Wow this reminds me of my grandma. She bought a PS2 Slim when I was younger so she had something to entertain all the grandchildren with when we stayed over. She would buy almost every game she could find she had a huge cd case filled with PS1 and PS2 games. She was the best. R.I.P❤️❤️ GiGi ❤️!!❤️
She sounds like a awesome grandma may she rest in peace 🙏 ❤
I'm more impressed that it still works. There has to have been restoration you didn't show us. Because the rust alone in there on the heat shield had to mean the leads and components on the motherboard were done for. That or it's a real testament to how tech was built vs. now. Tech is built to break these days so that you buy more...PS1 was still part of the era of "built to last". I still have my PS1 in working order on display on my shelf...but it was never in this condition.
Did you find that on the titanic?😂

It is I restore consoles like this all the time they don't come concrete stained, and it takes more than a chill cleaning to fix it.
I still have my original from launch and it works just fine. Even the controller works perfectly. So many hours of gaming and the thing has never given me any trouble. The PS1 and N64 are the most resilient consoles of all time.
You never had the laser sled issue? Every first wave PS1 I have ever encountered had to be played with the console upside down in order to read the disc. I find it very difficult to believe that a PS from 94-95 still works with zero issue, as they were terribly made and 99.9% of them had issues even several years later. By 1998 my friends and I couldn't get our to work unless they were upsidedown.
@@Axolotl_Mischief nope. Not one issue with it. And I was not very easy on it either. I still play my original copy of FF7 from time to time. Unfortunately only Disc 1 and 3 still work. Disc 2 won’t load. Lol. Oh well. I still have my original save file.
@@qualityherbsonly The OG FF7. What a gem
The N64 controllers were a tad delicate though. Otherwise yeah.
They are the nokia brick phones of gaming consoles
I remember having a ps1 as a kid and it blows my mind how far technology has come especially after using the ps5
Definitely for sure, but I'm probably going to only play retro consoles for now on since I don't have broadband internet. So I'm going backwards in technology
Agreed. I had a PS1 and I used to play a lot of fun racing games on it
I was a kid during the ColecoVision/Atari days, and let me tell you what a pure joy it is to see the video gaming industry where it is today...I can't even wrap my head around what it would have been like to have the graphics and complexity these games today have when I was a kid in the 80's. Not just consoles either, but VR as well. Gaming has come a helluva long way since Pong...and in a relatively short amount of time too!
Impressive how people throw things away like that after being part of their happiness, videos like that makes me sentimental. It's like a surgery for machines to bring them back to life, amazing work.

These game on the end of a video brings back good memories when my parents bought me PS1. Tarzan was the game that I got with console. I remembar like it was yesterday we didnt have memory card and I completed almost half game when my father said “Pause the game lets go and buy memory card”. I was maybe 8 years old and I will never forget those childhood days. Thank you god on good memories.
I remember as a 4 year old I was playing Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver and my dad told me to turn the PlayStation off so he could watch TV. I just unplugged the video cable from the PlayStation and when he asked why I told him that I don't have a memory card so I couldn't save my game. He went to the store, got me a memory card and told me to save my game

Just pure nostalgia, this is man. No one can ever compare the feelings you get from hearing that PS1 Intro, and remembering your childhood, and the good times. Still glad I still have and play on my PS1, and PS2 till this day. Nothing will ever be like this, how I wish I could go back to the good old days. How time flies honestly. I wouldn’t call this a restoration job. But it was interesting to watch it being cleaned up.
Same thing I was thinking. A lot of the guts still had a lot more that could’ve been done to them to actually restore them.

That's awesome and what makes it even better is the fact that it is the better, imo, model because of the access port on the back. I had both models, one with the port and one after they removed the port, or removed the cover that allowed access to the port. I could make any cheat code for pretty much any game. It was fairly simple once you figured out how that particular game shark worked other than the typical code book insert code method. My bad, reliving those nostalgic memories and started rambling on lol.
Whatever I Just Watched was Extremely Impressive to say the least as i never wouldve imagined that could be restored not only visually but the fact it works is crazy if in fact it was all factory parts you cleaned up and it was the same Playstation you showed us at the start then yea absolutely Fantastic and quite unbelievable
It's not the same ps1 that gets turned on the restored one wouldn't work since all of the components on the board were fried and he used all the same parts alcohol does fix broken chips or burn marks

Wait, it was in that condition and you didn't have to replace any of the wires, ribbon cables, capacitors or resoder any connections?
Yes he is a pro
While the exterior was in shocking condition the interior wasn't that bad
Because they covered it in concrete, the inside was actually pretty OK!!
Because this is how those videos work.
"Oh look I *"found"* this thing right here, oh it's so *dirrrrty* but mostly just from the outside as if someone just slapped some dirt on it to make it look rugged, lemme *"restore"* it.
Now this actually looks gross in a realistic way but I'm very certain that if he ran into any technical issues, he would've thrown it away and simply not upload the video.
This is soothing to watch.
This video earned a sub for sure... Love the content!
值得讚賞的是這螺絲品質真好,都沒生鏽👍
Amazing not one piece of water damage from the wet cement just the standard dust and grime inside for any normal ps1/ps2/ps3 or even a ps4 thats been used for a few months amazing that
So true. Because it’s a BS restoration. They purposely damage the housing and then “fix” it
Bro nice that’s super clean
How can people not see that these videos are fake? There is no physical way a playstation can get caked up like that as it would had to have had water and mud all around it, which then would have gave the whole system MASSIVE water damage, which you would have seen inside the PS1 yet there was none. You can also see the piss poor job on the painting of "dirt and rust"
I'm really glad I watched this with adblock
LOL..only old people and little kids are falling for this😭😭😭

My guy brought back a PS1 from the dead, then used one of my favorite childhood Disney classics as a test game! This made my night!👍
Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
@@resEG too bad the test at the end was faked. perhaps you could mention that at any time? maybe do a small explanation if any parts were replaced/actually repaired? I believe the shell might have been in good shape, but no way that board was the same, the disk reader port was ripped off the board when you removed it! You'd be doing us a disservice if you keep pretending like everything is the same in the console. maybe show us how to actually repair it and how to find swappable parts, like the controller port, or the disk drive. How does someone solder on that port that was ripped off the board - you know? I like the "restoration" genre of videos, but don't swindle us, man.
I freaking love these kind of videos
So soothing to watch
Blessed be the days of yore. This was beautiful and nostalgic to watch.

Im a little bit in doubt too. It's awesome no doubt. But would the console run so flawless, after a cleanup. I didnt see him fix any of the really importen stuff.
Don't you think the cables and other importen stuff, like the disc reader, would take damaged after looking like that. It's been lying around for awhile. Don't think cleaning it and removing rust, will make it work again.
Maybe it is, and I think you could fully repaire it. But not this way.
Looks good though.
Another thing is the controller. Think a little about that. It did not come with the console. Maybe he bought a new controller. Or he had another console lying around (which i strongly believes he have, he ha the Tarzan game)

It's amazing to get a glimpse of what our ancient ancestors played for entertainment, so many years ago...25 years to be exact.
To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
Are you saved? Where will you go when you die? Heaven or hell?
The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.
