Damn, Melodienfestival really highlighted the magic of the song with the camerawork with he way she's backlit in the beginning and looking over her shoulder in the beginning. In the actual Eurovision all I thought was "Damn... the stage looks so dirty". In basically every performance throughout the night whenever there was an above shot on the artists and the floor wasn't lit it just looked so dry and dirty.
I really like what Melfest did with the camerawork for the 2nd pre-chorus leading up to the 2nd chorus (1:26 - 1:35).... how just before the chorus, the screen gets blurred then fades to black... then you open the chorus with a sweeping/zoom out shot... it's more dramatic and adds to the emotion (it also gives that "music video-ish" quality to it).... I don't know why they didn't retain this in Italy.
Much better production and camera work in melodifestivalen. A shame really. Some of the magic disappears with the wider angles and bigger stage. Still the best though.
Most of the magic disappears in the Grand Final. Instead of connecting with the audiens like Cornelia did in Melfest she were more isolated on the Turin stage and not looking into the camera as much either like in NF. The camera work in Turin makes everything so slow and lifeless in comparison to SVTs production and camera work.
I think the triangle front stage in Turin is the reason why keep camera works hard to found the best shot, for example 0:42~0:50, and it's not so friendly for performers either. The lighting works from 2nd pre-chorus at 1:28 is the biggest gap when we talk about perfection/precise, Melodifestivalen did every beat on point, it looks like heart pumping with drum, and Turin was run off a lot of power at chiaroscuro...
Once again, the Eurovision stage is unable to perfectly replicate the Melfest staging. Another issue Cornelia had was that in Italy, the circle screen had to spin a full 360 degrees, whereas she only needed to spin 180 degrees in the Melfest performance, turning her back to the audience, to get the shot we see at 1:48. I assume this was done because Italy can't replicate that same shot from the Eurovision stage, since Cornelia's not on a podium surrounded by people unlike in Melfest. This issue with the circle screen also affected the shots at 1:30, which should have zoomed out but instead locked onto her face because otherwise the crew would be visible.
What can we say more than that in Sweden, we know our television. A shame that Italy couldn't come with a better solution... Cornelia deserved better!💚
Really like her performance, but it lacks a bit of the magic of her official music video. You can't see that much of a difference between these two of the video

Sweden is so much better than Italy when it comes to entertainment production.

La luz en la final de Eurovision estuvo para llorar y bueno ese piso parece el de las fiestas de mi barrio
first performance with final's vocals would be way too good for eurovision idk if i'd handle that magic tbh
This performance is so much beter on a B-stage, was the B-stage in Turin to small for the prop maybe ?

Winner 😍
