DscrappyLoco Golani They work better than you’d think. My everyday boots are Alden Indy boots and for 1 year I had leather soles on them and I wore them doing everything. If you’re climbing mountains they probably are not going to do great but a casual hike through the woods or a trail they do fine.

@@EZBISME It is more of a regional thing. I have family in Texas and out west who really will wear cowboy boots with suits. Midwest and east coast, that isn't the case.
As for Golani, good boots are good boots. They're only as comfortable as their quality and the time spent breaking them in.

I would love a cowboy boot video. As a Texan, I love the "black tie cowboy" look as we call it. It usually isnt actually black tie but it is the name for a custom boot + suit combo out here. Some also call it "high class cowboy" i have 2 suit + boot combos for that look and so does my brother lol

Yeah! I want to see video on cowboy boots. Go visit boot companies in the USA and there is one in Canada too. Lucchese and Boudin I think. And while you are at it, English riding boots. You would look good in one of those English suits with the fuzzy helmet sitting atop a horse with an English saddle. Totally posh.

No, very rarely while on travel. For the business sector I work in I would be considered overdressed with a tie/jacket. Even our CEO is in a pair of slacks and button down 95% of the time. Hence I'm limited on those types of trips.
I just recently bought a brown pair of the Captain boots from Thursday Boots (thursdayboots.com/products/mens-brown-captain). Even though i love wearing these boots with a pair of dark washed denim, I was wondering if you think that you could wear these boots with some chinos, because they are kind of a mix between casual work boots and more formal boots? Doc Martens 1460 boots as formal/dress boots, opinions?
Is it okay to wear button boots as part of office wear comprising of a formal shirt and trousers only? Suits are not a daily office wear for me, otherwise it is a usual office formal wear set up - white / blue / baby pink shirts with conservative shades of trousers.

In my neck of the woods, Timberlands and Red Wings are the workboots everyone wears. Dr. Martens are the ones office workers and cooks wear.
Dr. Martens have a very niche fashion style. It's not really something that can fit within the classic style.
Great video I know it’s old but I would like to address some things. 1st. There are many many many styles and colours of work boots. They don’t just work with denim they work with a lot of combinations. 2nd the moc toe. I’ve been a laborer for over 13 years, I’ve work many moc toes that have been able to hold up great to the construction trades. Just kinda bothered me when you said they weren’t for the functionality
Pretty much every union worker/tradesman wears moc toe boots in my area wears them (kinda shows his knowledge about those boots eh).
He's kinda right in that the only thing work boots don't pair with are suits (seems to be the only thing he wears).

I hike in Red Wing Iron Ranger boots, the Hawthorne Muleskinner (tan suede) and the Oxblood are very versatile.

One of the most horrific thing I see usually, is boots that are laced VERY lose. You are suppose to tighten the boot with the laces! Just insanely stupid.

Sven, sometimes I do not understand you. On the one hand you strongly argue against using a tie-keeper already provided on the garment to keep the two ends of the tie from going higgledy-piggledy, even if it is only the manufacturer's label, and here you are arguing with equal fervor for a style of boot which requires a special tool to fasten the buttons - which *no one* ordinarily keep in their pockets.
