EASY CROCKPOT PORK LOIN WITH BROWN SUGAR AND BALSAMIC GLAZE: Delicious fall-apart pulled pork recipe

- This Pork Loin with Brown Sugar and Balsamic Glaze Recipe is easy and delicious. Best of all, it's made in a crockpot, so you can get it cooking first thing in the morning and go about the rest of your day, then come home to a mouthwatering meal where the pork is so tender it falls apart...and the brown sugar and balsamic glaze make it both sweet and savory. It is definitely a winning recipe. One, I'm sure you'll make again and again. Here's what you'll need:
Pork Loin with Brown Sugar and Balsamic Glaze
pork loin (approx. 3 lbs.)
1/4 to 1/2 an onion, coarsely chopped
salt & pepper to taste
3-4 fresh garlic cloves
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. corn starch
Turn on crockpot/slow cooker and set on Low. Place chopped onion in crockpot. Rinse off pork loin with water and pat dry using paper towels. Season with salt and pepper and quickly brown on all sides over stove in lightly greased frying pan. Place pork loin, fat side up, on top of onion in crockpot. Add 1/2 cup water. Place garlic cloves on top of pork. Cover and let cook for 6 hours.
In the final hour of cooking, prepare glaze. Combine brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and corn starch in small sauce pan and cook over stove approx. 5 minutes until glaze is thickened. (Note, glaze is really delicious, so you may want to double the amount to have extra when serving.)
Turn pork over inside crockpot and pour half of the glaze on top. Set aside the rest of the glaze. Let pork continue cooking until done.
When pork meat falls apart easily, serve it with the remaining glaze on top. You can also place it in an oven safe dish and put it in the oven to broil for a few minutes so the top gets a little crispy. This pork loin is delicious! And, if you're lucky, you'll have some leftover. Just refrigerate and make some killer sandwiches or burritos the next day!

i am an old man living alone. It is Christmas Eve. I bought a bit of pork loin roast @ the grocery store today. I am so thankful for the search engine on youtube to bring this video to me. This crock pot pork sounded worth the trouble. I don't consider myself a cook. Cook I must. Thank you for taking the time to teach this lesson. Cheers and Merry Christmas. 🙂
Merry Christmas ❤how did your pork lion turn out?
I cooked the recipe a few weeks ago, and we really liked it. I made a slight change; given that I had already dirtied a frying pan, by searing the pork loin in it, I used the minced onions to deglaze the frying pan and cooked them until translucent before adding them to the crockpot. Today we're making this again, but it's my son who's doing the cooking. We added some thinly sliced potatoes, carrots and celery to the onions, to turn it into a complete meal. Easy and delicious!
Sounds wonderful! Great idea to use the onions to deglaze the frying pan, too. Will have to do that next time I make it. Thanks for the comment.
Cooked a 5 lb one today for the first time using this recipe! 7 hours on low and amazing, I mean amazing! Following the instructions but double the glaze for the 5 lb loin.
Doubling the glaze is always a good idea. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to tell me.
Thank you Marcy. Pork loin was succulent. I will save among my favourites.
I'm glad you did a quick sear on the meat. I have seen so many recipes that dont do this but I personally think it adds more flavor. Great recipe ty!
I agree. It really makes a difference. Thanks for the comment.
Doesn’t this also lock in some moisture? That was always my problem 😳😳😤
I like to try anything! Had a pork Loin in the freezer. Low/med in a Iron Skillet. Just below med heat. Seared Perfectly. Checked the internal temp 35/40 mins covered. Temp was 155*. No reason to Roast or any further heat, Perfect! She wanted to slow cook it. I cut the roast in 1 lb pieces prior to searing. Wow. Will be lucky to make the table. 1/2 gone at 2:15. Light Garlic, kitchen Boquet nothing else light salt with 1/4 Cracked pepper for the rub with lt olive oil

