Are you aware of any other teaching websites like SS for creatives? Have you heard anything about Udemy being good for creatives? I know they have many classes and took one that gave me the knowledge to apply for a professional level job for the company I work for. They would probably be good for creatives but I haven't researched that area.
Thank you! I definitely would need to check those out, I haven't heard of them that much or tried them!
I can appreciate this video. I want to learn how to draw and always wondered if skillshare is worth the money
Yay I'm super happy to hear that! Skillshare is definitely great for learning fundamentals!:)
I understand that every experience is different and I decided to use one of those promo codes by a ytber and I’m kinda like ummm oof. Cause like it’s doesn’t have variety or a vast library for every kind of thing. It’s very specific like I wanted to learn how to draw Korean style anime like webtoon kinda shit.. and there was nothing at all and the regular anime style was super limited. Like it’s a very specific app for only basic classes. Like you can learn languages animation etc. bu t like just technical stuff.
Yes I see your point, it focused on professional classes that you would only get in schools etc:) There are a lot of very helpful animation tutorials though! And also content around drawing comics! So l'd still see how you could use Skillshare for learning how to make your own anime style animations or getting into professional programs like Indesign or Photoshop to make webcomics
You should know that if you sign up for a trial offer with
first of all you are soo pretty !
Thank you so much for this video it really helped me to finally decide if i want to get skillshare or not
Aw yay I'm super happy to hear that that's exactly what I hoped for^^
Also omg I just noticed the compliment, tysm T_T
Hi Natalie, I second Sonias review 👍 I've been on Skillshare for 10 months and have learnt so much I couldn't get on you tube (though I also love you tube). There are some great teachers. I have no affiliation with them and recommend signing up... Its definitely worth the price 👍
I just sign up and I'm trying to get a drawing out everyday to get better at being a artist but I honestly like skillshare so far
Yay I'm happy to hear that!^^ Drawing something every day definitely has made the biggest difference for me!
You said there are similar channels on CZcams, can you recommend a few? I’m interested in checking them out! :D
❤️❤️
Your chompers are so neat
I'm looking for the most basic illustration class, but there are so many platforms! I'm transitioning from traditional art (pencil, dip pen) to digital, and my knowledge of Photoshop is zero~. If people in the comments could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it! Your art is awesome!
I can relate! Getting into digital art is super hard!! Its like learning to draw all over again! I can recommend starting with a simpler program like Firealpaca and focus on your hand eye coordination first^^ Skillshare also has introduction classes into the Adobe programs which would be helpful to get started in Photoshop at first!:) And then you'd just need a workflow that works for you, which will happen on its own while you experiment!
Maybe start with a pencil or inking brush in Photoshop and draw like you would normally on paper first to get used to the new program and then venture out into colors/ layers and new techniques! If you are looking for any specific tutorial please let me know I'm happy to explain anything about Photoshop that you need!^^
@@soniastegemann1923 Thank you for your reply! I actually started with Clip Studio Paint already because it's less intimidating than Photoshop, and I'm loving it so far. I've just gotta practice now. Thank you for useful info! I greatly appreciate it!
Thanks and is it for free
2:is there courses avilable
Ok who else noticed the Atlantis the Lost Empire art right away?
Wonderful!!
I have always wanted to draw, I dabbled a little in photography, but, really feel I have a lot to offer.
You seemed to have been smitten by what you saw and learned. I plan to also take up graphic design,
though I would be starting from scratch.
I really like the way you presented. Thank You.
Thank you!
I will let you know of my progress.
Again, thank you.
I love your wallpaper
Thank you so much!!
I like that the video is like a school presentation 😂
Haha it kinda is:DD I wanted it to be as informative as possible lol
Huge Photoshop tip for people!!!-
The sRGB profile in Photoshop, has the smallest color spectrum. Never use that. The prophoto profile has the widest range, and you should always use that with 16-bit.. never lower.
Heyy, do u know why when I try to get a membership om the app it costs €95 a year, but when i try it on the website its €140 per year? Do you know why that is? Is there a difference?
I have a question, for participate in skillshare do we have to some skills already or we can start brand-new with this app??
You can start right away☺️ the classes are grouped into parts and always start with fundamentals!
your pixelated intro is so cute! did you make that?
Yes!^^And thank you!
I'd love to see you on skillshare, I have just found you and love your art! would you ever consider doing skillshare?
Yes I actually have, just haven't had the time to!^^ But I don't know what kind of course I want to make yet!
This video was beyond helpful and to find a channel with my same interest also subbing ☺️👌
Aw yay thank you so much!
Would you recommend Chris Hong art class for beginners
Yes! She explains everything very clearly and it's applicable for any skill level I think!^^
Marc brunet, mikey draws or something are two good ones.. synax i think..
