- Very disappointing result given the effort shown by the team but in the end the difference in class was the play in the last third of the pitch and the finishing. Nonetheless the fans sang their hearts out for the team typified by the 15 minute wall of noise after conceding the third and fourth goals. Proud to be a Pompey fan ..... PuP!

I'm an Everton fan and feel like coming up to Portsmouth to watch a live game just to feel the experience of being at a completely different football ground after having been to Goodison Park so many times just a little unsure how I may be received not being from Portsmouth recently went to Blackpool such a fantastic experience and was treated relatively well by most Blackpool locals.

I am a Saints fan and I grew up in Paulsgrove (I live in Porchy now). I went to King Richards and most Pompey and Saints fans understand that all this tough talk is bullshit. If you don't believe me just go down to Port Solent or the Red Lion in Portchester when Saints are on TV (when Rona allows). Saints and Pompey fans watch and take the piss out of each other together. Even down in Somers Town or Lamport if you say your a Saints fan you just get a bit of friendly banter. Thing is it's easier to hate someone you don't know!!