Looks delicious! I will definitely be trying this.
On a side note: The ending was so satisfying lol! Miley's patience finally paid off.. 🐕
Haha! Thank you for seeing it all the way to the end. Miley's a star! I just put a few tiny pieces of the pork mixed with her kibble and she was SO happy!
It’s so nice that the video was short and precise. My sauerkraut just finished fermenting and I have a garden full of potatoes. I was looking for a good pork loin recipe to compliment my sides. This is the first and last video that I will be watching for a recipe. I have all of the ingredients on hand! Thanks to another commenter I will definitely be looking at what other gems that you have on your channel. I can’t handle long drawn out videos, I’m very impressed. I can’t believe that I missed your decor! There is purpose in everything 😉
God bless.
Thanks so much for the encouragement. 🙏 I hope this recipe proves to be a winner for you. With potatoes straight from the garden, it already sounds wonderful. I'm new to gardening, myself, and love it. It's definitely caused me to experiment more with my cooking so that nothing goes to waste.😋
Just made a 4.5 lb loin roast using this recipe. Cooked it about 6.5 hours on low and added some honey into the glaze as well. Pork came out very juicy and tender, not dried out at all. The glaze was the perfect touch to it. Made some extra since I had so much meat and glad I did. Thanks for sharing this!
So happy you liked it, Jeff. Thanks for taking the time to tell me. I actually got hungry just reading your comment. Lol Will have to add honey to mine next time.
Best technique I’ve seen on CZcams. Thanks for posting this!

I love hearing that! I'm sure it will only get better each time you make it because, if you're like me, you'll start doubling that glaze. That's good stuff! Thanks for taking the time to comment, Joe.

Made this! It was a hit with my kids. Thanks for sharing. I was nice and gave our dog a small bite too!
Glad you liked it!! (And that your dog got a taste, too!)
I love this! I usually do barbecue sauce because my husband loves pulled pork. This really elevates it to nice dinner status!
I think it does, too. Especially, if you broil it at the end. It helps the presentation. Thanks for checking out my video and taking the time to comment. 😋
i guess I am kinda randomly asking but does anyone know of a good site to stream newly released tv shows online ?

This video was a lifesaver. Though I bought Tenderloin..day before party realized I had Loin roast. Used your recipe...ravings from crowd. My 2nd meat was boneless pork ribs so the two dishes complimented each other but were different flavors. Mouthwatering.
That sounds perfect. Glad it worked out for you. It's always stressful cooking for a crowd, but this one seems to be a hit every time. Thanks for the comment.
OMGoodness! Mmmm...mmmm TY🤗
Thank YOU for taking the time to comment. Appreciate the kind words.
Great recipe to take pork loin to next level. Also used w/preflavored garlic pork loin!
I ended up with a lot of water in the cooker after 2 hours. Probably the cheap walmart meat. I took the loin out, drained the liquid and restarted the cooking. Only took 4 hours so watch ur temps. The glaze is amazing and the meat was very tasty. Good stuff.
That was smart of you to remove all that excess water. It should have some liquid, but not that much. Glad it turned out good in the end. That glaze really makes it.
Looks good.
Thanks! It's a favorite in my home.
yum yum
I agree. 😋
looks really yummy, I think I am going to try this with a pork tenderloin
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for the comment.
Thanks for sharing this recipe I will making this soon, very easy, and looks delicious, Miley is soo cute 😍 Thanks
Happy to hear you'll be making it, and of course, I especially love the sweet comment about Miley.
Great video!😀
Thanks so much!
Wife and I made this today for the first time 3 lbs, followed the recipe except doubled the glaze and have to tell you we both tasted it before serving and we looked at each other and we both said "keeper" our sides were roasted potatoes, steamed broccoli topped with zesty Italian dressing. We decided next time we make this we will go with sliders, instead of adding BBQ sauce to the pork we will do this recipe but served on Hawaiian rolls and maybe a topping of Cole slaw see what happens. Thank you!
I love hearing you both felt this is a keeper. Your sides sound delicious. Thanks for coming back to comment.
😮 I really liked it good idea I might be doing that for dinner tonight😊😊
Happy to hear that. Thanks for watching!
Tristan has been after me to make a pork loin. I think I'll give this one a spin, It's so simple and the sauce looks great! I loved Miley prancing for her food! I wonder if I prance like that for food too??? Great Job again!
Miley is out of control. Sometimes she runs into things while prancing because all she can see is the bowl of food!

