Great reaction! This was such an unexpectedly good show. I didn’t think I’d be that invested in the characters when I stared it but once I finished the first season I just had to know what happened so I read the books.
That scene with laurel and the kids was pure heartbreak and when Conrad said “please mom. I need you.” I was destroyed bc he’s been carrying this on his own for so long and he usually struggles to communicate his feelings so him begging hit so hard.
I was with you at the end like, Belly girl do not kiss him you need to talk with Jer first but I also get it…emotions were running high, Conrad’s the guy she always wanted and then she finally understands why he said he wanted her but couldn’t be with her. I don’t know I could’ve said No to him in that moment.

I still am debating if I want to read the books or just watch the show. It’s the same dilemma I have with Bridgerton. 😭 What do you think?
@@JoiLouiseReacts you’re welcome. Just like this show, with Bridgerton I read all the books after the first season.
Tsitp books have a lot of small differences from the show but the advantage of the books is you get better insight into the minds of the characters bc it’s first person. With the actor/writers strike and the inevitably long wait for season3 if you are going to read the books I’d say wait until at least after you have done your season 2 reactions.
@@Pfruit0916 Thank you! This is SOLID advice! I plan to react to season 2 by the end of 2023. I don’t want to rush it. Plus there are some movies I’d like to react to before I start it. The strike is also something I have taken into account as well. Appreciate your knowledge on the books too. 🙏🏽
