Me too, this was the first time I watched one of PIA's 777's and little did I know was that was the start of something special which continues into the present day.
I remember watching this as a little kid never knowing what the hell kind of plane this was lol but I knew planes was my favorite thing to watch and everyday I watch vids like these with planes taking off because it’s part of my passion I have for aviation
The front-on shot of the approaching SIN B777 at 2:18 shows just how big the Turbofans are, using the main fuselage as a comparison. The sound of the 2-stage spool-up of the engines is just awesome. I have flown the Perth-Singapore route on SIN B777-200 several times now, and the 777 is just a magnificent aircraft. It's a joy to watch this type of footage.
C’s Aviation - The International Flight Spotter i agree very very powerful intense roar of the Rolls Royce Trent 800 engines producing 90,000 lbs of thrust
If just about sound , I loves Rolls Royce Trent over General Electric GE90-115B. Although the fact GE90 have a lot of thrust than RR Trents , for aviation fans know that, RR engine is more like riding a sports car that makes you worth the ticket price. That roaring beast sound is what the best part , the air-sucking power is strong. Never any engine can do such rev-up sound except Rolls Royce. Just my 2 cent.
I adore the sound of those engines too, I usually here it at least 6-7 times each day as I only live about a mile and a half away from Gatwick Airport.
Khalid Halim I honestly prefer the GE90s. They sound WAY better than more durable than the Trent 800s. RR engines were brought down by ice or exploded in mid air.
This video is simply great! Both of those takeoffs were magnificent to watch and listen to. It looked like either smoke or condensation was coming out of the left engine on that second takeoff. A fabulous job here once again! I also enjoyed the transmissions between air traffic control and the pilots.
Although i'm not interested in planes, this video really gives that sense of anticipation one gets waiting for the beasts to power up. Great stuff and love the whine of those engines.
Must have watched this hundreds of times and never ever get bored of it. Its the most incredible sound that the Trent engines make at all stages of flight. I can watch this again all day and its still as magical as the first time. Once again, this old pilot thanks you. Kev
I just loooooooooooooove that sound of the jet engine. It cries out loud first as if its saying "I am thirsty...quench my thirst...gimme fuel"..........and then it roars once the thirst is quenched with fuel and pushes that monster into the air
I love this plane and the good thing is that the company I work in makes parts for aerospace including Boeing and we ship it all over the world. I do quality stuff (Designing, inspection.....)and know where and at what plane that specific part will be fitted.
This video was my childhood for some reason.
you are not alone
same here
Me too, this was the first time I watched one of PIA's 777's and little did I know was that was the start of something special which continues into the present day.
Same
Ah same
This remains my favourite 777 video till date. Extreme and raw sound of the great engine.
My favourite too because I love the sound of the engine
Same here. Top Quality.
Always top quality
With all the 777 takeoff videos this one has the best sound.
the roaring sound of these engines amazes me everytime i hear it. just can't get enough of it!
I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning....Smells like.....Boeing.
Amen to that
SC PSO smells like Airbus
Smells like GE Aviation. They're the ones who make these engines right in Ohio. Proud to live here :)
@@FutureMP445 My father made engines for GE for over 20 years after he survived Vietnam, right there in Cincinnati.
The favorite take-off video of all time - with a double trip-seven punch. PIA one, 25 seconds from full-power to rotation - sickening acceleration.
I remember watching this as a little kid never knowing what the hell kind of plane this was lol but I knew planes was my favorite thing to watch and everyday I watch vids like these with planes taking off because it’s part of my passion I have for aviation
Love the sound of the engines. It gives me goose bumps
Nice quality for 2006

The ATC is icing on the cake.
Superb.
Those Rolls Royces sound clean. much love to the GE 90 too :)
3:22 I love the extreme engine sound on Singapor Airlines!
C’s Aviation - The International Flight Spotter i agree very very powerful intense roar of the Rolls Royce Trent 800 engines producing 90,000 lbs of thrust
That roar gave me shivers! GE90 fans (pun intended) can't take me away from the roar of a Trent.
@@lourensjacobsakaturbo8147 only 90,000? weak

I've seen this video at least 25 times by now. I come from time to time only to hear the ATC's musical voice...
maybe it's just me, but the controller had a sexy voice
It's nit just you : it's her!!! LOL
Yeah she does
Yeah
He sure does!!!
Great video!!*****
Those GE engines push like hell, I can smell the JP1 from my speakers !
are you alive bro?
yoo
Thx for posting these Chris....the sound is unbelievable......great having ATC instructions in background.....:-)
I love these two engines so much
I adore the sound of those engines too, I usually here it at least 6-7 times each day as I only live about a mile and a half away from Gatwick Airport.
Nice planes the 777s
Who else lives near an airport?
That lady sounds so cheerful. Love it.
Poetry in movement!
Absolutely beautiful
So the first one is a 200LR with GE90s and the second is a 300 with RR Trent 800 series engines? I'm new to this. btw I think the GE90 sounds better.
Wrong you fat ass noob.
Khalid Halim
I honestly prefer the GE90s. They sound WAY better than more durable than the Trent 800s. RR engines were brought down by ice or exploded in mid air.
Khalid Halim Thank god you're here.
The second plane is a Boeing 777-200ER
You are right about the engines, but both planes are 777-200ER :)

The plane is as close to perfection as you can get !!!!!
This never gets old. Great engine sound that you just can't experience as well from inside the plane.
This video is simply great! Both of those takeoffs were magnificent to watch and listen to. It looked like either smoke or condensation was coming out of the left engine on that second takeoff. I love the swirly thing in the centre of the turbofan at 3:20 and then the condensation cloud it produces! Cool!
Love the sound from those engines!!!
I just loooooooooooooove that sound of the jet engine. It cries out loud first as if its saying "I am thirsty...quench my thirst...gimme fuel"..........and then it roars once the thirst is quenched with fuel and pushes that monster into the air
