    If you’re able to answer this question that would be wonderful. I have known about lime vs cement now for many years and your video cement vs lime is a brilliant explanation of the science both chemically and physically. What I still don’t understand completely is whether you can cause damage using the wrong lime. NHL, lime putty or quick lime. I want to repoint my Victorian house which has solid external walls with lime. Can I use NHL 2 or 3.5 for such a thing as a definite? Lime is quite a confusing subject with too many opinions out there. Is it just the case that any lime is better than cement and even NHL mixed with sharp sand will be fine? Thank you

    That is awful, will that not cause issue with water, both in frosty conditions blowing the face of the brick and also with possible internal damp? with how proud they have done the pointing it already looks like faces have blown though they have not. Bit of a strange one, eye catching for all the wrong reasons, im not even sold on the colour.