Do you think this could be a good and cheap replacement for college? (besides knowing that their aren’t teachers there to critique)
Yes I feel like online classes (skillshare, schoolism etc) can be a great replacement for more traditional college art education! I personally only have a degree in graphic design and everything I know about illustration, I taught myself on the internet and by practice! But in order to do so, you need a good work ethic and know exactly what your goals are/ what you need to learn, so it kind of depends on the type of person you are/ how you learn best!^^
@@soniastegemann1923 Thank you!!! For learning, if I’m really dedicated to what I’m working on and want to do (which I am) I feel like It’d just be easier for me to go on skillshare and only have to pay $10 per month bc it’s like watching tutorials on Yt just more in depth and I’ve learned so much already just by watching Yt. And if I’m more focused on digital work and getting into digital animation (such as anime) do you think there would be more opportunities in something like skillshare since their are more professional artists on there and I could find more courses that focus on me?
Thank you for sharing your experience. I used your link to signup but didn't get any month free :(
Thats weird:/ I heard that the time span has changed since I made the video! But you should still be able to get a free trial!^^
hey, I really want to know if we have to interact with the teacher and other students on Skillshare? I've been thinking about learning there but also feeling hesitate because I don't know if I'm going to interact with others there 😅
Nope, you don’t have to if you don’t feel comfortable enough.
@@TheKaurK I see. also, I think they have short videos where you can learn from there without having to interact with the tutor. just found this a few days ago and I'm glad that I don't have to interact with the tutor or other students. but thanks anyway! :)
Anthra Dexter haha I am figuring this out too right now and am in the same boat :) good luck with all of your learning process!
@@TheKaurK good luck to you too!
Omgggg that's fye where do u learn that pixel thing
I mention all the classes I used in the video^^What exactly do you mean?
@@soniastegemann1923 one of those classes taught u how to do your intro ?
Oooh sorry I didn't know what you meant first!! No I just used very simple frame by frame animation in Photoshop for that! There are a lot of great pixel animation videos here on CZcams if you search for them:)
Thank you Sonia (I asume)!!! Your video was beyond useful to me and a very genuine advice.
Yay! I'm so happy to hear that!!^^
I GOT A SKILL SHARE ADD ON THIS VIDEO OMG
Haha omg:DDD
Heftige Englisch skills👏🏻 man hört den deutschen Akzent trotzdem direkt raus😂
Haha ja kann man nichts machen:D
Your accent is really pretty! What is it?
Omg!! Its German^^ I personally hate it haha but I'm glad you don't!
Sonia Stegemann Well you shouldn’t😁💕
I'm about to take a dive, see you in a week
Hehe yay I'm excited for you!^^
How’d it go?
How did it go?👁👁

Thanks for sharing your experience. I produced a vedio recently how to learn any skill faster. Hope that helps you😍😍
Best of luck

Danke!
Can you tell me some similar channels on CZcams
Similar to me?^^
You look almost like my sister
Omg really? how fun^^
photo shop designing
German?
Yes:D
Sonia Stegemann cool! I’m learning German, can you make more vids in German too?
@@soniastegemann1923 da wär ich auch dafür 😁😁😁
i feel, you so beauty =3
Can you make a skillshare class
One day hehe!
Please be careful with your words. You said Skillshare pays you a kickback every time someone signs up. A kickback is actually illegal. You have been paid a commission which is completely legal. Here is a brief definition of kickback for your edification: A "kickback" is a term used to refer to a misappropriation of funds that enriches a person of power or influence who uses the power or influence to make a different individual, organization, or company richer. Often, kickbacks result from a corrupt bidding scheme. ... Some also consider kickbacks to be a type of bribery.
:v pleasee subttile Indonesian
moin
Moin!
Du bist doch deutsch oder? 😁 den Dialekt kann man ja kaum überhören 🇩🇪👍🏼 danke für deine Meinung 🙂
Hehe jaa:D
Don't sign up for Skillshare unless you fully support Black Lives Matter, Campaign Zero, ACLU of Minnesota, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Know Your Rights Camp, Fair Fight and Committee to Protect Journalists as that is where most of your payments will go.
Don't learn art and photography from skillshare trust me it's worthless.
Took Brandon woefel course to see how he edits.
Six useless videos
(Now i can do photomanipulation and illustrator design just from CZcams)
If u want more i repeat get a good premium course for digital artist entirely coz skillshare is so not worth it for art and photography.
For art look for art course from art professionals and not some youtuber.
Reasons:-
They have worked in Disney, Pixar, Netflix, etc.
Most CZcamsr are just not good teacher because learning something and teaching it is totally different.
So get a proper online course like from Masters academy for arts.
SKILLSHARE IS SPONSORING PSEUDOSCIENCE - the channel Universe Inside You. I've exchanged messaged and told they'd look into it, and after a few months of message exchanges nothing change. They're still sponsoring irrational dangerous ideas and however useful it might be, I've boycotted them.
