- Boeing 777 taking off from manchester on a cloudy morning.Watch the wing flex and condensation at engine inlet and on top of wing surface as temp drops rapidly here.Take off was incredibly smooth.
Out of all the GE90 engine vids on CZcams, this is the best, you get the feel of the power from that baby, just awesome!
It truly is a miracle!! Whenever I fly I try to be seated in the same position so I can watch those "man made beasts"...kick out some serious power. I love it!!!
I could watch these videos all day. I'm only 10 days away from my trip accross the pond on a BA 777-200.
The sound of those engines are terrific!!! Thanks GE!
Great view of the GE90. Awesomely huge and powerful engines!
One of the best videos of aircraft take off I have Seen. Gives the effect as if we are inside the aircraft. Hats off dear poster
man this bird climbs so rapidly! i'v heard alot about 777's impressive rate of climb, totally agree with that now. Just an amazing aircraft
amazing video espesialy beautifull wing flex and condensation of engines.
the quality of the video is bloody outstanding
beautifull and smooth takeoff
WOW WOOOOWWW WOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, How can i gain so much pleasure from the sound of an aircraft its so not normal!
Look at that fabulous Engine and wing condensation! :P
That is one big engine. Gotta love the sound also
INCREDIBLE!!! i just love the sound of those GE90
cool condensation on the inlet...that's one bad ass engine
that engine is a beast! i love the 777-300er!!
such smooth takeoff! The engine is going way faster than you think.
Not only that, these beautiful engines are good for the snow so you dont have to worry about shoveling.

That sound is SO mighty!!!!
I was damn scared of taking of in a couple hours. But now I think watching this video I feel a little bit better to ride on PIA. Looks quite fun actually, like a huge rollercoaster. :D
My 12" Peerless XLS subwoofer is shaking my house to shreds when watching this jet take off!
I've seen alot of these types of clips, but this one is awesome!VERY nice indeed!
I LOVE THE SOUND OF THE ENGINE...
Holy crap...those engines are huuuge :D
Love the sound of the engines spooling up at 1:47
WOW, let me tell you, you've got the best view ever for both 777 wing and engine, bravo, 5/5
greetings from japan
I took a 777 in 1998, when the plane was still new off the assembly line, and I could not believe how quiet(and powerful on takeoff!) the engines were.
How those big 777s get airborne so quickly amazes me. Great video thanks for uploading.
the 777 is the best comercial plane ever produced
Excellent video !
Great video, amazing airplane. We're a few months away from getting these 777LRs here at Delta. Can't wait.
Holy shit! Massive takeoff and massive engines :)
beautiful take-off
Holy cow, very nice sound quality
Hello!Nice takeoff to JFK!But cloudy weather!I give you 5 star for this film!=)
Greeting TheCARRE74=)
Gotta love those GE-90s, largest and most powerful jet engines in the world today.
One of the worlds most powerful and efficient engines.
Those GE90's sound so angry. Man , what a monster!
Didn't even sound like it was at full thrust at takeoff...amazing.
Thats an amazing amount of power!
wow brilliant. I suppose that pia 777 flew from sumwhere in pakistan to manchester for a refuel and pickup/dropoff then continued to JFK
The best engine in service! :)
i just love the PIA NEW PLANES!
the engine is so awesome :] i love the sound
The perfect view of the 777 engine :OD
such a STRONG and SMOOTH take off. Love those Triple 7s. Thank God for the GE 90-115B.
It's very nice. PIA 777 is the best.
Love the sound of the GE90-115B at full power..it delivers 121,000Lbs thrust..!!
The boeing 777 has huge engine !
Thank for the answers! thank! :)
great footage keep it up
Simply Beautiful
I flew twice on the 777. I love these take offs showing the inlet and condensation. I did some calculations on the GE90 engines for fan shaft power. I referenced an ihi.co.jp pdf paper on line. Speaking of the -94 and -115 versions respectively, the fans turn at 2850 and 2550 RPM, of diameters 123 and 128 inches, with fan shaft torque of 225,000 and 293,500 ft lb, and power level of 122,000 and 142,480 horsepower (includes LP compressor). The fan shaft is maraging steel of 55 Rc hardness!
