  • This is the first fpv flight of my DIY Fractal Wingman. It exceeds my expectations in how it flies, but it is very under powered and you have to really plan your maneuvers which was the compromise for this small with a single 18650 for battery.
No brownouts or other issues this flight. I don't think the end was sag as much as it was just poorly planned. This is onboard DVR 1080p60 footage upscaled to 4k (traditionally, not ai or anything) to preserve as much as possible on youtube.

Not a racer for sure. Did you lighten up the battery holder at all? What battery? Molicel are really good. I'm planning on putting an A30 connector on it so I can run a Lava 550 for power when I want to do a little more than cruise.

No I have not lightened up the holder at all. This was with a Sony vtc6 cell, I have some of the molicell 2800’s on the way. I kinda took it easy on these Sony cells for this flight so it does have a bit more performance in it with the right cells.
I’m pretty happy with how it flies, it’s something that’s more fun in larger areas than a tiny whoop imo.
My only issue with it is that I get pretty poor RF performance from both the avatar vtx and crossfire. Both just get far less range than they should. Idk if the tmotor aio or boosty boi is super noisy maybe. Interestingly, the crossfire is powered by the aio, and only the vtx is powered by the boosty boi so it’s odd both have issues.