In our house I cook the Mexican dishes(basic recipes), grill and smoke the proteins, my wife does the Greek, American, baking and whatever else she desires, we both make a mean tamale, I'm trying to venture out on the Mexican dishes so you have provided a good selection to choose from thank you. I cooked a pork loin recipe once and it sucked lol I'm use to Pork Buttes/shoulder cut recipes so I will try this recipe of yours, keep posting your videos.
Thanks for watching my videos. How nice it must be to have both you and your wife cooking. My husband makes the best BBQ ribs, but it's an all-day affair. I've been wanting him to share how he makes them, but he hates being in front of the camera. I guess I just need to keep twisting his arm. Anyway, hope this pork recipe works for you. Just started this using a 1.5 pound Hormel pork loin. I hope it turns out good. Sounds and looks amazing on video. Thinking about 2-1/2 to 3 hours to cook then the glaze. 🤞
Hope it worked out for you. So far, it's a hit with everyone.
Making this tomorrow for company. I'm a Crock-Pot person too. I bought an instant pot and got rid of it after 3 or 4 uses. It just wasn't for me, though lots of folks think they're wonderful.
Hope you enjoy it. I finally got an instant pot. It's actually a Ninja Foodie that does nine different things..from pressure cooking to dehydrating foods. I couldn't wait to get it, and now I feel like it's collecting dust and taking up so much space. Meantime, I still use my crockpot at least once a week. I guess I just need to buckle down and figure out some instant pot recipes that work for me. My neighbor uses hers all the time and she's a really good cook. I need to have her teach me.
TY

Should You Lock the Lid on Slow Cookers While Cooking?
Some of Crockpot's Cook & Carry models come with a handy travel-proof locking lid that can snap on to provide a tight seal.
"A common mistake is when people think they should lock the latches on the side for effective cooking," says Imelda from the Crockpot Team, who assured us that this applies only to the Cook & Carry Slow Cooker. "Those latches are only designed to carry-out food somewhere to avoid spillage."
If there is a locking lid feature on your glass lid, that is only to prevent spills when you're toting the Crockpot to your potluck, not for when you're cooking.
"Locking those latches during cooking might build up pressure and might cause the lid to shatter or even cause the Stoneware to break," Imelda explains.
While the latches on the Crockpot look a bit like a pressure cooker, it's not intended for that use at all.
"Slow cooking doesn't require pressure," says Imelda, adding that the new slow cookers "have a quarter of an inch gap from the lid to the stoneware to give enough space for steam to come out."
Now that you know, you'll never make this mistake, and be you'll be ready to whip up food in your cook-and-carry slow cooker and bring it wherever it's needed.
I forgot to ask you also, what brand crockpot you have? I finally received mines from Amszon, but to me it looks like somebody returned it because the box was torn, and patched up with tape, and the lid has a a small scratch, and stoneware has some chips on the top edges, so I plan to return it, and buy another one. The one that I purchase had good ratings. Everybody gave it 5 stars, but I did not appreciate them sending me one that appear to be used. Since you said that you have yours for years now, and you're very happy with it, I would like to buy one like yours.
I'm cracking up with Miley. She knew she was getting a treat!!
Miley needs a sign that reads, "will prance for food!"

