Building with lime mortar in Portugal

  • Ben and I form the doorway and repair the walls of this old Portuguese farmhouse. On this build we were using hotlime or quicklime as it's sometimes known. This was a first for me and I am totally converted to it.
    I tried to get the key information into this video without it becoming boring. Enjoy!

    Lovely job, If you fancy having more time in Portugal just let me know, one of my jobs this summer is putting the hard landscaping in the front garden and the main feature is a drystone seating area

      I'd been thinking about running a course in Portugal to teach how to build like this. would it be something you
