So glad you're watching this. A lot people forget that Ginny is a 15 year old with irrational mother. Ginny gets a lot of unnecessary hate.
I also feel like Ginny is a lot more intellectual and intelligent than Georgia was at her age. Respect is mandatory when your a kid. It shapes how you are in the world. I will NEVER budge on that. So I get the flack that Ginny gets, but people should be open to understanding where it comes from. Excited to keep watching. Ginny is a sweet girl, she just needs better guidance and better friends. I only like Maxine right now. 🤣😂😅

🤭 I could sense that she did from the VERY beginning. And the pillow did look plush. 🤣
A lot of people hate on Ginny for how she acts towards Georgia and while I will admit she does have her bratty and rude moments, I think people are forgetting that she’s a teenager. I’m sure most of us had moments as teens when we acted bratty and rude towards our parents. There’s also the fact that due to Georgia not setting a mother-daughter boundary with Ginny, and raising her like they were siblings….Ginny has almost had to act more mature than Georgia her whole childhood and then once she started acting like a typical teenager, Georgia couldn’t stand it because they both act that way. Now I’m willing to bet that a lot of Ginny haters don’t know what generational trauma is…..yes Georgia has her own traumas from her childhood, and she tried her best with Ginny and Austin however….because she never tried to get help mentally, especially with therapy…she ended up passing her traumas down to them. Even though Ginny and Austin are kids, they have their own personal life experiences. Ginny’s grandma even told Ginny’s dad what a lot of Ginny supporters have been saying: Georgia is a narcissist who only thinks about herself and her wants, even though it was never made clear in both seasons as to what she truly wants. She doesn’t take into consideration about her children’s’ feelings.
Your clarifying a lot here. There definitely is no definitive line between parent and friend for Ginny and Georgia and Ginny definitely steps up more than her Momma does. I know and understand generational trauma all too well. But I also know I didn’t get away with being rude or disrespectful to my elders either (raised by Caribbeans) 🤭.
@@JoiLouiseReacts there’s also the fact that in their household even with Paul….Georgia, Austin, and Paul are all white and Ginny while she’s mixed with white and black, she identifies more with being black but it doesn’t seem like she knows much about her own culture due to Georgia never really allowing Ginny to see Zion’s parents. Between Zion and Georgia, I personally think Zion is the better parents and when Ginny had her panic attack….not only did Zion know what it was, and helped her, but he actually got her into therapy and understood that she was struggling….Georgia was completely against mental help and would just brush it off as being dramatic or emotional. While it’s understandable that Georgia wouldn’t be too sure about therapy, giving it a try doesn’t hurt. Zion is a better partner to both Ginny and Austin than Georgia.

Just to let you know the reason for why Ginny is the way she is, is because Georgia never established a mother-daughter boundary with her. Georgia raised her like they were sisters, and it’s a known thing that super young parents tend to raise and treat their kids….like siblings. I assume that you don’t know what generational trauma is, so let me dumb it down for you. Yes, Georgia has her own traumas from her childhood….however, because she never got any type of therapy or mental help for it she ended up passing those traumas down to Ginny and Austin. Ginny and Austin though they’re kids…..they have their own personal experiences too. Generational trauma is a real thing, and let’s not forget that Ginny is a damn teenager so of course she’s gonna have her spoiled brat, and disrespectful moments like any typical teenager.