After browning the meat, I threw everything into the crockpot besides the cornstarch and let it cook on low for 8 hours to create an awesome meal enjoyed by the whole family.
Happy to hear your family enjoyed it. It's a favorite in my home. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
@@marcyinspired1442 added cornstarch to the leftovers the next day and used it to stuff omelettes with cheese making for an awesome breakfast at dinner time.
Just tried this and it was incredible. Thank you. I have a question, though. I had a 2 and a 1/2 lb loin fillet. I have the same crock pot but I used the probe. It cooked on low and was done in under 3 hours. It was moist, and tender but not falling apart. Should I have just cooked on low for longer for falling apart meat? I was afraid of drying it out.
🤔
The longer you let it cook on low, the more tender it gets. You don't need to worry about it drying out. It won't because it's sitting in all those juices. You can also take a spoon and pour some of the liquid on top from time to time as you check on it. Glad you liked the recipe. Hope you try making it again.
@@marcyinspired1442 Wow! Thanks so much for your speedy response. I'll be trying more of your recipes. I like your teaching style. ~ a new fan
@Monica Gebeau Martin Thank you. That's very sweet of you to say.❤️
I'll be making this tomorrow, but have a question. Your written ingredients in the description area states a 1/2 cup of brown sugar, whereas the video shows 3/4 cup. Which is it?
Go with 3/4 cup of brown sugar. I had no idea I typed it wrong in the description box. The sweetness should still come through with 1/2 cup, but 3/4 is better. Thank you for pointing that out, I'm going to see if I can correct that.
Just discovered you ! I’m trying this pork recipe, it’s along the lines of carnita ?
It's not like carnitas, but it's really good. It's got a little more sweetness because of the brown sugar, but I still use the leftovers to make some pretty killer tacos. I'm so happy you found my channel.
2:59 glaze
Do you drain any of the water before you turn the pork over and add the glaze?
I don’t. But you can if you feel there is too much liquid. That’s not a bad idea.
can I get a printed receipe
I’d brown the onion too
Or is that a searing pot?
No, that wasn't a searing pot, but the onion cooks down really well in the crockpot. Browning it first would be great, too.
I want to see how she made those potatoes
Hi Randy. I'll have to shoot a video of how I make those potatoes sometime in the future. Here's the short version: I coat them with olive oil on a baking sheet, sprinkle them with spices and about a Tbsp. of flour, and bake at 425º until golden on the outside. Thanks for checking out my channel and for being a new subscriber!
@@marcyinspired1442 thanks
You didn’t need to add any water. I stopped doing that a long time ago because I found that the meat will create plenty of its own juices.
How many quarts is your crockpot

I don't see a word about quantities, really?
All the amounts are in the description box beneath the video. If you're on a desktop, you click where it says "show more." If you're watching on a mobile device, it's a little harder to find. Just beneath the video on the upper right hand side, click on the little down arrow that looks like this "v" and that will show you everything in the description box. Hope this helps.

Total failure with the recipe of balsamic vinegar with the pork loin. It didn't fall apart like your, and it was dry. I followed the instructions to the letter. Like I said before it might be the slow cooker. That why I want to know the brand of your slow cooker. I'm returning the one that I brought from Amazon. It's got good ratings, but the seller sent me the cooker in a pathed up box, the lid has a scratch on it, and the stoneware has a chip. It definitely been used, and returned, and now they want to stick it to me.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. It has to be a faulty slow cooker because this is the first "failure" I've heard with this recipe. Thankfully, Amazon is pretty good about returns. Hope you get a better crockpot soon.
Thank you, but can you tell what brand name is yours, or is it a secret? HAHAHA!

The way I see it, if I were invited into someone's home, I would never go in and expect them to change their decor or the way they live for me. I truly am sorry that you're offended by my faith, because I try to love all people. But my loyalty is to God first, even if it means no one watches.
@@marcyinspired1442 You have not invited me into your home. You have chosen to open your home for gain. Its a bit like Jesus and the temple money changers.
@@montedaestrada3563 I am very familiar with that story. Jesus was angry because the Israelites were supposed to bring their sacrifices to the temple with repentant hearts. But, instead, it had been turned into a market and they were conveniently purchasing sacrifices once they got there. The fact they could even exchange foreign currency there, made it that much more convenient. In other words, it was no sacrifice at all. They represented the worst in religiosity.
