Noting that the overspeed fault light is lit, either the governor setpoint or the overspeed circuit were probably the cause.

You have to have the solenoid hooked up to the wiring for it as that is how the speed is set to maintain hertz. I have three of these.....

The crank switch in the engine compartment needs to be in the normal position

Did you check your oil water separator ???? Holding the start/run that long (beyond 15 seconds) likely not a good idea. It doesn’t quite sound like it’s getting up to speed. Clearly if the quality of the diesel has diminished it can lead to issues as well as condition of air intake but I may be stating obvious points you are well aware of. What did you eventually discover ?

We sold it as is. It was discovered that there was an electrical issue. Thanks

I have a Mep805b the computer detects the engine has low oil pressure I change the sensor and still detecting that fault but I check and it does have great pressure. Can you help me get it running?

Thanks for inquiring. We sold this unit as is. I gave up trying to figure it out. I’m not sure who to send you to. Sorry.

Get on some military forums and find an army mechanic who worked on these things

Have you tried shorting the pressure switch? Not the yellow and black wires (power)…. The other two you can short the pins and see if it starts. Once started you can pull the jumper to see if it keeps running with the sudden pressure change. Do not let run like this long or you may have a runaway generator that won’t stop!! If oil pressure is wrong it could take off and you have to cover air intake to kill it.

@@NewEnglandReptile I just took it to some one that change the computer sistem and is running great.
I couldn’t wait to find the problem so we decided to eliminate the whole sistem and make it work with a different one.