You can always recognize the intense sound of the GE-90 powerplants. These specific engines ( the GE-90 110-B1's) produce a staggering 110,000 pounds of thrust under EEC control.
thats a really big engine!
superb video.
Very impressive!
No, it's just because the camera films only at 25 or 30 frames per second. When the fan appears to be moving very slowly or spinning in the other direction it is because those 25 or 30 fps of the camera "sync" with the RPMs of the fan.
Beautiful . . .
YES !!!!!!!!!! THIS SOUND !! YES !
@Bakhti66 fantastic video.
Condensation is inversely proportioned to temperature and pressure.
In other words, to get condensation (fog, clouds) you need to lower the temperature and decrease the pressure.
On takeoff, the engine sucks so much air that there is a huge pressure difference in the intake creating a mini-vacuum of air in front of the engine. Because there is less air pressure, it condenses the air and you see fog!
nice takeoff
nice video
great video
Wow!!!!!! lol
i am Big Big Fan PIA
Pakistan International Airline Has Been Confirmed.. bye his New Flights..
From ISlamabad to Barcelona 29th March 2009 so i am waiting.. for recording in Airport PIA ..
From: Barcelona
is that not the sexiest noise known to man. gives me shivverssssss...........!!!
man! that thing is really huge 。
god each night i'm dreaming that i am the pilot of this beautiful engine
Thanks Power!
OoOOoO men I love this sound!!!!!!!
Excellent vid...;-)
@Keelz7196 Your normally stabilise them to about 50-55% N1 to make sure every things ok, also depending on the life cycles of each engine, they may spool up at different times. If your on a wet runway, go to take off power and only get it from one engine as the other is spooling up, you could risk veering off the runway with that much asymmetrical thrust. Its just standard procedure for most modern commercial jets.
@YOYOYUKIO the generally accepted explanation is that this is caused by the sharp drop in air pressure in the mouth of the engine, causing the humid air to drop below the dew point, at which the water vapor condenses to form a fog or cloud
look up Prandtl-Glauert Singularity...it is pretty scientific stuff, but that's the basic idea
good take off
I remember this video 13 years ago
Thanks a lot.
@infoseeker229 Two reasons...one, so that folks on the tarmac can see that the engine is running & not walk in front of & accidentally get sucked into the engine. Two, the strobing of the white spiral when the engine is in operation scares off birds who might think they can fly into and/or through the engine while it is in flight.
The perfect machine!
Awesome man, PIA should also replace their old 737-200 and get the 737-800s series!
@blakstadboy 777LR means long range it flies to toronto from karachi, lahore, isb directly nonstop within hrs
great vid
@Bakhti66 US traffic restrictions. Inbound flights from Pakistan to the USA cannot fly direct because of security. They have to go via Manchester or somewhere else where they get checked again for suspicious cargo or passengers. That's the way it is for now but MAN enthusiasts are happy to see PIA with the 772LR
yeah does help
look at the wing bend as the plane rotates. fucking great.
Yeah, I know 777-300ER can fly non-stop from JFK to LHE, it did when once 777-200LR was not available, but PIA does not operate it regularly.
just amazing.
Must have been very noisy siting right in front of the engine. nice video!
Great vid bakhti66.
Held my breath and jammed the camera to the window.
it would be great....coz pia 777 r so cleaned and u will feel celbrity as they treat u...better then the britsh airways staff....
gotta love 777s
im always like oo damn when the engines start to take power back at like 1500 feet
it's just from the angle we're looking at it... down there, me and you can both fit inside the rolls royce trent, lol.
its not that its a bad recording its that the engines actually sound like that
wonderful
@Bakhti66 Correct! Heathrow has one too!
WooooooooW ... Nice
its from the tips of the fan blades in the engine going supersonic.
No, I just did some research. PIA has GE90 on all their 777's. Not just 300ER.
Thanks..
fuck, this movie makes me very happy and mood! GOOD SOUND !!
100000000000 Stars!
WOOOW NICE !!
