I have failed this 2 times and my emotions go in waves, i think passing SMLE STEP 1 is not meant for people like me 😭 😢 😕 😐 😔 💔 😭 😢 😕 😐 😔
Passing the test is a challenging and frustrating experience. I believe that it's not just about studying, but also about having God's grace to succeed.
It's true.
I studied with my cousin, but she spent more time on her phone than studying. Despite this, she passed the Step 1 test while I failed. When I asked her how she did it, I found out that she received help from Mr Richard.
Frustration can be a positive sign. It indicates that the solution to your problem is close, but your current approach isn't working. You need to change your approach to achieve your goal.
You will pass. Everyone has their own season. Just keep going, pray, and believe that you will receive your breakthrough. 🙏
Hey, thank you for sharing and for being transparent. I was so confused after reading those posts on reddit. This is exactly what I needed.
U are the exact motivation I needed to feel good about the choice I am about to make. I’m a MBBS undergraduate from Sri Lanka currently in my final year. I never had a Dedicated study leave up to now for 1 yr of prep. I’ve been studying, doing questions whenever I can while having to train at our teaching hospital normally from 8 am till 10 pm. It’s very hard to balance a lot in my plate at once but I’m optimistic. Thank you for making a difference ❤
I really appreciate for your hounesty, just I want to say and emphasize that you are a perfect doctor, good luck Dear Doctor
Could you please how we can reschedule our illegibility period ?
I really appreciate
Hi, scheduled for August and then extended eligibility with new Step 2 test date in November. Unable to take test in Nov and will be cancelling with prometric. Do I need to wait a certain period of time before reapplying on ECFMG website for new Step 2 exam? Or can I just start a new application and pay the new fees etc straight away?
I'm in the exact same state you are. Rushing to reschedule my step 1 a few days before the exam cause my NBME scores are only 57 ish. Could you let me know how I can reach out to you. I'd like to know what sort of prep you did to get your scores higher. Because most of the questions i got wrong were things that i knew but messed up on occasion.

I'm exhausted my school might make me postpone comlex. I'm sad and tired of studying. I got a 383 on comsae 110(beginning of dedicated). 425 on comsae 108. 408 on 107(schools comsae). I needed a 450 for the schools comsae to sit for comlex and am sad and stressed I'll never get over boards.
I provide mentoring over on my Facebook page Med Boards Prep if you’d like to speak 1 on 1
CN you please share your updates and what you did in the past 2 weeks and if you improved
Thank you
will do!
Hey! I'm a FMG who's currently doing research. I'm around 50% in NBMEs. Let me know if you'd like to study or strategize together. I'm going to take it towards the end of July.
I'm exactly same as you and my test is scheduled the same too do you want to strategize am an img too
@@halaali2296 Sure! Let’s do that! The only saving Grace I’ve is that I’m yet to complete 30% of UW - cardio, neuro, derm, MSK, and immunology. So, I’m hoping once I finish that and do quick revision, I’ll hit 60-70%.
I appreciate your transparency & advice because my classmates & I are also in the same situation 🥲 We're trying to figure out if we should even take step 1 since it's P/F. And instead, just take complex 1 & 2 and step 2
Ya I mean it’s definitely a case by case basis
are there any books or resources you recommend for the boards exams?
I’ll have a video on resources soon but definitely get the First Aid book starting medical school and use it throughout
Hey I’m getting 59 percent on latest nbme step in 1 week.. but max I can postpone is 2.5 weeks? Any suggestions?
I think you are probably fine to take it
Any updates on this?
I’m in the same boat as you. Did you end up taking your exam 3rd year then?
I took it right before I started my clinical rotations… so like late July.
