Abby struggles with bulimia nervosa, a disorder where one eats and then purges their food. This bulimia is rooted in her family struggles and evolved in season two. In this season we see her struggle immensely with the size of her thighs, resorting to extreme measures of taping them to make them appear thinner.
Aaahhh! Thank you for this insight, Lily. Being Plus sized I’ve struggled in my late teens and early 20s with what society had to say about my appearance but never dealt with purging myself or resorting to extreme measures so this escaped me a bit. I appreciate you taking the time to shed light here. I will do my best to be more patient with this character as I know there may be some people who have or are dealing with this in real life. All of these characters you get to know at the start can be alot and or seem rude/bitchy and i guess "mean girly" but you never know what people struggle through ofc but doesn't mean their behavior is okay at times but there's always room for improvement ~ Cant wait to see your reaction to season 2! both seasons 3 and 4 was announced so im very excited. Hope for more back story for more of the characters!
